Friday Confessional

Photobucket

It is Friday again and time to link up with Mamarazzi with all things worth confessing. Or not!

I confess... that I will be watching the Royal Wedding!

I confess.... that my DVR has been set and ready to record since Thursday morning.

I confess... that I do not care who does not want to see it, I do and I will be watching and hearing people be negative about it really pisses me off.  This is something positive and happy and enlightening in a world of devastation, war, death and disease. Embrace it, why don't you?

I confess... that I watched Princess Diana's wedding to the jerk Prince Charles many years ago.

I confess... that yes, it was 30 years ago and I watched it! I was 11 years old.  What little girl does not dream of someday marrying a prince? I know I did.

I confess... that I am a little upset that it's not my daughter he is marrying.

I confess... I still have little girl dreams and fantasies!  How about you?

Happy Friday!

We Want To Know Wednesday Q&A

Photobucket

Mamarazzi, Shawn, Impulsive Addict, and Janette are the hosts of We Want To Know Wednesday. Go on over and visit them, say hello, and link up!

This week's questions come to you courtesy of Shawn, so here goes:

{1} What is the first thing you notice about the opposite sex? Are you an eyes or a smile person? Maybe another body part?

I think it would have to be their face if they are up close and their whole body in general if it is from a distance.
{2} If a movie was being made about you who would you like to see cast to play you? And would your movie be a comedy, drama, romantic-comedy, action film or a horror movie?

I've been told quite a few times over the past 20 years or so that I look like Gina Davis:

But I think I'd choose Sandra Bullock...we look more alike, dontcha think?  I wish!!!  HA!

My movie would most probably be a cross between a drama and a horror. Yet some people may find it amusing, making it a comedy. I'm not sure!

{3} Does your high school yearbook include a senior comment section? If so share what you said about your future goals. Have you met those goals? If you do not have a yearbook just share what your goals where when you were 18 and if you have met them. If you’re brave enough include your Senior Picture!

No, my yearbook does not have a section like that, however I can say that my goals were to get married and have children. I did both. Obviously only one of those two worked out in my favor as far as longevity goes.
If I remember correctly, I also said I would like to work in an office and that is exactly what I do today!

Yes this is me, circa 1988. OMG! That hair! Be jealous!
It was the days before straight irons. I could kiss whoever invented them!

{4} What latest trend simply baffles you?

FYI: The purpose of the whole belt thing is to keep those drawers UP!

{5} When you walk into a room how do you present yourself? Do you walk in with confidence and command the attention of others or do you slink in and do your best to go unnoticed?

This could go both ways for me. I walk in with confidence and I'm a very outgoing person if I know everyone there. If I do not know anyone or the majority of them are strangers, I will sneak in like a coward and hide. That's just me!

What about you? We want to know, so link up!

We Want To Know Wednesday

Photobucket

I am linking up today with Mamarazzi and her crew for some good 'ole Q & A.
So let's get down to it. These are the questions:

The theme of the Q&A this week is Friendship:

{1} Do you make friends easily?

Why yes, I do! I have a very outgoing personality. Years ago that was not the case, but after many years of working with the public and learning to be more open, it has become more easy for me to make friends and do the bonding thing with other women.

{2} What 3 qualities are a must in a friend?

First and foremost...Trust! If I can not have that, then you are OUT!
Secondly, a sense of humor. I love to cut up and make jokes, if you can not take one, then it's a no go.
Third... I guess I would have to say is to have things in common. There have been women I've met that I just do not 'click' with and again, that's a must.

{3} What makes you a good friend?

I am always there with a shoulder to cry on and I will tell you the God's honest truth about anything.  When in need, I am here!

{4} Have you ever met a bloggy friend in real life?

Yes? tell us about your meet up. No? who would you love to meet?

No, I have not, but hopefully one day that will change.
I would love to meet any and ALL of my blog friends, but if I could only choose one for now, it would be Lynn. She has been a longtime online friend. We share a passion for photography and a love for our favorite Rock god!

{5} Who is your best friend? Tell us about them.

My best friend is Heather:

She has been there for me through EVERYthing in my life. If it were not for her, I don't know where I would be today. When I went through my divorce, she was there. We talked for hours at a time on the phone and hung out and cried and talked and on and on. Same here, she went through a divorce before I did, so I was there for her. We always are only a text away and it's great to know that I have someone THERE who gets me and can relate to me.

And then there is my sister, Julie:

We are closer than most sisters, and although she does not always GET me, she is there and she is the only sister I have!  We are three years apart and I am the oldest, so naturally when we were growing up there was a lot of fighting going on, but nowadays, it's all good.

