Try Stampin' on Tuesday Challenge

Ok, I know it's Wednesday and I am a day behind in posting my challenge card to my blog.  I thought summer was when things slowed down......but it doesn't for me because it's the start of football season!!

So please forgive my late post; below you will find this week's Try Stampin' on Tuesday sketch.  When you are finished with your creation, please post it HERE.

I stamped the flower image from the set, Blooming with Kindness, with Early Espresso ink and then die cut the image using an Apothecary Accent Die.  I then used the Essentials paper piercing template to outline the die cut.  I then feathered the edges with Crumb Cake ink and sponge.  I accented the bottom of the Early Espresso c/s using another paper piercing template, and added some pearls and bow.  Here's the rest of the details:

Stamps: Blooming with Kindness
Inks: Early Espresso, Crumb Cake
Papers: Very Vanilla, Early Espresso, Crumb Cake
Accessories: Big Shot, Apothecary Accent Die, Essentials Paper Piercing Templates, Lacy Brocade EF, Very Vanilla Ribbon, Pearls, Paper Piercing Tool, Dimensionals, Mini-Glue Dots

CAS Card

My awesome nephew, Austin, updated my computer over the weekend.......I had serious computer withdrawal, but it was so worth it!

With my computer being upgraded, I wasn't able to meet the design challenge deadlines this weekend.  But I was able to make a very simple CAS card!

I thought I would try tucking a piece of Rich Razzleberry satin ribbon under the lace from the Artisan Embellishments Kit.  I think it looks kind of cool, and like the softness of the card.  Here's the details:

Stamps: Blooming with Kindness, Itty Bitty Backgrounds
Inks: Rich Razzleberry
Papers: Very Vanilla, Rich Razzleberry
Accessories: Big Shot, Apothecary Accent Die, Bitty Butterfly Punch, Artisan Embellishments Kit, Pearls, Distressing Tool, Sponge, Dimensionals

We have another great sketch for you this week over on the Try Stampin' on Tuesday Challenge blog!  The sketch is shown below; and you can post your works on art on the blog - which you can find HERE.

Below is the card that I created for this week's challenge.  I embossed the image using Early Espresso EP, and then tried to lightly rub some Early Espresso and Pink Pirouette ink over the image.  Unfortunately I was a little heavy handed on the Early Espresso ink!  Here's a link of the supplies that I used:

Stamps: Blooming with Kindness, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Inks: Early Espresso, Pink Pirouette
Papers: Whisper White, Pink Pirouette, Twitterpated DSP
Accessories: Big Shot, Delicate Designs EF, Vintage Wallpaper EF, 1-1/4" Two-Tone Pink Pirouette/Rose Red Ribbon, White Baker's Twine, Vintage Trinkets, Pearls, Word Window Punch, Lace Ribbon Border Punch, Dimensionals

Swallowtail

I saw a beautiful card that the very talented Sandi MacIver did using the stamp set, Swallowtail, from the Spring Catalog.  You can see Sandi's stunning card on her blog by clicking HERE.  Sandi has a wonderful tutorial on her blog that shows how she made her card.

Below is the card that I cased.  I changed it up by popping up the wing of the swallowtail, and used the set, Elements of Style, for the background, and Blooming with Kindness for the saying.

Close up of the wing

Stamps: Swallowtail, Blooming with Kindness, Elements of Style
Inks: More Mustard, Marina Mist
Papers: Whisper White, Brushed Gold
Accessories: Gold EP, Heat Gun, Sponge Daubers, Stamp-A-Ma-Jig

Try Stampin' on Tuesday!

I thought I would try my hand at today's Try Stampin' on Tuesday challenge, and below is the card that I came up with.  Here's the link to the blog if you would like to try this fun challenge out, simply click HERE.

Here is the sketch:

And here is my project:

To create this card, I embossed the flower image on a piece of Whisper White c/s and using a VersaMark IP, and the new Early Espresso EP.   Next I sponged some Pink Pirouette ink over the image, and then distressed the edges of the DSP and Whisper White c/s.  Then I used the Delicate Designs EF to emboss embossing on the bottom of the card front.  I attached one of the pins from the Vintage Trinkets collect to the saying and ribbon.  Here's a list of what I used:

Stamps: Blooming with Kindness, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Inks: Pink Pirouette, Early Espresso ink and EP
Papers: Whisper White, Early Espresso, Pink Pirouette, Twitterpated DSP
Accessories: Big Shot, Heat Tool, Delicate Designs EF, Pretty in Pink Ribbon, Vintage Trinkets, Pearls, Word Window Punch, Distressing Tool, Paper Piercing Tool, Sponge, Dimensionals
