End of the year review...

There are a lot of Quilters that have been showing all the UFOs that they have finished this year. I am very proud of them. Wish I could say the same about myself. But, I have started more new things than finished existing UFOs.Here are a few things that I actually finished this year.
This top was put together and I even have a plan for how I want to quilt it.
This was completed and gifted to my Mom.
Authors of this book are Susan Maw and Sally Bell.
Another top that I also have a quilting plan in mind.
 Table runner quilted and bound.
 Table runner quilted and bound.
 Wall hanging completed.
 Table runner quilted and bound.
QOV completed and just needs to be given away.
 Smith Mountain top finished.
Another top finished, that I have a quilting plan started in my head.
Last year's Bonnie Hunter mystery "Easy Street" finished, bound and gifted to my Cousin.
This is my round robin top that I plan to continue and make a bed size quilt.
I also started many more projects....
my plan for 2014 is to try and finish more projects than I start. I have not gotten to far with this sort of plan in the past, but maybe the tide will change this coming year. Just need to keep the quilters ADD in check.

More finished Christmas gifts...

This round table mat was made by my Mom.
The top runner is one of my UFO's and the other runner I made today. These three runners were requested to be made by my MIL. She doesn't sew but appreciates what I make and she wanted these to give as gifts to some of her friends. It was a little short notice, but she is a very sweet Lady and I love that I can do this for her.

Quilts for Christmas....

 This is Dottie's bed runner.
I used the panto "Tickle"
This is AnnMarie's quilt for her Daughter, it is huge/king size.
I used the panto "Chantilly Lace"
This is Sandy's beautiful quilt.
I used the panto "Winter White"
This is my Mom's throw.
I used the panto "Winter White"
I used a plush throw from TJ Max for the back and batting. I love how it turned out. It would make a great baby gift.
I am now finished with Customer quilts and can now work on some of my own. I am also going to move my machine to it's own room.

Next up on the Quilt Que....

This beautiful "Trees up, Lights are on" is being quilted with the "Winter White" pantograph. The fabric in this quilt are gorgeous!

Practice on a quilt for my Mom...

My Mom made this lap quilt a couple of years ago. I decided to quilt the top onto a plush throw. I purchased the throw at TJ Max for $15.00, I think that is cheaper than buying yardage. It was easier than I thought to quilt through, just had to be careful not to stretch it. I will take better pictures tomorrow after I sew the binding on.

Here it is December already, I have only three quilts to get done before Christmas.
I made these cute little bags for my MahJongg Friends. I gave them to them today filled with Dove Dark Chocolates.
Tomorrow the quilting begins again!

Look what came in the mail today...

The Tula Pink Butterfly quilt pattern. I have loved this from the first time I saw it as she was designing it. I saw it on her blog and on the blog of her quilter. I also have found some fabric in my stash that I collected a long time ago that will be perfect for this pattern.
I have plenty of the pale peach for background and the other three can be focus fabris that repeat in the Butterfly.
also in this collection were tons of fatquarters and a few charms. I may have to start this new quilt soon as I get back from my annual Thanksgiving trip...or before. Something about this fabric has been calling to me for the last month or so. I guess it has finally aged long enough.

Here is a look at what I am working on...

I brought this pattern home from my Mom's house last summer. She used the charm packs to make valances for her living room. the flowers were precuts from Moda, so I bought more charms and now have the flowers placed and fused.
Inspector Scotty noticed that I made them longer, but approved since they will fit my island better. (Now lets play)
I am also working on Customer quilts. The panto on this one is called "Tannenbaum".

SC Girls with Longarms 2013 Quilt challenge.....

The following quilts were from the quilters in my Longarm group. We all used the same layout to make the quilt and then quilted it to show off our talents. They were all gorgeous. To see pictures of the Quilters go to One Loose Thread and click on the card.

Sorry that I did not write down the names of who made each quilt. They were all winners and we all learned a lot by participating in the challenge. I am looking forward to next years challenge, it will be presented in our January meeting.
