Can I have a wee cry?

I sat next to someone on Wed night.  He was coughing.  I did think this was unwise but hard to do anything about.  I also suggested horseradish and garlic and Vit C.  It is not his fault, but I slept deeply Thurs morning till the phone woke me.....and then I realized I should be at sit and sew.....less than 1km away approx....and they told me I was missing out on soup,.
I went to make myself a cup of soup then thought.....oh bother...threw yesterdays clothes on and got in the car...walked in and collected soup and a yummy birthday present

So beautifully hand made and with lovely pieces all beautifully finished off.

And in my special autumn colors.

A tape measure, round....a pin cushion in Cathedral style...a scissor case
and a flip flop needle case.

and I have been meaning to make one of these thread containers for when I am hand sewing and have somewhere to put the cut off threads into.

So it was really worth getting dressed and I had yummy chicken soup......but somehow the Jewish penicillin did not work and when I got home I coughed non stop till Manuka honey and milk and brandy and 2.30 am.

I staggered awake and opened  the door to my cleaning lady yesterday and said in an oh so tragic voice......
I am really sick.
LOL.
I laugh when I look back but at the time it was like being woken from the dead and I felt like it.
Except of course waking from the dead will feel good.
So of course..I am on the singing roster on Sunday morning and I printed the song sheets out last night and refreshed myself on a couple ...I can actually nearly always sing when I lose my voice but this morning I decided when I saw the rain outside that I did not really want pneumonia again, so reluctantly rang......they thought I was a man and could not understand me...LOL>
So I am sick....sobs......not happy Jan.

But am happy about rain....and nice green lawns and raindrops on roses.

And da kitten still has whiskers!!

So sorry you are sick, but what a fun little post! You sound nice and cozy, though, just the day to stay in and get yourself well enough to sing like a lady next week (instead of sounding like a man, teehee!)...love the birthday gifts, btw, happy belated birthday!!! So was it a surprise birthday party for you at sit and sew this week? How fun!! Sounds worth picking up yesterday's clothes, putting them on for the km trip down the street, lol!

I'm sorry to hear you are sick. Take good care of yourself and get better soon.

Your birthday presents are gorgeous. Have you figured out how to make those flip flop needle cases yet?

Caring friends, gorgeously pretty gifts, chicken soup, honey, milk and brandy, PLUS rain, and a warm cosy house should have you feeling better very soon. As a last touch Ms Moggie could don a nurses apron and purr sweet nothings into your ear.

Please Get Well, Stay Well and Enjoy Every Day.

Hugs - without coughs!
