I barely recognize it, is it a scrapbook page?

CHARLIE!

Well, here it is--my first layout of the year!  The paper is a beautiful, older collection from Little Yellow Bicycle called "25 Days of Christmas."  I've had it awhile but have been saving it for something special. Yes, I believe Charlie is special enough for this collection!!!  The old paper qualifies it for Simon Says Stamp and Show challenge and my friend Stacy's "Anything Goes" challenge.  The brown string on the left side of the photo came from her, too.  My husband still hasn't set up the photo booth so I snapped this on my deck steps. The picture has a shadow running right through it that isn't there in real life!  I'm saving for obedience training for Charlie so that he can participate as a therapy dog. I'd been wanting to do some volunteering (just been feeling called lately) and it occurred to me that this would help me get over my shyness and still help.

Thanks for stopping by.  I hope you like my first attempt back into scrapping!

Peter Rabbit in Yellow and Green

Since I am guest designer over at Crafter's Companion this month, I thought I'd make another "yellow" card for the challenge. I added some texture to this card by distressing the edges with my CTMH distressing tool to add it to the Simon Says Texture challenge. I also splattered some Luminarte powders on this which has some texture (and sparkle--which allows me to add it to Stacy's challenge) all by itself. Finally, I added some gorgeous Crate Paper buttons! One of the boys just might have to give me this card for some occasion. I don't' know if I can let it go. I love Peter Rabbit!!! I colored the image with CTMH water color pencils and some copics.

Thanks so much for visiting! I really appreciate it!

World's Best Dad

I used my water color pencils from CTMH as well as a couple of Copics to color in my Beatrix Potter image.

Thanks for visiting!

Freedom

I made this card for Memorial Day and for a couple of challenges: my friend Stacy's and
Simon Says Stamp Presents a Star Challenge! over at Lily Pad Cards and Simon Says Stamp and Show a summer holiday. You could say this would work as a Memorial Day card and a Fourth of July card. I used a PageMaps sketch... I took it pretty literally!

Thanks for visiting and I hope you are enjoying the Memorial Day weekend and remember our fallen soldiers and their families with a prayer.

Mini Book/Graduation Card

I made this little book/graduation card using one 8 1/2" by 11" sheet of paper!  I love that the inside middle is a surprise.  I got the butterfly, bird, and girl silhouette stamps from Simon Says Stamp and also am entering in their Anything Goes challenge this week.  The zinnias are from Flourishes and the rest of the stamps are Close to My Heart!  The base is kraft cardstock and the rest is either Crate Paper or DCWV.

Thanks for looking! I made this for my son's girlfriend for graduation.

Hope you have a great week!

Dream Big Sweet Boy

I made this from Diana's gorgeous sketch.  I'm also entering it at Simon Says Anything Goes...  I thought it was somewhat fitting that I worked on some baby pictures of our son who just turned 18!!!
