Tonner Mainline release - American Model
By
Unknown
One new dressed doll and two new outfits have been added with Tonner's latest release, with arrival dates to be determined. Above, it's Victorian Romance, $349.99, LE250, a dressed doll with cameo skin tone, green inset eyes and lashes, and rooted medium brown hair. She's dressed in a Victorian period shantung dress with bustle, and includes a purse and hat.
The Glass Slipper is expected to arrive on 5/2/2014, is limited to 250 and retails for $249.99. This outfit includes a wig, clear acrylic shoes, rhinestone crown, beaded earrings, and a lovely white satin gown with an attached petticoat. Perfect for the Cinderella fan.
My favorite of the three, Twillight Dance, is an outfit only as well. It retails for $179.99 and is limited to 100. It includes a satin and tulle 1950s inspired gown with gloves and pearl jewelry. It's a larger version of a recent Tiny Kitty fashion called Pink Champagne, which I also love.

The kitty bomb.
By
Unknown
Do you know you else likes to kitty bomb my doll photos?
Bear.
This is Rogita, on Peak's Woods Absolute Beauty body, who happens to be just about the same dimensions as Tonner Doll's American Model. She's modeling Charming Lady, the fabulous new outfit by Tonner Doll.
It's actually a pale blue, not gray, and it's a separate skirt and jacket. Simply a gorgeous outfit.
Rogita is wearing her default glass eyes and a LeekeWorld wig in Khaki (really, it's a dark green!).
And yes, that's Bear's tail there. You can see more photos, without Bear crashing the frame, on Flickr.

Tonner Doll has posted photos of the Vintage American Model doll, 22", which is now available to pre-order from your favorite dealer. She retails for $249.99, but is often a little less when ordered from a dealer. Her edition size has been increased to 400, so don't wait.
This wigged, inset-eye beauty has applied lashes and includes this lovely outfit: a white bodysuit, pink brocade corset with blue ribbon trim, white dotted swiss pantaloons, white tights, and pink faux leather shoes. She is in the cameo skin tone.
No shipping date has been set for this doll yet.

Tonner American Model releases
By
Unknown
Two new basic American Models have been released, and two new gorgeous outfits. The outfits are killing me. All items have shipping dates to be announced.
American Model Glamour Basic Too is LE250 $224.99. She is in the cameo skin tone with blue inset eyes and a brown removable wig. She includes a pink lingerie set.
American Model Vintage Basic is LE 250 and $249.99. No promo photo is available yet, but she also has blue eyes and came skin tone. She has a light brown wig, white bodysuit with pink brocade corset, dotted swiss cropped pants with lace and ribbon trim, tights and pink shoes.
One dressed American Model has been added to the DC Comics line- 22" Poison Ivy - she's limited to 300 and retails for $349.99. She is in the Wicked skin tone with inset green eyes and flame hair, and has a pretty amazing outfit.
Moonlight Waltz reminds me of an Evangeline Ghastly outfit. I love it. It's limited to 150 and it retails for $224.99. It includes just the outfit--an off-white dress with lace overlay and ruffle trim, black sash and bow with rhinestones, black gloves and matching choker, feather hair decoration, and taffeta shoes. The wig is also included.
Charming Lady (I'm a sucker for these historical gowns) is a gorgeous blue jacket and skirt with white lace and black ribbon trim, with white petticoat and boots. It include a mink wig as well. This outfit is limited to 100 and retails for $224.99.
These outfits pretty much fit my Absolute Beauty Peak's Woods dolls perfectly. Hence--there goes the budget! ;)
You can get a great deal on preorders (plus lay-away) from Carol at Dreamcastle Dolls.

