There are a lot of songs called "The Fourth of July" in the United States, nor created equal. My favorite is Dave Alvin's from 1986.
There is a part of this song that evokes a certain always of feeling in me, and so maybe that’s why I like the idea of Dave always singing it, alright
These recordings of The Fourth of July were culled from the Internet Archive using the search term "Dave Alvin"

Some of the songs are pretty rare and don't come up often. Yet another Stones show of various quality. Some of these cuts sound like soundboard, while others sound like they were recorded with the mic they buried with Brian Jones. See Scans

Alien Sex Fiend - Too Much Acid? -1989
Various venues-various dates @320
{Out of Print}

Recorded at various dates during the European leg for the Another Planet album, the set list is heavy on material from that and It, plus a number of singles cuts from around that time, demonstrating nicely that the group was far from a revival act even when most of its Batcave contemporaries had long since disappeared. ~AllMusic.com
