40 Great Nail Art Ideas- 3 shades of red/orange
Good morning and happy Saturday!
Here is this week's 40GNAI mani. The main prompt was using 3 shades of red/orange; my personal prompt was fan brush nail art. This is my second attempt at using a fan brush for nail art. My first attempt was 2 and a half years ago, and rather disasterous.
For the 3 shades of red/orange, I used the following China Glaze colors-
None of Your Risky Business
Red-y to Rave
Hot Flash
White on White (base color for the fan brush)
Let just say this, the photo IS NOT color accurate. I think the colors freaked out my phone's camera, especially Risky Business. It's much more orange than it appears to be.

40 Great Nail Art Ideas- food
Yay for posting the 40 Great Nail Art Ideas on the right day!!
Good evening!
As the title says, this week's prompt is food. I chose to do something that I hadn't done, but have admired on others- drippy ice cream nails. I started with a base of China Glaze Boho Blues. This is such a pretty color. The drippy chocolate is OPI Suzi Loves Cowboys, the sprinkles are China Glaze Point me to the Party.

Happy Thursday!
Good afternoon! I hope the day finds you well :) Yay for the week being almost over! It seems like it's been a long one, or it's just me lol. Maybe I need a vacation!
Anyways. Here's my offering of manis to you, starting with today's 52WPNMC prompt, tie dye. I didn't do tie dye, per se, more a tie dye look. I created a vertical gradient using crellies I have from the China Glaze Electric Nights collection. This was done over a white base, of course, and topped with Seche Vite. Colors used are as follows:
White on White
Glow With the Flow
Home Sweet House Music
Daisy Know my Name?
Treble Maker
DJ Blue my Mind
Plur-ple
Inlinkz to the other participants:
For yesterday's #watermarblepracticewed, the prompt was over a glitter base. I had recently repurchased OPI DS Titanium, mainly because I felt I gave it an unfair boot. I layered a coat of it over OPI Incognito in Sausalito. For the water marble, I used Nail Envy and My Dogsled is a Hybrid.
I actually really like how this looked :) Topped with Seche Vite.
Tuesday, I tried a new to me Zoya, Ginger. Okay, this not the color I envision with a name like Ginger, but Zoya has a habit of doing that. Ginger is what I would call tiger lily orange, and is similar in finish to Zoya Lianne. Ginger was surprisingly opaque in 2 coats, where Lianne takes 3. I stamped over Ginger with Mundo brown and UberChic UC 1-01. Looks kinda fallish, but I liked it.
Monday was just a stamping over of Sunday's mani, which was ILNP Float On. Omg, I just love this color, it's so gorgeous, and it was opaque in two coats! I haven't tried to stamp with it yet, but I bet it would. Stamped over it is Messy Mansion MM42 in Mundo mint.
I apologize now for the less than sharp-ness of the stamped pic XD
I had a new textured polish to try out last Friday, yay!! It was Marine for Formula X for Sephora, from the Sea Glass collection. Love the color, it's so pretty. Marine is an oddly smooth textured polish; the longer I wore it, the more I thought it should have been topcoated, but I don't topcoat textures. They usually eat topcoat. Marine was opaque in two coats, and was easy to apply.
Last Thursday was the last prompt of the month, and for a month or two, of the 30DoCC. One of the prompts was grey, which is what I picked to do. For that, I used Zoya Temperance, which I hadn't used yet. This is a pretty grey with a pinkish shimmer to it. Reminded me a bit of an OPI, but I can't think of it. Temperance did fine with just two coats.

Happy Hump Day!
Hello and happy Wednesday! How does this day find everyone? It's a pisser of a day here, typical for summer. I'm so over, like, four months ago :P
I have some fun, summery manis to show off, starting with today's cool blue water marble. Today was supposed be the prompt for #watermarblepractisewed on IG, which was neon matte. I nailed the matte, the neon not so much. All the neons I tried last night just didn't want to work, I think my water was too warm. Instead of fighting with them, I chose a few blues and went for it.
The colors I used are all China Glaze:
White on White for the base
Secret Peri-Wink-Le
Bahamian Escape
Electric Beat
Topped with Seche, then matted with Matte Magic.
Yellow was one of the prompts for yesterday's 30DoCC. I recently picked up China Glaze Daisy Know my Name? on clearance at Sally's. Let me tell you, this color is a bitch to get even. Out of all the Electric Nights colors I have, which is almost all now minus Red-y to Rave, this one is the worst application wise. It took me four coats, and I should have capped each layer >.< I sponged on Candy Lacquer Pixel Party, then topped with Seche. Daisy was more stubborn to remove the glitter, even.
Inlinkz to other participants:
Monday was a combined mani for PAA Mani Monday and the 52WPNMC. I pretty much just took one prompt from each and created :) Purple was for PAAMM, swirls for 52WPNMC. The base is Zoya Isa, which is just gorgeous. The swirls were stamped in Mundo turquoise from Jr. 20.
Inlinkz:
Stamping Sunday's mani was a little more subtle than I intended. The prompt was over a pink glitter base. My base was Zoya Eden and Harper. Stamped over that were images from Marianne Nails 58 in Mundo copper.
Last Friday's mani was just last Thursday's Skittle mani with holo stamping over it. The Skittles was created with China Glaze colors:
Lemon Fizz
Gaga for Green
Sweet Hook
Dance Baby
Electric Beat
The holo stamping was done with Color Club Beyond. The kitties and butterflies were from DRK A3, which is just recently released.
This mani also fit the holo prompt for Saturday's 30DoCC.

