i thought i did this before

Seems that my grey cells are more scattered than usual. I thought I posted the lovely squares that Stephanie M sent me for the Christmas exchange last month. Oops. Without further delay, here they are. Stephanie chose the best design from the 2008 JCS ornament issue, by Midsummer Night Designs. Thanks, Stephanie!

Thank you Barbara!

Barbara - thanks a million for these lovely squares which arrived today, I love them! I'm definitely going to finish these into an ornament for our tree (except we're not having a tree this year because we'll be away, but for future years, it will hang on a tree! This year, it probably may get a doorknob, or a lampshade - gotta still have my decorations up!).

Barbara stitched a Threads Through Time design from the JSC 2004 issue called 'Tiny German Sampler':

(sorry for the photo size - I click small, they go gigantesque - only Blogger knows why!)

Thanks so much Barbara, they're beautiful :)

it's what I would've stitched for myself!

Stephanie hit on my taste perfectly with her choice of design!! The colors are much livelier IRL, but it's overcast and I'm too impatient to wait for a sunnier day before sharing a picture! :)

Stephanie, thank you so much! Mine to you should be going out in today's mail.

Stephanie M to Barbara CL - Christmas Round

Barbara - your squares are on the way! They tell me it won't take too long to travel the short distance across the North Sea, so you should hopefully have them soon!

Hugs
Stephanie

Independence Day exchange from Wendy Jo

Look at what Wendy Jo sent me!! I'm so happy with everything - she stitched Little Red Schoolhouse from La-D-Da and included lots of beautiful overdyed flosses for me to enjoy. :D I hope she's as happy with what I sent her ...

on their way!

My squares started their trip to their new home today and hopefully the international mails will cooperate and they'll arrive quickly.

I enjoyed taking part in this very fun exhange, but due to health issues I'm going to sit out the next round. Enjoy, everyone!!

Barbara

LIKES: Primitive-type designs, such as those by Carriage House Samplings, Prairie Schooler, The Workbasket, La-D-Da, and Brightneedle. I love birds and trees, earthy colors, and samplers (among other things).

DISLIKES: Folksy (cutesy/cartoonish) as in Jeremiah Junction and Diane Graebner, religious themes, pastels.

USE for the received squares: It depends on how many rounds I participate in. If there are only a few, I'll finish them individually as smalls and disply on my Wall of Smalls. If there are more, I'll either make a mini-quilt to hang or a "book" to display. :)
