From Owl of Us

Hi everyone!  Lesley here with my final design project for Fresh Squeezed Stamps!  Today I am sharing a card I made with my absolute FAVORITE stamp set called Hootie Who?  My entire classroom is owl themed and so I was absolutely thrilled to receive this set!  I can see myself using it a lot!  I mixed it up with the pretty birthday sentiment from Everyday Expressions.

It has been an awesome experience, designing for both Ryann and Shannon.  Supportive and really organized, these ladies made me feel good about myself as a card maker!  I loved working with the amazing design team too!  You ladies inspired me to try new ideas and to move outside of my comfort zone with my projects.  It was an all-around fantastic experience!

Thank you for stopping by!  -Lesley

Make a Wish

Good morning, Fresh Squeezed friends! Stacey here with a soft and feminine birthday card using the "make a wish" sentiment from Everyday Expressions with the star image from Friendly Folk.

The sentiment was inked up in a leafy green ink and stamped over some mint green patterned paper while the star was stamped three times and fussy cut to create a sparkle effect from the hand-rolled candle. Lots of yummy birthday layers and textures went into play on my card today...plus a little splotchy ink and a few scattered sequins.

Make a Wish

Happy New Year everyone! Lesley here with a fun birthday card/gift combo! I am so excited to ring in 2014!

My hubby turns 42 on Sunday and I wanted to make him a birthday card and a matching gift card holder.  I just used a random gift card for the photo...the one he is getting is for a local bike shop but I have not been able to pick it up yet!  This time of year is just TOO busy!

I used a new to me set called Breath of Fresh Flair!  This was one that I had on my wishlist for a long time!  I just had to have it because of the little bike in the set!  I love that it fits perfectly in my circle punches!  The sentiments are from Everyday Expressions.

Happiest of Birthdays!

Hello everyone! Lesley here!  Today I am sharing a 40th birthday card.  I used some pretty colors - pink, red and green.  I wanted to keep my card fairly clean & layered...with the flower being the main focus.

I've used Everyday Expressions for the birthday sentiment and the 4 and 0 numbers from Take a Number.

Wintery Birthday Wishes

Good morning, Fresh Squeezed Stamps lovers!  It's winter..it's cold...arctic, actually! This card is my attempt at embracing the recent arctic blast that made it's way through our neck of the woods recently.

I created this girly birthday card using the new Arctic Friends and Everyday Expressions. My dear daughter, Hannah, has a birthday party to attend and she loves this wintery walrus with a little bloom on her head!

Create Your Own Colored Paper

Happy Monday, Fresh Squeezed friends! It's Virginia here! Today I am sharing a birthday card. Why a birthday card in the middle of December? Well, it happens to be my birthday today!  :)

I used the festive piñata from Life of the Party along with a fun sentiment from Everyday Expressions to create my birthday card.

I set out to create an unique colored paper and used my favorite medium - alcohol inks! It really is simple to do!  If you have not tried using inks to create colored paper, you should give it a go.  You do not have to use alcohol inks, any inks will do.  Just swipe your chosen colors onto paper and then you can stamp/emboss any image!  Here I used glossy paper and dabbed alcohol inks and blending solution and then let dry.  After that, the fun part is to emboss the image over the color paper.  Cut and assemble.  Voila!

I hope this inspires you to create your own colored paper!  It truly is a lot of fun!  Thanks for stopping by!  -Virginia

A Special Adventure

Hi there! Leigh here with a card that I made using the sweet little bicycle from Breath of Fresh Flair and a sentiment from Everyday Expressions.

I had been looking through my 6x6 paper pads and came across this fun travel sheet. I decided it would be neat to used these stamps to convey the message that when we're together, every day feels like an adventure!

I trimmed my patterned paper panel and adhered it to my card base. I die cut two frame dies from kraft and cream cardstock. I stamped my sentiment in black on the cream cardstock, trimmed it and adhered it to the kraft frame, on which I heat embossed my bike using red embossing powder. I added a thin strip of striped patterned paper and finished it off with some twine, because it reminded me of a package.

Getting More Out of Your Stamps

Hi there! Leigh here with a card that I made with Everyday Expressions in an unusual way: I used the front and back sides of my stamps!

I inked up the back of several stamps in three colors to stamp my background, stamping off with each color.  Then I went back and stamped the corresponding image overtop, stamping off again sometimes.

I trimmed my stamped panel and adhered it to my card, stitching it in place. I stamped my sentiment and then adhered a die cut frame (embossed with a woodgrain impression plate and wrapped with twine & buttons) with dimensional adhesive.

Hi there!  Leigh here with a card that I made using three stamp sets: the little bicycle from Breath of Fresh Flair, the skyline from On Trend 2013 and a sentiment from Everyday Expressions.

I started by stamping the skyline in Versamark and heat embossed it with black embossing powder.  Then I die cut some clouds from some post-it notes to make masks for when I added some blue ink to the card using a blending tool.  I added some strips of patterned paper and stamped the bicycle. Then I cut a banner from my mat, stamped the sentiment and adhered to the card after wrapping with twine. Some stitching finishes it off!

Dreams Come True Year!

Want to join the Fresh Squeezed Stamps design team?  We're accepting applications now!  More info HERE!

Hi, everyone! Heather P. here with a quick and easy fall-themed card!

To create my card, I started with an aqua card base.  Next, I stamped the woodgrain image from Background Check in white ink onto kraft cardstock, then wrapped it with twine.

Next, I stamped cream cardstock with peach, tan and aqua inks using the larger leaf image from Everyday Expressions.  To finish up, I stamped one of the sentiments from Inside Scoop: Birthday in brown ink.  To finish up, I adhered the stamped layer to peach cardstock and attached it to the card front with pop dots.

That's all from me today, but be sure to come back tomorrow for more FSS inspiration! :)

Celebrate

Happy Saturday!  It's Heather Campbell here!  I have a happy, clean and simple card to share today.

To create this card, I stamped the bows first, then I added the string and then light bulbs. To add color to the light bulbs, I masked the outside of them and used a sponge dauber and an ink pad to add color!  I use this technique a lot because of the neat texture it adds to the images!  All the images are from String Me Along and the sentiment is from Everyday Expressions.

Have a great day!

Hey there! Leigh here with a card that I made using a new set that was just released last month: Everyday Expressions.  I used some patterned paper as my background and, while doing a bit of masking, stamped the flowers, leaves & sentiment directly onto it.  I couldn't resist adding a scalloped border and some enamel dots to finish it off.

This is such a pretty stamp set!  Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!
