Party Animals

Hello Fresh Squeezed fans!  Do your weekend plans include a birthday party stop?  Katie here with a fun and fast birthday card idea to share that you can whip up as you are headed out the door.

I stamped the balloon giraffe from Life of the Party in a few different colors of ink on a panel of white cardstock and added a sentiment from Inside Scoop: Birthday.  I love the font used on this sentiment- it's so modern and fun.  The sentiments included with Inside Scoop were designed to go on the inside of the birthday card, but I thought this one worked nicely on the outside too!

As a finishing touch, I rounded the bottom left corner of the stamped panel, affixed a handful of enamel dots and adhered the finished panel to an aqua cardstock base. I think these bright and cheerful balloon party animals would be the life of any celebration!

That's all for me today.  Thanks so much for stopping by!  -Katie

Pretty Pink Birthday

Hello Fresh Squeezed fans!  Sarah here with a back to basics...really basic...card for a pretty pink princess on her first birthday!

Often I find myself caught up with the latest gadgets and needing a reminder of why I love this craft in the first place - the simple joy of lifting a stamp and seeing that magical image transferred to paper!  I have a one layer card today using, count 'em - 1,2,3,4 Fresh Squeezed Stamp sets!  Don't they work so well together?

I had a vision of pink birthday balloons floating over a city.  I stamped in three shades of pink ink - the skyline from On Trend 2013, balloons from Life of the Party, little hearts (to match the heart window in the skyline - have you ever noticed that?) from When Hearts Collide and sentiment from Take a Number.

I think this could easily be turned into a sweet Valentine's card by switching to a sentiment from When Hearts Collide or A Punny Valentine!

Thanks for joining us today, I hope you get to enjoy the simple joy of touching stamp to paper today!   -Sarah

Create Your Own Colored Paper

Happy Monday, Fresh Squeezed friends! It's Virginia here! Today I am sharing a birthday card. Why a birthday card in the middle of December? Well, it happens to be my birthday today!  :)

I used the festive piñata from Life of the Party along with a fun sentiment from Everyday Expressions to create my birthday card.

I set out to create an unique colored paper and used my favorite medium - alcohol inks! It really is simple to do!  If you have not tried using inks to create colored paper, you should give it a go.  You do not have to use alcohol inks, any inks will do.  Just swipe your chosen colors onto paper and then you can stamp/emboss any image!  Here I used glossy paper and dabbed alcohol inks and blending solution and then let dry.  After that, the fun part is to emboss the image over the color paper.  Cut and assemble.  Voila!

I hope this inspires you to create your own colored paper!  It truly is a lot of fun!  Thanks for stopping by!  -Virginia

Birthday Bash

Happy Monday, Fresh Squeezed friends!  It's Virginia here!  First of all, I'd like to thank Shannon and Ryann for having me back.  It's been so fun to be a part of Fresh Squeezed Stamps DT that I decided to extend my stay here.  I hope that you're not tired of me; as I will continue to share my FSS creations here every Monday!  So...let's get started!

Today I'm sharing a colorful card with you.  With a variety of inks, you can easily create an ombre effect with solid images. You can choose any colors to personalize your card for the recipient.  I chose to do a bright and colorful one to match the feel of this festive birthday card using Life of the Party!

I purposely stamped the animal balloons on the upper part of the card because they are "filled" with helium!

Life of the Party

I hope that you ink up some solid images and see how much fun it is to stamp! Be sure to stop by every day to check out the beautiful work from the NEW design team! Thanks so much for stopping by!

Back to Stamping!

Hello, Fresh Squeezed friends! It's Virginia here sharing a simple card with you. It's all about STAMPING!! There isn't a single piece of pattern paper or embellishment involved! It is completely FLAT and it's perfect for mailing

This 100% stamped card has that "special something" that a printed card does not have! It has a whitewash look- rustic and organic!  Each balloon was stamped multiple times (white chalk ink and various colored dye inks).  After stamping the balloons, I then stamped the strings in black.  I also inked up the edges to make the design look more cohesive. At the end, I embossed the sentiment from this set Inside Scoop: Birthday.  The balloon image is from Life of the Party.

I hope this has inspired you to try stamping with kraft cardstock. The effect is satisfying and oh.so.FUN!  Thanks for stopping by!!

"Alter" That Stamp!

Happy Monday, Fresh Squeezed friends! It's Virginia here sharing a card that requires a little "tweaking"! Have you ever tried to alter the look of a stamp and make it work with your design? Today's card will give you some ideas about what I mean.
I love the animal balloon and wanted to use it. I also wanted to incorporate the PARTY sentiment from the "bubble" image. So what to do? First, I stamped and masked the balloons in various inks! Then I simply cut off the word "PARTY" and colored it with copics and outlined the word with a small black pen. Basically the image went through a little "surgery"! After that, I attached the image with strings and a small wooden clip! FUN, huh?
Life of the Party
I hope you like the transformation as much as I do. I hope this inspires you to make the stamps work for you! Thanks for stopping by!

Pinata Party

Want to join the Fresh Squeezed Stamps design team?  We're accepting applications now!  More info HERE!

Hi Fresh Squeezed fans!  Tracey here sharing another card using the new Life of the Party stamp set!

I created my background using three of the sentiments from this set.  I have a little trick I use to make sure I keep my stamping straight.  I draw a light pencil line from the top left corner of my card base down to the bottom right corner. Then I center my first word over the line and then make sure each stamped sentiment is stamped identical, I eyeball the spacing in between.  After I have done the middle I draw another line parallel to the left and another to the right. Then I use the same technique.

You can find a picture tutorial of this technique on my blog today.

A sentiment from Everyday Expressions was masked and stamped on the card base and the pinata image was stamped, colored with Copics and then adhered with foam tape.  A few sequins and it's done!

I used Life of the Party and Everyday Expressions for today's card.  The perfect sentiments and image for a surprise birthday party!

Check back here tomorrow for more Fresh Squeezed fun!

Release Week Day 1 - Life of the Party

Well, hello there, and welcome to our August Release Week bash!  We're starting our week off with a party, of course, and this new set is just perfect.  Our design team has come up with some very special cards that really show off the versatility of this one...

Life of the Party is full of images perfect for today's families and their love of birthday parties.  We've got a playful piñata, balloons of all kinds (including a precious giraffe!), wild and crazy bubbles, a storybook inspired cake, and lots of sentiments to mix and match.

Life of the Party

This colorful piñata is the perfect match for Virginia Lu's clever sentiment!  Looks like we got lucky and now everyone's going to enjoy some sparkly goodies!

What's a party without bubbles, right?  Tracey McNeely put layers of color onto this playful card, so throw on your party hat and celebrate!  We won't burst your bubble...you're in for a good time!

Heather Pulvirenti expertly used texture to create a fantastic backdrop for her embossed and paper pieced piñata.  She threw in a great sentiment from Everyday Expressions, so now we're all ready to party!

Clean and graphic is just one of the styles that works well with this new set.  Heather Campbell does a great job with it here using *pops* of color on the balloons and enamel dots -- crisp, clean, clever!

Don't these balloons make you smile?!  Leigh Penner made a shaker card using the giraffe and round balloons from the set, then added colorful sequins inside a photo frame die-cut. There may also be a little sneaky peek of another new release on this one...

Erin Taylor rocked this birthday card with lots of trendy colors and patterns, making our crazy cake the star!  Who wouldn't love receiving this card on their birthday?!
