I learned from last week that the NHL Playoffs have thrown a wrench in my meal planning. You see, we usually head over to my parents' to catch each Red Wings game and so there's no point in planning a meal for game days. Instead, we'll just play it by ear. And my book club has a murder mystery event planned for Thursday, so that dinner will be up in the air too. As such, this week's menu is a little sparse:
Monday - Chicken Bruschetta Skillet (skipped this last week)
Tuesday - PLAYOFFS
Wednesday - Ham & Eggs
Thursday - MURDER MYSTERY NIGHT
Friday - PLAYOFFS
Saturday - Cheeseburgers with Corn & Tomato Salad
And there's one more topic that's still yet to be decided. Our March Madness competition. The final round of voting just got posted this morning and will close tomorrow evening. Head on over to make your pick!

Round Two
Things have been quiet around here, mainly because I've spent my computer time focused on Round 2 of March Madness. Go check it out!! Each post takes a loooong time to complete, but I still look forward to the ones I still have to do as each gets exponentially smaller as more people are eliminated. :) This round is open through tomorrow night, so head on over now to cast your vote!
P.S. I promise to have some legitmate posts next week, so stay tuned.

This Week's Menu {Apr 4} + Hot, Hot, Hot, Hot
We finally got around to trying the Mini Meatball Sandwiches I mentioned last week, and I'm happy to say that everyone loved them! Well, except Charlotte, whose distate for all things beef-related may get her ostracized from this family. Regardless, they'll be added to the regular rotation. Hopefully this week's new recipe (Pork & Pineapple Stir Fry) will go over just as well.
Monday - Unstuffed Cabbage
Tuesday - Quick Chicken Soup
Wednesday - Pork & Pineapple Stir Fry
Thursday - Leftovers
Friday - Ham & Cheese Sandwiches
Saturday - Beef Stew & French Bread

That's a lot of hotness up there, isn't it? In case you haven't been following along, our March Madness tournament is coming to an end. So head on over to get your votes in for your favorites!

March Madness (not basketball-related)
Basketball fans' lives are consumed during these next few weeks by March Madness. I'm short, white and female, so with three strikes against me I'm not big into the tournament. But, I do enjoy a good bracket. Inspired by Heather and Jessica over at Go Fug Yourself, and their Fug Madness competition (it's voting for the worst-dressed celebrity of the year, in case you're not familiar) our group created our own March Madness last year, with celebrity eye candy. And we've done the same this year, expanding from just a men's bracket to include the ladies as well.
We each make our predictions for the whole tournament and then vote for our personal favorites each round. And even though we consider this little contest to be nothing but fluff, Hollywood is taking note, because last year's winner was just promoted to Superman status. Clearly, this is serious business! And I've set up a March Madness blog so that you can take part.

Head on over there to see who is matched for the first round and make your picks. Just note that the polls are a little finicky, so you may want to refresh the page to make sure your votes were counted in each matchup. And make sure to hit 'Older Posts' so that you get to vote in each bracket. Happy voting and good luck with some of the harder matchups (seriously... Hugh Jackman v George Clooney just isn't fair)!
Disclaimer: We realize this is silly and perhaps even childish, but we find it entertaining all the same. If you don't, feel free to just move right past it onto the next item of your day.
