Birthday Card for Archer

 Hello!

I just came across this card in my Google Photos...had kind of forgotten about it.  I made it for the little guy I nanny for; his birthday was last week.

I'm still digging into the stash post-100 Day Project.  These dies have been around for a WHILE.

Cheers!

Aussie Christmas Card

My friend, Denise, lives down under and I thought it would be fun to send her an Aussie-inspired card for the holidays.

I think it will make her grin.  I just hope it gets there before Christmas!

I'm adding this to the Lawn Fawnatics "happy holiday critters" challenge.

Cheers!

Woo hoo!  I think I might actually get some cards sent out this year.  Made a few of these...

I love this little house from Lawn Fawn.  Ho ho ho!

25 Tags of Christmas: Days 1 and 14

It's time for the annual "25 Tags of Christmas" makes with Tracey McNeely over at In My Creative Opinion.  I thought I was just going to be a silent viewer this year...I don't really use 25 tags every year...but I saw some pretty cute tags and was feeling inspired.  Hmmm...maybe I'll switch it up and make some birthday ones in place of Christmas!

Anyhoo...my tags are going to be a wee bit out of order and since this is 2020 with all of its weirdness I've decided that it's okay to do it that way.  Ha ha!

This tag, for Day 1, was inspired by Vanessa.  I liked how she had the free swinging smaller tag on top of her base tag.  She used some cute penguins on hers, too.

Day 14's tag is inspired by Elena.  I had a tough time choosing which tag to be inspired by...I love Lawn Fawn products and they were the ones highlighted on Day 14.

Two tags down, 23 to go!

LawnFawnattics CASE Yourself challenge

Typically I'm all about getting inspiration from other people but every once in a while it's nice to look back through my own makes to get The Muse ready to roll.  That's what the LawnFawnattics challenge #49 is all about.  When I see CAS I think 'clean and simple', but when you add an E on the end it becomes 'copy and share'.

Here's my new card:

And here's the old one:

I think my little dinosaur card will go to one of my little preschoolers.  Just can't go wrong with dinosaurs!

To play along and CASE yourself, check out the challenge HERE

I hope you're enjoying the beginning of spring (or fall, if that's where you are) and thanks for stopping by!

Inspired by a Book, Movie or Song...

I have a very sweet, dear friend who I don't see nearly often enough...even though we live less than a mile apart!  Crazy.  I knew when I saw the Lawn Fawnatics challenge that I wanted to make a card for her.  Since we grew up in the same era I know she'd know the song this was inspired by, too.

Can you guess which song it is?  Think back to the early 90's while you look at the following image...

Every time I see these super cute stamps from Lawn Fawn this song goes through my head.  "Baby Got Back" by Sir Mix-a-Lot!  Don't get me wrong, Margaret does not have a big butt and I doubt this song will play through her head when she sees this card, but I'm sure it WILL make her smile and my work here will be done.

Too early for Christmas?

I think interactive cards are so much fun and I pulled out the Lawn Fawn Reveal Wheel again to make a card for the "something old, something new" challenge at Lawn Fawnatics.

My "something new" is the Reveal Wheel Holiday Sentiments.

My "something old" is the Tobaggan Together stamp set and the Stitched Mountain Border.

Thanks for stopping by!

Hello Fall Mood Board

Hello, Friends!

I recently caved and purchased the Lawn Fawn Reveal Wheel die set.  I just had to - love me some interactive fun.  I made this card for the Lawn Fawnatics current mood board challenge.

Here's what each sentiment says...

The mood board is fall-inspired and full of beautiful fall colors and inspiration.

You Float My Boat

It's summertime and the livin' is easy...

As I type I'm delighting in a delicious, frosty treat fresh from the ice cream truck. Mmmmm...  Summer reminds me of sunny days at the beach, too, and that's what I was thinking about when I made this card.

I love this stamp set from Lawn Fawn.  My dad used to take me out of school on the occasional Friday and we would go sailing on our little 14-foot sailboat.  Afterwards we would hit the ice cream store (I never mentioned that part to Mom because it was usually around 5:00 or so - too close to dinnertime).  Good memories!

Anyway, I made this for the Lawn Fawn challenge #32 which is a fun, beachy color challenge.  When I added the color for the sky and water I was planning on putting a piece of cardstock over the whole thing that had a circle cut out of the middle to show the water/sky.  But I reconsidered and just went with what was there; it works.

I hope you're having a wonderful summer.  Thanks for stopping by!

Lawn Fawn Bookmarks

When I saw these I knew I must have them.  So darn cute!  I think it's because not only do you get the front part dangling off the edge of ...whatever, but you also get the back view.  Makes me grin.  I whipped up a couple of quickie bookmarks.

My 16-year-old immediately nabbed the sloth one as he felt it was perfect for his current English reading assignment.  Ha ha!

You Float My Boat: Lawn Fawnatics Summertime Challenge

Hello, friends!

Today is Independence Day here in the US; Happy 4th to all those celebrating.  May your fireworks be colorful and sparkly.  :)

Today is a beautiful sunny day here in the Pacific NW.  In fact, it would be the perfect day to go for a sail.  (Too bad we don't have a boat. LOL)  Summertime to me is time spent at the beach, playing in the sand and water.  I knew right away which Lawn Fawn set I wanted to pull out for the challenge.

I think I've only made one or two shaker boxes in the bazillion years I've been crafting.  This was fun to make (and I love any excuse to bring out these pretty sequins!).

To play along with the challenge go HERE.

Wishing you a wonderful, fun-filled summer (maybe with a little sailing thrown in?).
