[SOLVED] problem installing Italian translation of theme

Hi,

I have a site which uses Atahualpa 3.5.3. I need to have the front end in Italian, so I was trying to "install" the Italian translation files on my web server through FTP.

I uploaded it_IT.mo and it_IT.po into my theme folder, i.e. wp-content/themes/atahualpa353/

However there is no change on the site when I do that.

Is there something else I need to do to have the translation working?