Merry Christmas to me!
By
Unknown
So... I maybe did a little shopping the other day--looking for some Little Miss Matched items for a BJD girl I have (I hear their clothing fit that skinny little Doll Chateau body), and I entered to win Tonner's twelve days of Christmas drawing.
Keeping in mind that I never win anything... I actually won! And not only did I win, I won big! I won an autographed proof of the gorgeous 22" Madame Bovary American Model. This is a doll I missed out on when she was first released. She has blue inset eyes, rooted brown hair, and a fabulous period outfit.
Plus, her outfit fits my Peak's Woods Absolute Beauty BJD girls perfectly. I am absolutely thrilled!
Today is the last day to enter, and no purchase is necessary.
Photo above belongs to Tonner Doll Company, and was taken by the talented Ernesto Padró-Campos.

Last update--several more fashion items from Tonner Doll
By
Unknown
Last, but not least, two more Fall/Holiday items from the Tonner Doll release.
Miss Briarwood is another stunning outfit (from the Gowns by Anne Harper collection, I believe), and it's available and in stock now. Retail is $149.99, limited to 150, I bet this outfit will sell out quickly. It includes a cream bodysuit with a blue bow, blue and red striped skirt with attached petticoat, matching jacket with white lace trim, blue belt with gold buckle, matching hat and shoes. The brown saran wig is also included in this outfit.
Mademoiselle is another fabulous outfit for the 22" American Model. It's limited to 150 and retails for $174.99. This outfit includes a velvet skirt and embroidered jacket with faux fur trim, white bodysuit with cream lace collar and cameo, white petticoat, matching hat, pearl earrings, and matching shoes. Shipping date is to be determined.
American Model clothing often is a close fit to SD13 sized dolls--only some is just a bit loose about the bust. This would be a great outfit for my BJDs! You can order these outfits now from your favorite Tonner dealer.

American Model - New Releases
By
Unknown
Tonner has also released several new 22" dolls and fashions today. All of these dolls are available for preorder.
Limited to 250, the new Glamour Basic doll is wigged, and she uses the Cameo skin tone, has blue inset eyes and applied lashes, and includes a strawberry saran wig with bangs. She includes lovely pink organza lingerie, hose and heels. She retails for $159.99.
No photo is available yet for the American Model Deluxe Goth Basic. She is limited to 250 and retails for $199.99. She uses the Lily skin tone and has blue inset eyes, and includes both a raven wig with bangs and a silver wig with bangs. Her outfit will include an off-white net and ribbed cotton corset with lace trim, matching bloomers, and over-the-knee stockings. She'll also include boots with side zip.
Three new outfits have also been released for the American Model line:
Magickal is limited to 150 and retails for $159.99. (Could that be the new Deluxe Goth Basic modeling?) The outfit includes a gorgeous cotton muslin gown, hand dyed, ombré style and a faux leather harness. Very steampunk!
Another steampunk fashion is Divine Feminine, a gorgeous blue cotton muslin gown, also hand-dyed. This outfit includes a matching crinoline, faux leather harness and leather bag. It's limited to 150 and retails for $159.99.
Rococo fans weren't disappointed this release with the 22" Court Gown outfit. (I need it for my collection!) The outfit is limited to 100 and retails for $249.99. (Yikes!) The gown is gorgeous--pink satin with embroidery, flowers, lace and bows, and and included petticoat. It includes a feathered hat, pale blonde wig, pearl drop earrings, and slip-on shoes. A necklace is shown, but I'm not sure it's included.
Shipping dates are to be confirmed for these items.
Can I just say how excited I am for Tonner Con?