Happy Thursday!
Good afternoon! Is it Friday yet? XD
It's been a long, stressful week, and it's because of the wonderful electronics that are supposed to make our lives easier. Yeah, right lol. I'm about ready to chuck the lot of them out into traffic, it's been that kind of week.
I do have pretty manis to show, though, so let's get to them! Today's mani was for the 52 WPNMC challenge. I actually to redo this one because I hated how it looked when I got up this morning. The prompts were stripes and/or pastels. The pastels part I liked, it was the stripes that I hated. I ended up with just a pastel Skittles mani that might get stamped with something for tomorrow lol.
All the color I used were from China Glaze, and all but one were the Electro Pop collection. They were-
Dance Baby
Sweet Hook
Electric Beat
Gaga for Green
Lemon Fizz
Crappy indoor because crappy weather outside :P
And the Inlinkz to the other bloggers:
Wednesday was two challenges combined in one mani. One for the #watermarblepractisewed on Instagram, and one for the 30 Days of Colour Challenge. The water marble prompt called for negative space, the 30DoCC prompt I picked was neutral.
As much as I love the negative space look, I don't like it on me, so I cheated and did a "naked" base of Zoya Taylor, which also fulfilled the neutral prompt. I water marble over Taylor with Darcy, Thandie, and OPI Nail Envy.
I really like how this looked, I just love neutrals and brights paired together.
Inlinkz:
I'm ridiculously proud of what I came up with for the ANS challenge this week, denim nails. They're very 80's, but that's what I was going for. The base is Maybelline Styled Out, which is from their denim inspired line. The neon studs are from Born Pretty. The stamping was VL-3 from aliexpress in MdU Barbie.
Monday's mani looks a little fallish, but I just love the two colors I used together. Base colors are Zoya Oceane and Autumn, with MdU copper and MJ XXIX stamped over Oceane.
You know I love a when I use it two days in a rows, because Oceane was a base in my Stamping Sunday mani, along with Trixie. The prompt was circles. Pet'la Geomatrix and MdU silver for the stamping. I matted the stamping with Zoya's matte topcoat for the matte for the 30DoCC.
Inlinkz:
No mani for Saturday, but an obnoxiously bright, textured one for last Friday. I used China Glaze for this, Toe-Tally Textured, Home Sweet House Music, and Point me to the Party. I really thought that HSHM would toned down TTT, but it didn't.
Last Thursday was a prompt for the 30DoCC. I kept it simple and just did the flakie one. Colors used were Zoya Kimber and KBShimmer Rainbow Shield.
Last Wednesday's water marble prompt was holo. I couldn't bring myself to marble with any of my precious holos, so I marbled over. The holo I used was ILNP Black Orchid, with China Glaze Dance and OPI Nail Envy for the marble.

Summer fun!
Good afternoon!
We just celebrated the unofficial start of summer; too bad Florida missed that memo and started summer weather weeks ago! I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend, holiday or no. Mine was nice, busy, but nice. I'm starting to feel like myself again :) I haven't done much for challenge prompts, compared to previous weeks, but I did do a few.
Today's and yesterday's manis are prompts for the 52 Week Pick N Mix Challenge. The prompts were patchwork and/or bright and happy. I chose to do them separately because, quite frankly, I was drawing a blank on other challenge prompts this week, or just didn't like them :P
The patchwork prompt was up for today. This started as a tape mani for me, using Zoya Purity and Demetria. I immediately regretted doing red over white, but I stuck with it. I freehanded the patchwork art in Zoya Black Swan, and topped everything with SV. Not too bad, I think, considering my freehand sucks and this my first try at a patchwork mani.
Since today was patchwork, that means yesterday was bright and happy (lol). For that, I chose China Glaze Glow With the Flow and Can I Get an Untz Untz?.
Here is the Inlinkz for this week's prompts:
Monday was Memorial, and instead of doing something patriotic (like everyone else :P), I decided to try another look that I hadn't done yet- the turquoise stone mani. I've seen many gorgeous manis with this look, and I knew it was something I wanted to try.
All the colors used in my mani were from Zoya, from base color to stamping. Colors I used were Rocky, Talia, Ziv, and Black Swan. Stamping plate was Sugar Bubbles SB 021.
This next mani I did up for the 30 Days of Colour Challenge prompt, color blocking and/or creme. My color blocking for this was a total fail, so I ended up with a creme Skittles. Colors are all from Zoya's Island Fun collection; the only one I didn't use was Demetria.
This mani was put on Thursday night and didn't come off until late Sunday. Impressive for me, since I take off every day. More impressive because I had very little tip wear and no chips.
Inlinkz for this prompt:
Wednesday's mani was just the bright ass, obnoxious, retina searing neon orange that is Zoya Paz.

