Monthly Challenge

Our challenge theme this month was CONTAINED and we have three adorable little boxes to share as a result.

I've had this idea for a while now. Making ring boxes for presenting a wonderful handmade engagement ring or to hold other special pieces of jewelry. Forged copper box featuring a beautiful Picasso Jasper. Contained in this unique box is a 14K white gold engagement ring featuring a 5mm brilliant white moissanite. The ring has an engraved branch that changes as it circles the ring to represent the four seasons.

It's been a very long time since I worked a jewelry box. And accordingly, a few difficulties have stood in the way. But now it's done.
The next box also gets a hinge. Yes, there will certainly be one more. The finished piece gives me a lot of pleasure.

A cold connected hinged box made from license plates and sterling.