This was fun, so click on the button above and link up and play along!

Friday Confessional

Photobucket

Today is the day we confess it all, so that means it is Friday and that makes me very happy!  Let's get on with it.......

I confess...that last weekend I did some more 'purging' and cleaned lots of stuff out of my closet. Where the heck did all of this stuff come from and how did the people of hoarders put it in there? Gosh!

I confess... that I found lots of cards/pictures/letters from my ex husband and a few of them brought a couple of tears. Memories! Ah!

I confess... that I kept most of those things. I can not throw them away. One day I want my children to see them and know that at one time their Dad DID love me!

I confess... that this really tall good looking attorney came in to our office yesterday  and I drooled. And stared. And imagined....nevermind!  He is only 27! That means when I was 14, he was just coming out of the womb. Dammit!

I confess... that it has been a really long week and for the 3rd week in a row I have had a rough one and I am ready for the weekend.

Enjoy, everyone!

Vlog-Time

Photobucket

I can not believe that I am doing this, but this month I am participating in the Monthly Vlog, hosted by Mamarazzi and Shawn!

First of all, let's get something out of the way. Remember how your momma always said, "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all?"  Well, that pertains to this here blog post. I mean it!

Forgive me for how horrible this video is. I did not have a light on and all I had was outside light coming in and it kept going lighter and darker. I look like both of my eyes are black and my shirt is obviously too low. However, I was not shooting this again.

This month's assignment was an Accent/Dialect vlog and then had to answer some questions. Enjoy....remember, no laughing!

Please play along and link up! I did it, you can too. Now everyone knows I am not a knock-out so the gig is up, but whatever! Tell them I sent you and all will be right with the world! Amen.

Friday Confessional

You can not imagine how happy I am that today is Friday. Time for some confessing........

Photobucket

I confess... that I have been one very grouchy biotch this week. I will be the first to admit, it must have been very hard for my children to live with me. No, it is not that monthly thing either. Just very moody.

I confess... that I have been eating way too much junk lately. Hamburgers, chocolate, snacks, chips, chocolate, fast food...did I mention chocolate? I should be one huge fat zit right about now.

I confess... many times over the past week I have thought about doing a blog post about what is really on my mind, but then I didn't. That may still happen in the coming days, but for now I've decided to keep my thoughts to myself.

I confess... that even though I love my blog layout/design, I am ready for something new and different. Refreshing...I don't really know what I want. I hate to spend the money right now though.

I confess... that I have so much to do this weekend, I am feeling quite over-whelmed. I just want to jump in and get it done so I can relax!

I confess... that Saturday night I will relax and cut loose. A friend of mine is having a get together and I am bringing the wine. It's time!

Have a great one!

Friday Confessional

Photobucket

IT is Friday again and I could not be happier. So that means it is time to sit down with you all and make some confessions. I have quite a few this week, so let's get started:

I confess...that I have been quite the lazy blogger this week. Between work and the girls and home stuff and not to mention, 'that time of the month'...I just did not feel up to doing much online, so I sat on the couch and vegged out.

I confess... that I believe I am in too deep right now. Like too many irons in the fire, deep.  How could I try to do so many things at once and think that I was ever going to keep up? Must have been a good week that week!

I confess... that I scored tickets (free ones, at that!) to see Whitesnake in May! Can I get a 'hell yeah!' ??  Oh yeah!  I love me some 80's hair bands and they ranked right up there with Ratt and Poison back in the day.  So anyhow I got them for free because I have connections, baby!  I will not be rocking any big hair that night though. That's a negative!

I confess... that I heard an old song today on the drive home from work and it brought be back to the days when I was young and hung out at the bars...yes, I did! And I danced with guys and let them buy me alcohol and noooo, I was not a slut. I was just a good flirt. And I had long legs and a flat stomach, so there.

I confess... that I really am NOT enjoying American Idol much this year. I miss Simon and I just can not get over the fact that he is really gone and it makes me sad. Not to mention, most of these people suck ( in my own honest opinion) and there is nobody there to tell them that they suck!

I confess... that I DO like James Durbin, though.  He is the only one who is getting me all hot and bothered my votes. When he goes, I go! He has been compared to Adam Lambert....who I adore and who Really Really gets me hot and bothered.  Yes, he does. Do not hate on him here, or I will have to kick you off my blog. Hmmph!

I confess... that today I am mailing my swap partner, Alison, her package and I want to keep it!  Shhhh! I know, that is so wrong of me, but dang, it's some of MY favorite things, and it's sooo hard to let go!  I really hope she loves what I am sending her... I sure do!

Ok, that's about it folks!

Happy Friday