Happy Cinco de Mayo!
Good afternoon! I hope everyone is enjoying their Tuesday afternoon :)
I'm making some headway through the pile of untried polishes I have sitting at my desk..... Only to have not one, but two Zoya orders coming to me x.x One is my small order from the Earth day promo, the other (that hasn't shipped yet) is their brand new summer collections. I tell ya, Zoya and China Glaze both have nailed it this summer with their colors!
Today's mani, though, featured a color from Zoya's Delights collection, Lillian. I have a hard time describing it; Lillian reminds me, a little, of China Glaze's Kinetic Candy from the Electro Pop collecio. Kind of a blue mint, is the best I can think of. The formula was nice on Lillian, I only needed two coats for nice coverage. Since I was in a flakie mood, I added a coat of Sally Hansen's Glass Slipper.
Yesterday was my first successful attempt at a splatter mani :) I had tried it a few times, last summer I think, and yeah, wasn't happy with the results. I was over the moon with the one I did for yesterday's #paamanimonday. All colors used were China Glaze:
White on White
Glow With the Flow
Plur-ple
Treble Maker
Point me to the Party
I wasn't feeling this week's Stamping Sunday theme, so I did something different. I started with a rainbow gradient base, using all but one of the colors from Color Club's Pastel Neon collection, and that was done over Morgan Taylor's All White Now. I stamped zig zags over the gradient, using both Bundle BM-423 and Vivid Lacquer's VL 010, stamped with Mundo de Unas bones.
I busted out a texture last week for Textured Friday. Not that I have any new textures, but it is one of my least used textures, OPI What's a Little Rain Forest?.
Thursday's mani was one of those that I tried one way, and should done how I originally planned, simply because I didn't like how it felt on my nails. I had wanted to wear China Glaze Home Sweet House Music, but I had seen reviews that recommend a white base. I should have that, because I really don't think it needed it and it made it look..... thick once I was done. I used White on White, 3 coats of of HSHM, then sponged on Point me to the Party. Yes, the white made HSHM bright, but I think it would have been fine without it.
I went kind of classic, spectator look last Tuesday. I started off with Zoya Asia, which I think everyone needs, then stamped over it with Sugar Bubbles SB 021 and MdU white.

Happy Tuesday!
Good afternoon!
I've got some new pretties to show off today! I'm just loving all the bright colors that everyone seems to be coming out with this spring and summer; I think they know what a sucker I am for them lol.
Today's mani was rather simple, but I love the color. Yellow itself is not unique to my collection, but a yellow with a turquoise shimmer is. Zoya Daisy is just that. I found the formula a little tricky to work with, I needed 4 coats for it to be even. Three might have been enough, but it's hard to tell with the lighting in my bedroom sometimes.
Yesterday was water marble day :) It came out more subtle than I intended, but it was still pretty. The colors are from China Glaze's Electric Nights collection, which I totally recommend getting as many as you can. They're gorgeous, and I love the glitters, too! I used Treble Maker and UV Meant to Be over White on White, then topped with Seche.
I actually did up this week's Stamping Sunday challenge, which was "roses aren't red.... flowers in unusual colors". I've never seen flowers in neon colors, unless they're dyed, so my base was a neon. This is Morgan Taylor's Pink Flame-ingo. It was a little streaky, but needed no white undies, so three coats was good for it. I stamped over with MdU sky blue, from her new Candy collection, and Winstonia W315. Seche to finish it.
I officially have no more new textured polishes :( Instead of a true textured polish, I went with a textured look, meaning I used a Crackle! Yes, I still love them, and wish I could some neon ones for summer. For this mani, I started with a base of Color Club's Disco's not Dead, which a pretty, light yellow creme. For all it's pastel-ness, it has a decent formula, and only needed 3 coats. Seche over that, then a coat of China Glaze's Crushed Candy, another coat of Seche, and a coat of Matte Magic.
Thursday was a purple-y kind of day. Zoya Leslie was my base at three coats. Leslie is such a pretty color. Seche went over that, then it got stamped with MdU violet and FUN 14. Another coat of Seche to finish it.
This next mani is my absolute favorite in quite a while, and that's saying a lot. I only used three colors, and a glitter, three of them from the Electric Nights collection. The white base is White on White. The others are Glow With the Flow, Home Sweet House Music, and Point me to the Party. This was such a fun mani to create, and I loved it.
