Talk about cute! There's rarely a cupcake that I wouldn't eat. Well, these are the exception to my rule, I just couldn't eat these cuties, which just happen to be the inspiration for this week's Cupcake Inspiration Challenge CIC239. The only thing cuter than these toppings are the images from our sponsor, Digi Darla Designs . You have to go visit Digi Darla, there are so many adorable images there you could just lose your mind trying to pick one. By the way, if you're in a rush and don't have time to color or you aren't very good at coloring there are some pre-colored images available too. There's something for everyone.
I love cats and dogs, my house has been a zoo for years. So I had to pick "Digi Darla's Snowtime Scottie 9" an image that features both a cat and a dog for my card.
For the notch at the top right of the card I used circle dies placed over the edge of the paper. A larger circle was used on the patterned paper so that card stock mat would show. I took my time placing this die and used a tiny piece of scotch tape to hold it in place as even a slight move would be critical on this cut.
Currently the kitty that owns me is an orange tabby that's a lot tougher looking than this guy and our dog is a darker grey terrier mix (that's code for very lovable mutt). Neither of my animals own fancy hats and scarves but when my daughter was young she used to dress the cat up. He was quite a good sport about it.

CIC226 - Digi Darla
It's time for another fun and girly challenge from Cupcake Inspirations Challenges. We've got Digi Darla Designs back as our sponsor this week. You can see some of the fun and cute images being used by the design team this week if you go to our challenge blog. You can stop at Digi Darla's and see all of what they've got to offer and of course you can stop at both.
This week you we're giving a choice of photo or color inspiration challenge. Which ever you'd like to play.
I love the Digi Darla image I'm using. It's Purse 2,
The schools I attended required that uniforms be worn. But they didn't say anything about purses! I have purchased or been given purses of all shapes and sizes, used and new, in flea markets and on e-bay. I do love a purse. So for my card, it's hard to see but the purse is the card. I printed the card as large as my printer allowed. There are two of them cut out. The top portion, above the purse, the handle and the area in the middle of the handles are glued together and then the card opens under there.
In this large size this would also make a cute box to hold a few cards or tags made with this image. It could also be made into a little book. I see so many possibilities for this image.
Here's the deets:
stamp - Digi Darla Design "Purse 2"
ink - printer
paper - Georgia Pacific card stock
miscellaneous - copics; Ranger Glossy Accents; pearls; stickles
Here's the challenges:
Cupcake Inspirations CIC226 - photo or colors: fuschia, rose and pool
Sister Act #22 - Anything Goes
Crafty Sentiments - Make it Girly

CIC213 - Digi Darla
Here in the Northern Hemisphere Summer's arrived so what better time to have a beach inspired cupcake for the Cupcake Inspirations Challenge. This week we're sponsored by Digi Darla Designs. If you're a penguin lover you have got to stop by that shop.
This penguin gal "Beach Time" is the perfect image for this challenge. All the papers and embellishments were picked because they went with the color scheme and/or sea shore theme. The border punch with the beach buckets and sand castles is a favorite of mine. The beach bucket charm works perfectly with it. The die cut sea shells work well too.
Now it's your turn to make a card inspired by the beach cupcake and link it up to the Cupcake Inspirations Challenge.
Here's the deets:
stamp - Digi Darla Designs "Beach Time"
ink - printer
paper - Bazzill "Shimmer" card stock; Stampin' Up "So Saffron" card stock; scrap of green card stock; Imaginisce "Splash Dance - Bubble Bash" and "Splash Dance - Bathing Beauties" patterned paper
miscellaneous - copics; bling; twine; My Favorite Things "Sea Charms" die-namics; EK Success "Beach" border punch; beach bucket charm;

CIC181 - Happy Birthday
Can you believe how much detail went into the making of the feathers on this cupcake? Looks like a lot of work to me. Well, this peacock is the inspiration for this week's Cupcake Inspirations challenge. We're sponsored by Digi Darla Designs where you can find lots of cute images. There were at least 5 images that I had to enny, meanie, miney, moe over when I was picking my image for this challenge. There are literally hundreds of images to choose from, it won't take long to fill your shopping cart. Luckily digi images aren't that expensive, you can pick up quite a few before it gets pricey.
For my card I went with the "Happy Birthday Print Word Art" image. I've had the peacock dp for a long time. I had no idea how I was going to use it, but I knew eventually a use would pop up, and here it is. Pop over to the Cupcake Inspirations challenge blog to see what the rest of the design team was inspired to create. There's always some yummy eye candy to see.
Here's the deets:
