Scorpions - Kaleidospop 1977

*THANKS TO THE ORIGINAL POSTER

You know, my favorite era with Scorpions is the Uli Roth years. I feel after he left they kinda took a nosedive. "Lovedrive" pretty much stinks, "Animal Magnetism" has it's moments but after that I quit listening. When they signed to RCA that was/is their crowning moment, and for the most part it's all cause of Uli Roth. Do yourself a favor check out their RCA years. Short set hear but this will give you a taste of what you might have missed during those RCA years.

Songs

1.All Night Long

2.Pictured Life

3.Backstage Queen

4.Polar Nights

5.In Trance

6.Speedy's Coming

Scorpions are a German rock band formed in 1965 in Hanover by Rudolf Schenker. Since the band's inception, its musical style has ranged from hard rock to heavy metal. The lineup from 1978–92 was the most successful incarnation of the group, and included Klaus Meine, Rudolf Schenker (rhythm guitar), Matthias Jabs (lead guitar), Francis Buchholz (bass guitar), and Herman Rarebell (drums). The band's only constant member is Rudolf Schenker, although Meine has been the lead singer for all of the band's studio albums, and Jabs has been a consistent member since 1979.

The first three Scorpions records were killer and then they went AOR all over us...

The original version of the album cover, photographed by Michael von Gimbut, was censored for clearly showing the cover model's exposed breast hanging down towards the guitar. Later releases have the breast blacked out so that it is not visible. This is the first of many Scorpions album covers that have been censored.

Old guys still rock...
