I watched the new(ish) documentary film about JIM WYNORSKI last night and it was a blast! I'm gonna watch it again. I haven't watched too many of his films but the ones I have watched were all cool. And his debut film, THE LOST EMPIRE, is one of my favourites. I urge you to seek out the documentary if you have any interest in entertaining psychotronic lowbudget flicks. The DVD is avaliable from their website.

The Danish release of THE LOST EMPIRE - unfortunately it's not on official dvd (there's a UK dvd but it's said to have VHS picture quality and I guess it's likely to be a boot).

HARD TO DIE (Jim Wynorski, USA, 1990)

I watched Jim Wynorski's HARD TO DIE tonight and, hands down, this is thee best film I've ever seen!!! Mein gott, HARD TO DIE is cinematic heaven!!! It's got everything: chicks in a skyscraper hunted by a mad maniac who can't die, naked chicks in a skyscraper hunted by a mad maniac who can't die, naked chicks with blood on their boobs in a skyscraper hunted by a mad maniac who can't die, Forrest J Ackerman (who's in a different building!), and so much more!! (well, that's actually a lie but fuck that, it's got chicks with boobs on their blood... I mean... arr just watch the trailer! It's good for you!! The DVD is available form Roger Corman's store on eBay).

Ahh, that good good man down in Amsterdam Peter (aka Petcor80) of Cinehound has a few cool trailers and stuff securely locked away in his vaults at YouTube. And I've just discovered he has the trailer for Jim Wynorski's amazing THE LOST EMPIRE!!

It's one of my all time favourite trash films and I strongly believe they should show stuff like this to little kids in school! LOL. THE LOST EMPIRE is trashy, psychotronic, gory. There's ninjas, the bad guy is a guy with dead skull for a face, the hero is a hot chick, there's a chick fight, there's a mud pool, and it's just full of amazing scenes, not to mention crappy dialogue! What's not to like!!! It'll always be on my Top 13 of fave flicks!

Released on Danish VHS as Ninja Amazone (if you're Danish you might wanna pull out STAY SICK! #3 where I babbled extensively about it).
