A Happy Mother's Day and Busy Week

We had a very busy and exciting 2 weeks.  Mother's Day was awesome.  Talking to Shane was amazing.  He is so cute and such an awesome missionary.  His English was funny and his Portuguese incredibly fast.  He is great and doing lots of things.  he bore his testimony in Portuguese and the spirit was incredible.  A much as I miss him, I love having a missionary!  I also received a letter from Daniel.  Someone had helped him write it and he said, "Mommy and Daddy, I love you and I want to come home.  I play with my little brother Jaleta every day and I love him.  Come get me.  Happy Mother's Day."  It was sent with a picture he colored and a picture of him.  I also added him and Jet to my necklace.  We bought out plane tickets and they changed our date to the 31.  I am so glad we are not leaving til the 5th.  That should still give them enough time to get our papers ready.  We leave Thursday!  Also we had a lot of fun.  Busy but fun.  My next blog will be from Ethiopia!

McTeacher night for our school.  We do it every year.

 I was the cookie seller

Tony and Josh with a boy they taught.
This mom was baptized 4 weeks ago.

Tony baptized him.  Practicing to be in white for his mission.

Mother's Day and yes this is breakfast in bed, a bed that is made, and yes my hair is in hotsticks.  9 am church for crying out loud!

My new boys.  A new month - September and another October

Tony made this fountain.  He was in the library one day 4 months ago board, and came across a book called table top fountains.  When thinking of a Mother's Day gift, this came back to him and he figured it out.  It is really cool and sound like a little brook.
Notice I am progressing to being ready - the hotsticks are out.  My picture from Daniel.
I did eventually come my hair out and pulled it back with a nice flower!

Practicing the soccer skills for Daniel.

 Baby Bunnies

Josh was invited to join the National Jr Honor Society with a 4.0

Well, see you next time from Ethiopia!  We can't wait to kiss these little faces!

1 step closer to Ethiopia and a bunch of life!

We just heard this week that jet cleared Embassy! We now should hear from Addis Ababa on travel dates. We are so excited! It's like the Doc has said your due date is this and you won't go more than 2 weeks over. The end, or beginning rather, is in sight. In the mean time, Becca had a birthday, Ali played some wicked tennis, Cam had a job shadow, kids had concerts, there was a pack mtng in there somewhere, and mom and dad just tried to keep up. :) Cam did a job shadow at Shauna's dental office with Dr Leal.
Shane, we said good-bye to Elder Simon - well, he's still in the stake. :)
Ryan and Koli had concerts
Koli received his Conservation Patch
Alison and her double partner played in the JV Tournament all day Friday. There were 5 schools there with several teams per school. They won 1st place over all. They did a really great job.
Becca-NaeNae is 12! WOW
Skinny pancakes for breakfast
Presents for Becca
Peanut Butter bars and ice cream
All in all, a great week. We love you Shane and can't wait to talk to you next week!
