Wordpress Themes - WP Forum at BFA
There will be no more development for Atahualpa (or any other theme), and no support. Also no new registrations. I turned off the donation system. I may turn the forum to read only if it gets abused for spam. Unfortunately I have no time for the forum or the themes. Thanks a lot to the people who helped in all these years, especially Larry and of course: Paul. Take care and stay healthy -- Flynn, Atahualpa developer, Sep 2021

I want to remove the email field that comes with the email icon for the feed.
I found part of my answer in this post... http://forum.bytesforall.com/showthread.php?t=6014
which removes the icon, but left the email field. What code do I add to CSS to remove it from my right side bar.

it is on this site.. www.ovccwv.org/blog not the one listed in my signature below.

Thanks!

I use Firefox with Firebug. Firebug lets you fiddle with CSS on any site. It really helps.

So basically you are just looking at another site where it works and reviewing the source to find the code needed? I will look into Firebug...

Firebug actually let's you try out CSS on any site. I opened up your site, used Firebug to see what the CSS selectors were and then put in some CSS to see what it did. It's a lot harder to explain than show so here is a screencast I just did on your site to show how you could hide your search field and magnifying glass.

I know this is off topic from this forum so you dont have to continue to help me....but I am using Windows XP with IE7...I also have Firefox installed and use it from time to time to test my sites. The version of FF I have is 3.0.18 (just updated so it should be the current version). I tried to download and install the Firebug, but it says it cant install Firebug 1.5.3 because it is not compatiable with Firefox 3.0.18. I noticed on the Firebug site that Firebug 1.5.2 is compatieable with FF 3.5-3.6. When I update FF I only get to version 3.0.18. Any idea?

Sorry I jsut checked Firefox site and am downloading 3.6 now...I guess the check for updates does not get all the updates. If I have a problem I will ask you, but I think it will work after this install.

Glad you got your update... Let me know if you have any Firebug Questions. You can always PM me if they aren't really forum related.
