Dress Up time!!

I've been having WAY too much fun with the new Biker Girl digital outfits for the Bombshell Angel Stamp!
I thought she looked like a 1960's British Tough Girl like Emma Peel from the Avengers so I went for as Mod look!
Coloured with Copics.

Feel the Lurve

Had a lovely Valentine's Day, yesterday with my 'Dh'- we've been together nearly 20 years, that's half our lives!!
We had a grown-ups day sans children on Friday with a trip to the Ashmolean in Oxford-we were full up with culture!
So after a coffee and cakey we went to see the dinosaurs at the Natural History museum and look at the shrunken heads at the Pitt Rivers Museum!
While looking at the dinosaur we discovered that our FAVE dinosaur at infant school for BOTH of us was the Triceratops-see 'twas destiny and dinosaurs brought us together!
Anyway here's a lil' card I made for my baby using lovely October Afternoon papers and Grungeboard shapes and lots of inky, ink!

When I was colouring in my Pirate Parrot Bombshell the other week I remembered those spinners where you have an empty cage on one side and a parrot on the other. When you spin the spinner the parrot magically appears in the cage!!
So for world card Day here's my version of a Spinner card or 'Put the Parrot in the Cage'!!

Here's a tutorial for the card and spinner- click on the images to see a bigger version....

And here it is in action!!!

Faeries!!!

So I've been practising more with my Copics on these gorgeous images by Mo Manning Digital Pencil Too

Tabia is a beautiful little fairy blowing bubbles.
Copics Used:
Skin E15, E17,E18
Hair C1,C5, C9
Dress B00, B02, B32 (R20, R22 for trim)
Shadow C1 & C5

Someone asked me about the glittered wings here's what I did:
When I did Fabia's wings- I coloured them in the lightest blue (B00) all over.
I then went over the veins and outer edge very carefully with the B02.
I went in with the blender pen and removed ink within each section of the wing (roughly following the shape) this made the wing appear more transluscent.
I glittered her wings with Crystal Stickles which I applied and spread with my finger tip to make a thin layer.

This is Fairy 3 who is having a whale of time swooshing through the air- she looks likes she up to some mischief!
Skin E00,E11, R20
Dress Y11, Y21, Y28 and YG03
Hair E31, E33, E35

Panther!!!!

I've been playing with my new Bombshell stamps- Panther Tattoo.

I stamped the Panther in Black ink on white card then coloured him in with black Stickles.
It was surprising easy to do as the Stickles nozzle is very fine and controllable!

I've also done a lary Panther glittered in PURPLE on a magnetic background- he's hanging menacingly on my metal noticeboard!!

25 June 2009

Tri-Fold card!!!

I saw a Tri-fold on SplitCoast Stampers.com and loved it but was worried it would be a real faff!
However thanks to a great tutorial HEREthe card was made in no time at all!!
It's so funky!!

So then out came the decorating bit!!
Out came my Cosmo Cricket Early Bird which is so retro and cool- I LURVE it!!!
I used my Retro Cowgirls which I stamped onto Cosmo Cricket paper to give them patterned clothes!
