A brilliant flood...

This is unspoiled; a brilliant flood of light – a moment of crisp clarity and inspiration just before the finite restrictions of reality are considered.
This piece of perfection was spotted at an old favorite, {Lotta Agaton}, inspirational every single time.

Unbearable lust...

This room is beyond delicious, nearly unbearable. The ceilings are so lofty, I could nestle all my dreams in this space, right between the intricate molding and vintage theatrical seats. Sigh.

Exoskeletons and pocket watches...

As you may remember, I have a lust for beetles. Six graceful legs and a single glossy exoskeleton. Combine my insect imagery with contrast, vintage wares, typography, a pocket watch dangling gracefully, and the amalgam is bliss. Black-and-white-beetled bliss.
The Chalcosoma atlas print from Hagedornhagen is worth coveting. The glimpse of gorgeousness on the right hails from Annaleena's Hem {spotted on Lotta Agaton, the loveliest place of online real estate}.

Solid precipitation...

Yesterday brought the first sprinkling of solid precipitation, covering the ground like a knit blanket and making me lust after this fireplace.  Then liquid precipitation washed it all away {except for my mantle craving, of course}.
{This gorgeous dichotomy of simultaneously warm and cold was found at Tomorrow's Parties.}

November polish...

It's time.  Peppermint Mocha.  Sip.  Sigh.  Sip.  Again and again.  Mmmm... November's niceties sure add a bit of polish to my day.

Chromatic theology...

Plunge into a pool of untainted color culmination {white} as the Chromatic Theology series continues.
Each post in this series explores an individual hue, but the characteristics of the topic color can be translated into tints and shades. Keep in mind that the effects and emotions we discuss are most prominent and intense in pure, saturated color {pure, unsaturated color in this case}. To some extent, the distinctive attributes of white will be present in color variations - eggshell, gardenia, snow, cream, moonlight, ivory, etc.
WHITE often reveals clarity, innocence, and pure simplicity. White is the perfect palette to make architectural elements sing. Nearly all colors tend to distract from and compete with architecture and furnishings, but white elevates and emphasizes style and aesthetic details. White embodies the power to transcend climate, radiating warmth and coziness in the winter and offering fresh, cool relief in the summer. If used in excess, an entirely white interior can appear unfinished, empty, sterile, and bored. But when combined with the right elements and proportions, white is an inspired way to capture innocence. This color is charismatic and pairs well with all other hues, serving as a great frame for more aggressive colors or simply gleaming on its own.
Want to get acquainted with the rest of the rainbow? Indulge in the rest of the series with these previous posts. Come back next week to explore the depths of black.

Soft white...

After a long, blissful summer day, I want to collapse into this soft white bed.  Stylist Stella Nicolaisen stole my affection with this space, the gentle filtered light is begging for company.
Here's a glimpse of my work at EcoSalon this week {take a look, maybe even leave a comment or rate my words}.
Mail Order Reform {Glossy Catalogues + Earth Love = Gorgeousness}

Romantic reveries...

Hvítur Lakkrís has completely stolen my heart; Gua's blog is brimming with glamorous images of perfectly styled romantic vignettes {lovely places to sit and dream}.  Here is just a tease {there is so much more creative perfection to adore}.

Oh, how I wish this was just beyond my back door.

Crisp and clean...

Designed by Helena and Pelle Hallgren, this home is a sanctuary.  It feels so pristine, yet casual enough to live in {the perfect combination}.

Sprawling home therapy...

Today I had the pleasure of meeting Charlotta Ward of Space for Inspiration.  There are so very many lovely things there, I had to steal {at least} one.
Originally featured on Apartment Therapy, this home in Laurel Canyon, California has little vignettes of perfection.  Here are my favorite shots of this sun-drenched space.
The walls in the dining room are alluring.
A crisp and fresh boudoir.
And the backyard I have always dreamed of {add a sprinkle of mason jar lanterns and I am in heaven}.
{My endless gratitude for the mention on Space for Inspiration.}

Dinner bell...

If this were my dining room, I would eat here, work here, and maybe even sleep here.
