HOW TO ENTER: Submit one photo of your project to the Embroidery Gallery, and call your entry: “Combo Contest” for identification. If your project has a name, include it in your written description. Only one photo of your project & only one entry per entrant will be acceted. Entries will not post to the gallery until announcement of winners on August 27t There is no cost to enter, only registration with the Sublime Stitching website (so you can submit to the gallery).

NOT-SO-BAD RULES: Entries will be judged for creative originality, color choice, and creation of a (loose) thematic narrative with embroidery patterns. No purchase necessary. Anyone can enter regardless of skill level! Yes! You can make something completely original. Yes! You can mix original work with patterns. Yes! You can use other designs (if they are properly credited with your entry). Only one photo per project will be considered when submitted to the Embroidery Gallery on Sublime Stitching. SXSW Standard Recording Company Day Party

If you are in or can get to Austin, Texas, this week for SXSW be sure to attend the Standard Recording Company Day Party at Dirty Dog Bar. The party is this Thursday, March 18, and starts at Noon. You'll get to enjoy complimentary beer, great music, and lots of fun craft stuff. Yudu / ProvoCraft will be there passing out free silk screen totes & shirts. Also, Jenny Hart of Sublime Stitching will be there passing out FREE embroidery patterns. Whisper the secret code word "GUMPTION" to Jenny to receive a special treat! As if that wasn't enough, Etsy*Austin will be manning the make-and-take crafts table! The event is free and open to the public, but they are asking you to RSVP.
