Binding and UFO focus

I've been working on putting all my new treasures in order, so that I can find them when I am ready to work on them. I also was able to sew the binding onto my galaxy star quilt and am now hand sewing it down. Hope to have it ready for show & tell at the guilds June meeting.
I spent most of Thursday and Friday hunting for my blue & yellow fabric that I put away just before I left to go to Idaho. I don't know if this ever happens to you, but I remembered putting it away and just couldn't remember where. It took me until last night before I located it and was able to add this beautiful yellow fabric that my girlfriend shared with me. It is going to be a quilt for me, so I will not be working on it until at least next year.
Well, now all I have to do is get back on track to organize my energy and see if I can finish at least one UFO a month. I will still work on other projects, but I am going to try to finish or at least move forward on some of the quilt tops or blocks that I have sitting on my shelves that are close to being done. Time will tell, I'll keep you posted as to how this is progressing for me. Wish me luck and I am going to try to focus, focus, focus.

New Projects from Idaho

This was a really neat project that one of my friend's customer was working on at the last Shop & Sew I attended. It is about her battle with cancer from a drawing her Sister drew for her.
This is a new fabric called Stonehenge, I hope one day to make a quilt that depicts an antique Italian Floor.
I was able to find some small pieces of wool for my wool crazy project and an interesting book.
These are a pattern & kits for pin cushions using texture magic.
I found this marbled fabric that will be used in a stained glass project that hasn't been started yet.
This is a pattern for making crayon coloring on fabric and then quilting it to look like applique, just something to try out.
A BOM pattern I couldn't resist and the tree pattern was designed by the friend I was visiting.
I picked up this cute purse handle in The Quilter's Haven in Bountiful, UT.
More stripes to play with!
A little project I played with in Idaho. Used anew ruler that makes prairie points or rick rack from a fabric strip.
I bought The Farmer's Wife book about a month ago and only just now started making the blocks. My Girlfriend has about 60 Ladies working on these blocks, and when I saw them in person I just had to start.
I am still learning to work around the new quilt inspector. Chipper likes to climb onto your shoulder to see what you are doing. I have never had a cat that did this, but it keeps him out of harms way when I use the rotary cutter.
Thanks for stopping by........Marj

Part 3 Idaho Trip

This part of my trip was The Home Machine Quilters Show. Below are a few of my favorites from the show.
The piecing, colors and quilting were amazing.
I liked the houses and the border on this quilt.
The colors and quilting on this quilt drew me to it.
I liked the whimsical layout of this one.
I started this same quilt as a BOM, guess this should give me incentive to finish it.
I liked the shadows and reflections.
Loved the stained glass effect and colors.
Cute kinda primitive sampler.
I liked the visual effect of the squares and circles..
The animals were gorgeous.
Thought this was an interesting layout.
This one caught my eye, because lately I have been drawn to tree quilt blocks. I like the idea of making a tree sampler quilt.
Tomorrow I will share some of the new projects that I picked up.
