Okay, Okay... guilt trip = a success! Can't hold off any longer. I'll start posting all my class projects for you all to see starting with a layout today. All of these projects I'll be sharing are for upcoming classes that I will be teaching in the month of October at my local Craft store. If you are in the area, I'd love to have you!! How fun would it be to actually 'see' someone that you talk with on a daily basis??

First up... a Family Themed layout that I created for my sweet friend. She recently gave birth to her first child and as a Chinese tradition, at one month of age, a grand celebration is held to honour the new baby. There were so many people there! I realized that all 4 generations of her family were in attendance that night so made sure to get a photo of my bff, her daughter, her mother and her grandpa - what an amazing shot eh? I will be giving this to her mom as a gift and will give the one I create in class to her.

All papers are
Graphic 45 - mostly Fashionista with a little Botanicabella and Transatlantique thrown in for good measure. You can see I've done a lot of fussy cutting for the flourishes - love 'em! The doily was a plain ol' 'restaurant' doily that I've painted with black acrylic paint. I prefer to paint my paper doilies rather than ink as the paint lends itself to a thicker texture I find. Afterwards I may add ink for a more worn look or to tone down the paint colours slightly.

A 'fan' flower. Super easy to do these little things - I'm sure you've seen them everywhere. It was my first time adding to a layout and man, they are quite addictive. I'll post a tutorial on how to do these in October.
That's all for tonight folks. Tomorrow I'll be back to post my second layout class project. Another Family Themed layout - with multiple photos. Thanks for stopping by!! My youngest son has his first day of preschool tomorrow... am soooo excited!!! Photos for SURE tomorrow!!