More Tonner Spring 2012 releases...
By
Unknown
From the Gowns by Anne Harper collection (am I going to have to go there?), it's another to-die-for Rococo era outfit for my cotton candy historical fashion doll collection. This is Madame de l'Amour, retail $139.99, LE150, ship date to be decided. Check out those brocade shoes! The outfit includes the wig, and the model is a wigged Carol Barrie.
The Cami & Jon collection has added a dressed doll and two new outfits to the line, including above's Just Right dressed Cami. She has new facial screening, brown eyes and the cameo skin tone, a brown velvet suit with turquoise trim, and a fun chiffon printed blouse. $174.99, LE 500, arriving early February.
Radical Red is a new outfit, which will fit the Antoinette/Cami & Jon body, and it includes a red on red dot cardigan, not shown here in the photo. Retail $79.99, edition size 300, this outfit is shipping immediately.
The other C&J outfit is Soho Jaunt, an adorable casual look with lots of layering pieces. It includes a jean jacket, pink cardigan, cream camisole, cargo pants, boots, and pink check hat. This outfit is also limited to 300, retails for $99.99 and is arriving the middle of March.
The Freedom for Fashion™ collection has added two more dolls, including Neo Tokyo, a dressed bald Yoshio doll. He's wearing a faux leather coat, molded shoes, black twill pants, white tee and a scarf. He'll arrive mid February, retails for $199.99 and is limited to 500.
Akemi is a dressed Aiko doll with mink saran rooted hair on a cameo Antoinette body. She's limited to 350 dolls with a shipping date to be announced. I love her softer look and warm color tones. Her retail is $179.99.
A new Goth Antoinette basic doll is arriving right away, retail $89.99, and is limited to 400. She uses the lily skin tone, has blue grey eyes, bright red lips and rooted raven hair.
Starshine is a new outfit for Antoinette, retailing for $89.99, LE200. It includes a jersey wrap jacket with faux fur trim, skirt, belt, gloves, necklace and sandals. (Any guesses which Antoinette that is? She's lovely with the blue eye shadow.) This will arrive mid March.
Belladonna is a new 22" American Model outfit, which includes a sleeved corset, satin skirt, embroidered head piece, ribbon necklace, lace gauntlets, and fishnets. I just noticed shoes aren't included. Ship date is to be decided. Retail is $189.99, limited to 200. Additionally, three new styles of boots have been added to the American Model line up: Prim, Proper and Specs. All are open editions and are arriving mid March. They retail for $34.99 per pair.
Penelope Cruz as Angelica also makes an appearance as a new head sculpt, brown painted eyes and mink hair. She's limited to 500 and retails for $199.99. She is scheduled to arrive in all her glory in mid February.
A new Dorothy Gale makes her debut to the Wizard of Oz line, and will ship mid February. She's limited to 500 and uses a brand new head sculpt on what Tonner calls the 16" teen body (she's wearing heels). Her hair is rooted, and all she's missing is Toto. Retail $149.99.
For Gone with the Wind fans, two new 16" dressed Scarlett dolls have been released. Both use the Vivian Leigh portrait sculpt (I'm not sure if this is different than the Scarlett sculpt). Also, both dolls' shipping dates are to be announced. Above, Scarlett's Wedding Day is limited to 325 and retails for $325.
Heartbroken is limited to just 300, and is a dressed doll retailing for $249.99. I'm really digging her up-do (similar to Royal #82) and slightly upturned side-glancing eyes. (I loved the GWTW movie, but I really haven't gotten into any themed dolls--this one, however--wow!)
Rogue (Marvel) is still to be decided on shipping and promotional photos. She'll be limited to 300 and retail for $159.99. But we do know she uses the Emily head sculpt with dark green eyes with rooted brown hair with platinum streaks.
More to come with Tonner's Nu Mood release!

Platinum Luxury
By
Unknown
Another recent addition to my collection, and one of my most exciting arrivals to date, I'm pleased to introduce Platinum Luxury American Model to you. She looks like she waked off the set of Boardwalk Empire.
She arrived in a super sized Tonner Box, and I was so excited to open her up. I haven't allowed myself to purchase an American Model since La Belle Grande, just because of storage and display space. (They compete with my BJD collection.)
My jaw dropped when I saw her beautiful face. Her brown inset eyes and eyelashes are just perfect. I adore her sweet wigged hair. Her red lips seem to almost be smiling.
And her gown--two layers--a simple shimmering gold tank, worn under a long-sleeved chiffon number trimmed with beaded lace. Her sleeves are trimmed with super long loops of marabou.
To finish her look, a simple pair of mary jane pumps, and the most gorgeous layered and beaded necklace you can imagine.
Her articulated hands look different than Tyler's or Antoinette's. They have another delicate pose.
I adore this doll! Plus, it turns out that she can share DollHeart clothes (at least one older outfit I have, Lofty Grey), and my Peak's Woods Skiya can share clothes with her! More photos to come.
And you can see more photos on Flickr.

