Now this is free
But I am not always good.
Now let me introduce you to my long distance friend and
look alike Miss Sophie who lives up in the bush with her two other cats and her goats.
We are not so generous about sharing our home here. We like the big dogs next door because
they tell us when someone is coming and are our guard dogs, but we really believe cats should live inside, so we are not too fussed when some of them come in our yard. We just watch them.
No anger is showed, but, really....where are their manners.
However we know that Miss Sophie does have manners so we will allow this small comparison of the two of us.
The naughty corner
Oh yes you were you little brat. I was being so good and putting all my magazines in order on the bookshelf and you, my four legged baby were charging around the room from one place where you are not allowed to scratch to the next.
Since water was having zilch effect I suddenly remembered Nanny Jo and the naughty corner.
Well it worked.
I do have a larger container but I popped her in this while we had the door open and she really does not mind....just moves the large rear rump into place and settles down.....
does not even race to get out the open door.

Card made with machine embroidery
Things we do in an evening..........
And the shelf that looks the tidiest is the one not touched.
I have run out of space.
Bottom shelf which is in order is Australian Patchwork and Quilting. Need issues 1,2, & 5,6 for Vol 1 and I have a complete set.
Next row is Country Craft and decorating......must check that but almost a full set.
Then Down under quilting on top of that.
Then a row of books.
Then a row of hand and machine embroidery.
Country Threads all present and in order on the three layer shelf thing to the extreme right.
Handmade on the table and in two folders to the left.
Patchwork and stitching and Quilter's Companion up top.
Odd USA ones etc on table to the left.
Cat went berserk while this activity went on so ended up in naughty corner ....basket on table....and I lay awake and ached for my pains.......but at least I know what issues I am looking for.

A birthday gift
Almost finished. Just have to sew down the fossil fern edge and then go and buy another handle.
Bluebirds of happiness.
Bluebirds of happiness.
The Naughty Corner
My Mummy was very active tonight. She cleared out two lots of magazines. Two whole shelves full and it was rather exciting watching piles grow and sometimes slip over and she would carry them to the sofa and the table and sort them and count them.....and so I raced around and did everything a cat could possibly do to help. I nipped at carpet, had a try at scratching a chair here and there....she says I am her only failure. She taught 2 other cats not to scratch furniture.....how come she has failed with me. Well maybe I am just not scared of water. She squirted me, she even smacked my tail with some magazines.......oh she was getting cross.
It was actually quite fun. Our nights are not usually this exciting.
But Mummy finally lost it. She had done a bit of thinking and threatening about throwing me out in the rain, but I knew the council would get her if she did that.........then ...and I have to admit this was quite clever, she went and got my horrible small vet crate. Not even the big one.
She grabbed me while I was innocent and in I went.
And there I sat...........in the naughty corner on the table until she was finished and good and ready to let me out.
Well.......it did calm me down a bit!
Well..........even a lot!
Hmmmmm, must remember that one for the future.

Now Daddy is into the act...so here is the Miss Daisy quilt inspector seal of approval
Yeah ....It is OK. It has the Miss Daisy seal of approval. It even has a label. I do love my Auntie in Australia but I did not know she was bright enough to remember a quilt label. She is up the scale of approval just a fraction.
And I guess if it comes from Moggie too, then her part has to be the cat hair. It is white??? Must be that big fat white tummy of hers. Tee Hee!
So is it mine?
Just notice that My Mummy is a painter and the picture in the top right hand corner is one of her paintings.
Suppose I have to say Moggie you and your Mum
are sort of OK after all.....
Oh I do take such a good photo!
Just as I thought.......that darn Moggie. I could smell her....and now I can see her. And actually she is a bit squashed and flat but she does not smell dead, so there must be a funny way of doing this. I am not sure about "her" being on here with us pedigree cats.....she is after all only a Moggie. But then, I guess her Mum is OK, well my Mum and Dad write to her so she must be on the Christmas card list, so I guess it must be OK.
Well here I am with Mum and since I can see Dad holding his baby and that old Moggie is OK to keep Mum's feet warm as long as I am up here with the better class of cat!
It is actually pretty neat isn't it!. Who would have thought that funny old parcel could have this in it and Mummy is happy....so of course I am happy as can be because I love to see my Mummy and Daddy happy.
My Baby picture
Now this does look like cats......odd ones ...but then they have things like wombats and Kangaroos in Australia.
Have to say this is folded well.....it is a bit bright for my delicate eyes.. let me open things up and bit..............oh WOW!
At last a parcel has arrived in the USA and the secret will soon be able to be on Blog
What is this thing on our step
Why is Mummy taking a photo and why cannot I smell catnip?
I can smell something....I wonder what it is. It says it is from Australia.
Lets get it inside.
Boy that lady went bananas with that shiny tape stuff. Anyone would thing she wanted to keep me out.

Hmmmmm our customs have let it in. Wonder if they felt for weapons?
Oh dear, I can smell cat!
Not that Moggie.......oh Mummy please tell me this is not squashed Moggie???

I really do try to help and that lady disturbs me.
Here I am helping with the envelopes for hearts that Mummy has been making. She has been so slack and of course, as usual, is now trying to catch up.
I wonder what it would be like to have an organized Mother who thought and planned ahead like her friends do and who slept in the nights not the days.
I do hope I have your sympathy. Life can be rough especially when she puts on foot cream and that lovely smelly arthritis cream. She does not want me to lick it from her hands for some reason so while we were watching Dancing with the stars....I wanted them to have a tie........but Kate is fantastic. I just think Fifi did so well for a non music person and improved so much. And as for her partner.........is he not just gorgeous. Oh be still my beating heart........he did say hi to his wife and children. !!
So am I not just the best helping cat you could have....Mummy and I had a lovely wrestle and cuddle while we watched that program she told you about. Then she came to the den of iniquity and I had to check her out.
Besides she has hidden my dry food to make me eat that horrible stuff she bought today.
Moggie.........be good.......it was not my fault. The shop did not have your favourites in stock.

blog goodies shop hop 1
The lovely thank you angel gift from my lovely and very clever
and talented mortal Lucy Kennedy.
Some goodies from shopping and a lovely cat sewing pouch originally purchased by my equally lovely roomie Thea for herself...I think the
Moggie appeal was too great. I am certainly very grateful.
I needed a new yellow 6x12" ruler so that came from Maldon and the silk thread are either from Attic quilts or the Golly shop whose proper name escapes me this late at night.
The Mum's moment pattern was a gift from Honeysuckle Glass & Patchwork. A lovely place to visit and indulge in watching two creative people. The glass work did have to take second place to serving on the shop hop.
I went, I enjoyed, I slept more than I wanted to, but I am glad I went.
The retreat was fantastic.
I arrived later than I wanted to on the Thurs night but did get my soup at the Chinese Museum and followed someone home and had a good sleep in the next morning, then joined in at registration time.
I had a quilt in show and tell on the first night. The meals were great but I cannot remember one thing I ate.
The area to be walked was greater than I expected and my dear friend who was using the taller of Mum's two walkers had it here for me shortly after I arrived home. Telling me that hers was faster because it was red......
Since mine is British racing green I rest my laurels on that.
I made it through to the bus hop on Monday and left there at 8 am Tues morning....was home around 10 am....or at least in Hoppers Crossing. I did get milk etc which was just as well as I had finished 3 courses of antibiotics the night I arrived and spent the two weeks after arriving home coughing, sneezing wheezing and enjoying Panadol and bed...first visit out was today the first of May.
Had my feet done and found the male podiatrist so much better than the lady one that she has the flick from now on. Amazing how two people can approach a job so differently. Mind you he looked like he was cutting a hedge but he did so much more and was so much better I did not feel like I wanted my chiropodist back again.
I shopped....and I think doing without went to my head as I bought a few things I would not normally buy..however the freezer is doing shrinking exercises and I have sort of managed to get it all put away.
Will share some more about the retreat later.........all congratulations to the fabbo organizing comittee. While I was a virgin.........hard to not be a born again one......vbg....it went wonderfully.
My major regret was that I did not realize that the closing ceremony was at lunch. Fibro tends to attack the memory and ability to function as effectively as I would like to, so slept through that which was a shame. Will teach me to check things out the night before.
I have sewn!!
