Chappell Roan shares new track ‘HOT TO GO!’

She recently announced details of her debut album, ‘The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess’.

Fresh from announcing her debut album last week, pop provocateur Chappell Roan has shared a brand new track ‘HOT TO GO!’.

The track gets taken from ‘The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess’, which is due for release on 22nd September via Amusement / Island Records. Speaking of the track, Chappell has said: “I wrote this song so I could live out my cheerleader fantasy!” Chappell says about the song. “I just wanted to make something simple and silly that I could do with the audience because I’m a huge fan of audience participation. Also, selfishly (and shamelessly) wanted to bounce around on stage singing a song about being hot.”

Of the album, she says: “After four years in the making comes my 14-song album holding stories of unearthing my true self and fearlessly embracing queerness. With the contrast of my Midwestern upbringing and living in one of the biggest cities in the US, ‘The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess’ mirrors the rollercoaster of being the popstar I always wanted to be.”

To mark the record’s release, Chappell will head out to take the Midwest Princess Tour across North America, bringing her shows of drag queens and fancy dress themes to audiences this autumn.
