Wordpress Themes - WP Forum at BFA
There will be no more development for Atahualpa (or any other theme), and no support. Also no new registrations. I turned off the donation system. I may turn the forum to read only if it gets abused for spam. Unfortunately I have no time for the forum or the themes. Thanks a lot to the people who helped in all these years, especially Larry and of course: Paul. Take care and stay healthy -- Flynn, Atahualpa developer, Sep 2021

Hi,

The background image has gone missing today from the header and side bar areas of my website, leaving them blank. I checked ATO > Style POSTS & PAGES but all the boxes show the image (background: url(/wp-content/themes/atahualpa/images/darkorange.jpg);

Would you please check the site for me, and tell me what I can do?

Many thanks!
Rutger

Hi JD,

It's the white bands above and on both sides that shouldn't be there. It should be all orange.
Can you take another look, please?

Thanks!

Following up, JD, I just noticed the strangest thing: the latest post on my blog is fine (all orange, no white bands); all pages are fine as well, but all the other posts and the landing page are off (have white bands). I am dumbfounded as to what the cause of this might be but I put my trust in you.
Thanks!

You must have a plugin that is causing the problem. On the home page I see:
HTML Code:
#fusion-gmap-container, #main, #sliders-container, #wrapper, .fusion-separator .icon-wrapper, body, html {
  background-color: #ffffff;
}
which is causing the problem.

Hi JuggleDad,

I disabled all plugins but the white bands still remain.
I recently moved my site to another host and have had some issues along the way. I assume this glitch has to do with all the tinkering that has been going on over the past few days. However, in the debug.log I found the following message:

Quote:
[14-Jun-2019 13:22:25 UTC] PHP Notice: register_sidebar was called <strong>incorrectly</strong>. No <code>id</code> was set in the arguments array for the "Left Sidebar" sidebar. Defaulting to "sidebar-1". Manually set the <code>id</code> to "sidebar-1" to silence this notice and keep existing sidebar content. Please see <a href="https://codex.wordpress.org/Debugging_in_WordPress">Debugging in WordPress</a> for more information. (This message was added in version 4.2.0.) in /home/cornetsd/domains/cornetsdegroot.com/public_html/wp-includes/functions.php on line 4773
This message is followed by many like it. I am attaching the first few lines of the debug.log, it's pretty huge, and goes on and on about sidebars. There are also some references to Atahualpa though. Do you see anything in this section that helps?

Thanks,
Rutger

This is Atahualpa showing it's age. Wordpress is changing and Atahualpa isn't. Unfortunately there are fewer and fewer people using Atahualpa and donations have dried up (when was the last time you donated?) and there is no incentive to keep the theme up to date.

If you set wp_debug to 'false' in your wp_config.php file, those messages should go away.

as for the issue you have, did you clear your browser cache after disabling all your plugins? A google seaarch seems to indicate that the code may come from a contact form/google map

Hi JD,

I don't understand the half of it but disabling the Contact Form and Google Maps plugin and clearing the browser's cache worked like a charm. My site is back!

Yes, it is unfortunate that Atahualpa is dying. If it weren't for lack of time, I would have transferred to another theme already because of this. It is very nice of you to stick around and help people like me. I liked the theme a lot and I appreciated your support over the years. I will make sure to make a donation next week when my money comes in; I won't forget.

Thanks, JD!
Best, Rutger
