Editor Larsen's quest for the last obscure version of "The Mysterious Island of Captain Nemo"

I was just going thru old issues of Henrik Larsen's Obskuriøst zine (the sold out issues are free to DL) and if you're into adventure films you might wanna check out Henrik's article (in English) on "The Mysterious Island of Captain Nemo" and the many different versions of the film + TV series. Henrik tortured his friends with this for years!!! (literal speaking) LOL. It begins on p.10.

And for his old Nemo website go here.

The Old Gang reunite after four years

Yesterday in Sydhavnen, Copenhagen. Heine Sørensen (on the right) and Yours Truly hooked up with Obskuriøst editor Henrik Larsen (middle) after four long years of non-communication and looking cross. We had a blast! Henrik, lissen; Heine & I agree: it was a wonderful day! Thanks!!!

This unfocused, shaky one of Henrik & I actually pretty much reflects the surreal atmosphere of the afternoon.

PS: And my cult is growing. Thanks to Julia the Strange for subbing. Do check out her blog if you read Danish. In the words of that ol'e fave Cronenberg film: Long live the new flesh.

A video night long ago in downtown Copenhagen

More exciting stuff!!! This time from a video night long ago. Present were yours truly with a cell phone camera, Nils Markvardsen (editor of the film mag eXtase), Heine Sørensen (video collector since the late 70s), and Henrik Larsen (Obskuriøst magazine editor who went off in a different direction long ago soon after this night. Hey, Henrik, let's forget the past! Heine and I would love to hook up over coffee sometime).

I don't remember the films so this is really all that's left, LOL.

Obskuriøst #11 out now

This piece of news will have zilch interest to international readers but old Danish fanzine readers might like to know there's a new issue out of Henrik Larsen's Obskuriøst. With issue #11 Henrik makes a return to the old days of 16 page mags. Most of the contents deal with books & comic books this time. Obskuriøst #11 is only available as part of another mag; Himmelskibet #20. Get it here. And get a free addendum here. Obskuriøst #10 is available in free PDF form here. Obviously most of the text is in Danish.
