Another Carol Peters OOAK outfit--this time, the lovely Daphne Dimples (Effanbee) from the Brenda Starr collection is our model.

I think she's simply sizzling!

Prudence as Marie

Prudence as Marie by alington
Prudence as Marie, a photo by alington on Flickr.
Another wonderful one-of-a-kind outfit by the talented Carol Peters, this is Prudence Moody as Marie Antoinette.

I understand Carol was inspired by Val Zeitler's Young Marie collection, as featured in Haute Doll Magazine a few years ago. (It was a collection created for Sky, a Peak's Woods BJD, and what inspired my very first BJD purchase.) Carol created her own French Court Petit Trianon cotton day dress of this lovely floral print, trimmed with lace, ribbon and roses.

She even created a wig for Prudence as well. See the cute little blue bird, peeking through the top?

You can see additional photos of this outfit on my Flickr photostream. Enjoy!

Ellowyne in Carol Peters

Here is a lovely one-of-a-kind outfit, designed by Carol Peters and modeled by Ellowyne Wilde. Victorian inspired, in a burnout velvet print and red shantung with lots of velvet ribbon detail, Ellowyne looks her very best.

I love the detail of the velvet purse and the fringed hat.

Lady Bee in Carol Peters

Lady Bee by alington

A nod to mod--This is Peak's Woods Lady Bee, a mini ball-jointed doll (42 cm or about 17 inches), dressed in a one-of-a-kind outfit by Carol Peters, a member of my doll group. She made this lovely outfit, including panties and stockings, for our Christmas gift exchange.

I think the fabric is just perfect--color and and scale. The outfit also fits Ellowyne and Tyler, but I wanted to model it on lovely Lady Bee today. (My BJDs have sort of migrated over to the BJDs for Beginners website of late.)

Lady Bee has a face-up by Beesou of Overnight Flight, and is wearing a wig by Monique Gold and glass eyes by Mint on Card.

Poppy Parker - in Carol Peters!

Portrait in Black Poppy Parker in a OOAK outfit by Carol Peters.

Another fun photo shoot from the doll meet yesterday, Portrait in Black Poppy Parker got to try on a brand new outfit. This doll belongs to Valerie, one of our contributors, who is desperately trying to get ready for IFDC. (As I am, though I was too excited not to share photos of this lovely outfit!)

Val had asked Carol Peters, another long-time member of the doll club, to make her a dress from this pre-pleated watercolor fabric, thinking it would be a great mod-era dress. Sure enough, it's perfect!

Carol thought Poppy needed something more, too, so she also added:

  • A turquoise coat, with a closure at the neck, lined in hot pink
  • A matching purse, with a beaded handle and beaded trim
  • A hairband with an oversized bow

Poppy looks absolutely adorable in this outfit! You can see more photos on Flickr.

I'm trying to convince Carol to create some addition one-of-a-kind works and sell them. What sizes would you like to see?

I can't wait to show you what she created for my SD-sized Yeru!
