Getting ready to quilt...

This is the next quilt to go on my machine. It is a beautiful Bear claw done in fall colors. I found that the two long borders are too wavy for me to ease out the excess fabric, so I am going to do some fixing before I quilt to make my life easier. This quilt was made by my Customer's MIL who is no longer with us.
After unstitching the border, I found an extra two inches of fabric. I will fix the other borders and make the corners lay flat. I will do this mostly for making it easier to quilt.
I think that I will have to find a good tutorial to help customers with how to put on flat borders.
This quilt was hard to quilt, but I made myself get it done today.
Since it was supposed to be finished last November, I even did the binding. Carol was so patient and understanding about my Dad's illness and passing, I felt that she deserved a completely finished quilt.
Now I am on to my next quilt that should have been done today. My plan is to try to get caught up by Sunday the 24th of March. Then I can hopefully get a few of my own tops quilted

Sneek peeks of my first row and round...

All I can show is a little of the colors. This is the row Robin that belongs to Bea Bea. She is doing stars in very bright colors and requested us to not sew the rows together.
Here is Carolyn's block.
This is the first round on Carolyn's quilt block from our guilds Round Robin. I love her colors. Can't show the result cause she reads my blog. All I can say is I am ready for next Monday nights exchange at our Guild meeting.
It will be exciting to see the next quilt in the Row and Round Robins.

What have I been doing?.....

Not much, I have kind of been in a funk lately.
I really need to finish the quilt that is on my machine, but I am having trouble getting back to it. I finished this block #1 of a BOM that I started long ago.
Hope you are having a great quilty weekend!
