My trip to Lancaster, SC...Part 2...

On Saturday morning we went to the One Stop Shop Hop in Lancaster.
I was able to restrain my spending, but did pick up some nice things. A piece of wool for the Harrington & Hannah BOM, flannel fat quarters, wool applique needles, and a few cotton fats.

On our way home we stopped at Jim Shore's White House
located in Heath Springs, SC.
I saw the quilt in the pattern made up there and decided to plan one of my own. The blue and white fabric under the pattern came home with me. I am not sure yet if the quilt will be just blue & white or if I will add yellow to it. The best part about the White House is the beautiful 100 year old house it is in. They have most of Jim Shore's sculptures for sale and quilting fabric for $6.00 per yard. They also have lots of vintage linens and beautiful gift items for sale in the rooms of this beautiful home.
I worked on these blocks last night.
Here is today's design bed/wall. This is a Turning Twenty around the Block. It is my eldest Daughter's quilt and will get borders of the butterfly fabric.
To see what others are working on go to Judy's blog Patchwork Times

My trip to Lancaster, SC...

I rode with four of my Quilt Friends. We left Friday morning early and headed north. Our first stop was Ikea in Charlotte, NC.
I picked up these two lights that I had seen on Bonnie Hunter's Blog recently. They were fairly inexpensively, only twenty five dollars for the two lights.
The next stop after lunch at Ikea's was MaryJo's
in Gastonia, NC.
I picked up backings for two quilts that are now in process of being worked on.
I also picked up a few notions, cloud fabric for my travel squares, mushroom fabric for a guild challenge and the blue for a tree.
Next stop in Gastonia Sew Much Fun Quilt Shop.
This quilt shop has almost every line of Moda that exists. I controlled myself and bought a piece of sale fabric for a backing and some Cat Kin fabric that goes with scraps given to me by my Mom. I'll stop for now and show you What we did on Saturday tomorrow.
