Mt. Vernon

Back on President's Day Eric and I went to Mt. Vernon. There was no admission since it was the day  George Washington's birthday is celebrated. The weather was right at thirty five so warm enough to not freeze but then when we walked up and down hills and stairs we didn't get crazy hot. I am glad we took the time to go see a part of history. If you ask Eric what the highlight of the day was he would tell you "hickory bark syrup". One of the displays was about how to make syrup from shag bark hickory. Eric is now obsessed with the idea.