Another fashion inspiration by Tonner Doll
By
Unknown
Ever wonder why you adore some dolls, and why they might end up in your collection? Check out these two:
From the 2006 American Model collection, this lovely dressed doll is Confection. She is dressed in a gorgeous shantung ball gown with a corsage at the waist. The bodice is shirred and sculpted. She includes a gorgeous necklace, earrings and bracelet.
If you like this doll, consider this one, too!
My favorite of all the Cinderella dolls, the Cinderella Rose gift set. She was an FAO exclusive, and she includes the convertible feet auburn-haired Cinderella doll, glass slippers and this gorgeous gown--with a similar silhouette to the American Model's gown. Wouldn't they be great in your collection, displayed together?
(Seriously, Dreamcastle's Tonner reference is simply dangerous. Don't just go browsing through there for no reason. Your wallet will start crying. Loudly. All these dolls that were on my list are coming up again!)

Large and Largess?
By
Unknown
I love playing with scale in my doll collection, and I'm always struck when similar dolls and styles come out with from prior collections from doll manufacturers.
Two fabulous examples were released in Tonner's latest release.
Above, the gorgeous 1920s styled Platinum Luxury American Model. She is the large(ss) version.
Below, the amazing grail, Classic Elegance Sydney. People, I will trade my brand new, mint condition Blue Alice for this Syndey. Why, you may ask? I have, what the laywomen refer to, a keeper.
I was having a difficult day yesterday. Jokingly (and in a rather bitchy manner, if I admit it), I forwarded a photo of the new American Model to my husband via email, when he asked what he could do to make my day better. "Buy me this doll." And to my utter surprise, he did! (From Dreamcastle!) With the caveat that I not complain about various Christmas parties or do anything embarrassing there. (People who know me, please--no comments about work parties.) I am delighted!
Now, I'd like to add the smaller version to my collection as well. (I'd hate to press my luck by having another bad day--so a trade perhaps?) Wouldn't they look wonderful together?
The other set can be seen below:
From the Gowns by Anne Harper collection, Anna Karenina is close to selling out. It's still available from Toni's Collectibles. The outfit is designed for wigged 16" dolls such as Tyler Wentworth.
For a larger scale, there is the beautiful Anna Karenina American Model, still available for purchase. The two displayed together would be simply stunning in your collection!

