my poor first attempt to sort of document the making of a card. I have so much to learn.

I used the dies to cut out and a gold pen to go around the edges  sorry bad photography

  two completed pieces.

I cut the frame with my favourite Penny Black die and arranged the flowers and leaves on the background.

I then added a sentiment.

And a less than brilliant photo of the completed cart which was actually quite effective

autumn in tehe frant garden

Yesterday it was a walk in the back garden, today I walk into the front and also into the driveway next door
I adore these colours so picked a couple of branches and some sasanqua camellias.

this is a mt Fuji that I grew from a smaller tree that I have in the back...I love the autumn glow.  sorry for lack of caps...my computer is not playing nice.  and nor are my eyes so I expect the second cataract surgery is due.

I took them into the bedroom and lay them on the bed...ms moggie had to check them out.

I added them to some rose buds I had already in a vase.  late roses.

mothers day flowers were half price and these were fully in bud so I splurged on tues night.  ms moggie decided they were a great mummy's day gift. and she knows not to eat the brown stuff of even sniff it.
looking out the kitchen window we have the backdrop of the glory vine.

The dying days of a Melbourne Autumn

As Autumn draws to a close, the nights get colder and the sky is less exciting, one feels the tendrils of the oncoming winter days.
\I went out, just before dusk, after taking photos from inside the kitchen, and wandered barefoot in the slightly damp grass.
Not my brightest moment!

Late Autumn in a garden to the west of Melbourne/

This is the colour that loured me out into the rain soaked garden.
Yes we even had another shower today

Thyme in a nice square pot.....has already been in a lovely lamb shank broth.

I love end of season roses.  still cheerful but you value them for you know winter is half a month away.

Love the colours in this one.  Wish I could paint/colour them in

I tired not to fall into the rose bed

I finally grabbed the branch.....for another view.

Not quite the last rose of summer but getting close.

And this ever changing view has been what I see from my kitchen window each day

I feel so blessed to watch God's paintbrush at work.  This is a glory vine and it is truly glorious.

Now inside to enjoy a little closer up than looking at them out of the kitchen window.

I love Autumn
Years ago when it was fashionable to have ones colours done ....a favourite cousin shouted me the experience.
I was an Autumn
I claim I am a Autumn/Winter who was born at the end of summer.
I wear a lot of black and it should be dark brown.
