Wall hanging finished

Side A
These birds were from one fabric and the brown was a coordinate.
This is my sample for a class in making a quilt as you go double sided quilt with a grid sashing.
Side B
It was fun to make and now I should get out my "UFO" large king size garden quilt that is being constructed this way. I think this is a good way to do utility type quilts, but still prefer to have show quilts long arm quilted.

Busy, busy, busy...

I have been working on updating our front landscaping. I have also been trying to catch up on some quilting projects. I started by first straightening up my cutting table and reorganizing my priorities.
And this weekend is my Birthday!(march 27th)
So far I got these patterns in the mail. Love knows no season was a free BOM by Elsie M. Campbell, I ordered the pattern around Valentine's Day and just received it this week. The Life is Beautiful pattern was ordered from The Buggy Barn. I am planning on doing the Love Knows No Season as a wool applique onto flannel and the Life is Beautiful in blue and cream. But first I must catch up on some of my other projects.

Next class we are going to add setting triangles and borders.
This is an in progress double sided quilt as you go wall hanging. I got the fabric Friday when I picked up my Tonga BOM.