Madame Bovary American Model, $399.99 LE100 |
Tonner Doll's last release of 2011 has been announced, and there are quite a few gorgeous new dolls. Visit your favorite Tonner dealer today to place your order.
I'll go through the list alphabetically.
Above, two new dressed dolls have been added to the American Model collection, Madame Bovary ($399.99) and Platinum Luxury ($349.99). Madame Bovary's shipping date has yet to be announced, but Platinum Luxury (who reminds me of Sydney Candescence) is shipping now. Both are limited to 100 pieces, and have inset acrylic eyes. Madame is rooted, Luxury is wigged. Wow!
The latest addition to Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland collection is Mallymkun the Doormouse, a dressed Tonner Character Figure, made from resin. He's limited to 250 pieces, and retails for $69.99. Ship date is to be announced.
Two wonderful new dressed Antoinette dolls have been released. First, dressed in yellow (she says hello) is Allure. She's limited to 300 and retails for $169.99. She has light brown rooted hair, Tyler's skin tone, green painted eyes, and a gorgeous gold dress, which appears to me to be inspired by the 1920s. She includes a black feathered hair piece, gold and black jewelry, black shoes, gloves, and black hose.
Second, is Simplicity. This gorgeous red-haired, grey-eyed Antoinette is dressed in a lovely navy outfit, including pants, jacket and halter top, and includes boots and a silver necklace. She's limited to 300 and retails for $179.99. Both dolls shipping dates are to be announced.
Several new exciting items have been added to the Cami & Jon collection. Two new wigged Basic dolls (Cami and Jon) will ship on December 21. They both have inset acrylic eyes (Cami's are green, and Jon's are brown), and both include two wigs (Cami: blonde and black, Jon: brown and red). Both dolls are limited to 500 and retail for $109.99.
Next, three new outfits for Andy Mills (and Matt and Russell) have been announced. Central Park, Washington Square, and Chelsea Look retail for $89.99 and are limited to 300 each. Chelsea look will ship December 21, and the others will be determined.
The most exciting additions to the line are two new Theatre de la Mode dressed dolls. Both dolls use the TDLM sculpt on the Antoinette body. Midnight #83 has blonde rooted hair in a braided up-do with blue eyes in a cameo skin tone. She is wearing a black velvet and chiffon dress with crystal buttons, black feathered headband, crystal earrings and black shoes. She retails for $199.99 and will ship December 21.
Available for shipping now, this lovely 16" Scarlett O'Hara doll, Christmas 1863, retails for $249.99 and is a limited edition of 300. She includes a green printed gown with embroidered collar and cuffs, antique cameo brooch, petticoat, gold earrings, green shoes and a green and red hair decoration.
Lots of excitement from the Gowns by Anne Harper collection. Two new outfits are available for preorder. Anna Karenina (sized for 16" dolls) includes the wig shown, black dress with silk flower trim, rhinestone jewelry, black shoes and white gloves. It's limited to 150 pieces for $149.99. It's gorgeous!
Additionally, there is another outfit, Matinee Luncheon, a pink suit with black "fur" cuffs, including a pearl necklace and black feathered hat and black shoes, which has photos yet to come. This outfit is limited to 300 and retails for $99.99. Both outfits have delivery dates to be decided.
Tow gorgeous new basic wigged dolls are also available. Ready to Dress Carol Barrie retails at $119.99. She's limited to 500, and includes a black swimsuit with a white collar. She's in the cameo skin tone with painted blue eyes, and includes red and platinum wigs.
Ready to Dress Diane Evans is also limited to 500 dolls, and includes the same swimsuit as Carol. She has brown painted eyes and uses the Friday Foster head sculpt. She has the spice skin tone. She includes brown and black wigs. She also retails for $119.99. Both dolls have delivery dates to be announced.
Delightfully, three new outfits are available for the 13" Revlon dolls. Silver Shimmer retails for $79.99 includes a black and silver dress, sparkling tights, beaded earrings and matching shoes.
Midas Touch retails for $84.99. It's a gold sequined dress with gold shoes and rhinestone bracelet. Photos are still coming.
Velvet Dazzle retails for $79.99. This outfit includes a velvet strapless dress, matching black gloves and sash with a rhinestone buckle, red lamé coat, rhinestone necklace, and black pumps. All three of these outfits are limited to 500 each, and have shipping dates to be decided.
Evening in Paris Vintage Revlon has also been announced with a shipping date to be decided. She is limited to 500 with a retail price of $139.99. She includes a solo-in-the-spotlight style black sparkling gown with white stole, black gloves, tights, crystal jewelry, and black molded shoes.
Dazzling Tyler Wentworth is a gorgeous dressed doll with wigged platinum hair, green painted eyes, and a purple sequined metallic dress. She also includes matching fingerless gloves, a crystal necklace, and silver shoes. I love her facial screening! She's limited to 300, retails for $224.99 and her shipping date is to be decided.
