Look into these eyes and tell me you love me
Wauw!!! You know there are songs you hear in your youth and they just stay with you forever - even if you don't listen to them for years on end. For me once such track is GREEN ON RED's awesome "The Drifter" which I first heard via a live recording on a Danish radio station in the early '80s.
I taped it and played the tape over and over again. The song about being a drifter made me dream about leaving the camp (i.e. home) and piss off to faraway lands (which I later did). What I never knew was that the song is actually about... Ted Bundy!! Haha.
Diabolik from Uncut forum (aka Hans-Jørn Reimer) recently sent me the photo you see in the above and said, "recognise him?" and all it took was looking into those eyes. He appears to be reading a book ... but click the scan and you'll see he's looking right at YOU. Creepy beyond belief.
Thanks to Diabolik for the scan.

Killer toone on a Monday
Don't you just love the moment when a serial killer gets into your car and sings along to "Always on my Mind"?
Needless to say I chose a version that has Karaoke lines in Chinese (next to being an Aussie Londoner by heart I'm also fake Hongkongese).

Too cool for school!
PUSSY CANNIBAL HOLOCAUST!!!
I've never heard this band but the cover of their CD along with their name is too cool not to post regardless!! Info about them is scarce but one blog describe them as "primitive punk". Yeah, I believe that. The CD is from 2001 and they've probably broken up long ago and have become hausfraus or kindergarten teachers.
EDIT: Hmmm, all that Japanese writing confused me, haha. Apparently, "Pussy Cannibal Holocaust" is the title of the record, NOT the band. Bummer! That would have sounded much better than that real name which apparently is ANADOREI.
Thanks to Kenno for tracking down this video on the ol'e tube:
According to Discogs.com the band have released two albums and two 7 inch EP's:
"Pussy Cannibal Holocaust" - CD (Captain Trip Records, 2001)
"This is the beginning of the end" - CD (Captain Trip Records, 2006)
"We'll break male's fantasy fuck your myth of musculinity full of anger" - 7" (Captain Trip Records, 2002)
[untitled] - 7" (Freaked out frequencies, 2003)
You'll find the listing on Discogs here.

Elevator muzak?
It's been a while since I last bought some music so this week I scooped up a few titles from the local music pusher. Some of it I knew very well, some of it I already own on LP, and some of it I hated as a kid but thought I should give a chance. xD.
The Smiths: Hatful of Hollow (my first The Smith LP which I bought shortly after it came out. This version contains singles versions and radio recordings from The Peel Show, and it's better than their debut LP).
The Smiths: s/t
Morrissey: Bona Drag (wauw, imagine if some old geezer came up from the cellar at The Smiths' old record label and said "Bloody hell, I just found the mystical last Smiths album that was never released!". Well, that's how this Morrissey record sounds and how good it is. In my view anyway [and that's what counts here, haha]).
Morrissey: You Are the Quarry (fortunately it was very cheap, otherwise it'd be quite annoyed as I forgot I've already got a copy of it!).
Sex Pistols: Never Mind the Bollocks Here's the Sex Pistols (ordinary release without all the extra tracks. Fortunately! I want the original track list, goddammit!).
The Jimi Hendrix Experience: Are You Experienced (UK version)
Sonic Youth: Goo (original one cd version)
John Coltrane: Blue Train, Traneing in, Dakar (3 albums on one 2 disc release)
Miles Davis: Kind of Blue, Ascenseur Pour L'échafaud, Somethin' Else (3 albums on one 2 disc release)
P J Harvey: 4-Track Demos
P J Harvey: Rid of Me
Kent: En Plats i Solen
The Ventures: Guitar Freakout, Super Psychedelics (2 albums on one 1 disc release)
- and in addition to all the above Henrik Larsen was so kind as to send me a bucketful of 1980s heavy metal albums (on cd-r) and thanks a lot for those, Henrik!

Black Sabbath live Paris 1970
Just awesome!! From before Ozzy drank his brains out. From before they all started hating and suing each other. From before Ozzy began with his fucking hand clap and crazy look routine. From before they became asshole rock stars.
From Paris, 1970. I've listened to this four times in a row and I'm gonna listen to it again as soon as I finish this shit. Fucken awesome!!!

Kool toone on a Sunday
Here's a cool track by the awsome The Trashwomen (their name is a take on another cool surf band from the 60s called The Trashmen, in case you didn't know). I could play this all day. XD
Yeah yeah yeah I've posted it before but so sue me. This is too cool NOT to post again. :D

The undoubtedly coolest music video on YouTube!!!
When that day comes and those crook Russian ex KGB scientists finally get that time-machine into production I'll be buying a one-way ticked to 1983! And I'll tune it so every time we reach 1987 it'll automatically return to 1983!!!
In case you don't know: this is the best band every to grace this sorry-ass world; Melbourne's The Birthday Party (altho they relocated to Berlin).

Naked when you come
If I were in a garage rock band we'd cover this:
It sounds so simple and yet so full of melancholy and ending. From 1966.

Sandie Trash!!!
My God, Sandie Trash just entered my life!!! And now I wish I'd taken up French classes when I considered it back in school. I don't know anything about them other than they're only two members and sound fantastic! They have a pretty cool MySpace page here. Check it out! More later!

Der beste Seemann war doch ich
It's weird how different versions of a product can turn out so differently! MTV Denmark is just sooo boring but MTV Germany (+ Austria) is actually alright. Unfortunately, Danish MTV is as predictably mainstream as every fucking local radio station in Denmark. For instance, take an overly cool band such as Rammstein; This week German MTV is playing specials and live broadcasts three days in a row! I have never even seen o-n-e Rammstein video on MTV Denmark. And don't give me this: 'But they're German so obviously they're on German tv'. They are fucking famous everywhere! I'm sorry if you're a 13 y.o. Danish MTV viewer who thinks MTV DK is rad, cos I don't! I think it sucks. When Rammstein was playing tonight I switched over and Headbanger's Ball was on MTV DK with some heavy metal ZZ Top lookalike band that had a bunch of prostitutes on stage. Mein Gott, how come so many people think that is cool? Me, I'm sick to death with hores in music videos and this whole notion that paid sex is somehow 'cool'. No, it fucking ain't, asswhipe. And is it really that difficult to make music videos that are slightly more sophisticated, aye? I guess it takes more brains than your usual Headbanger's Ball band has (yes, I'm exaggerating so fucking sue me). It doesn't seem to be a problem to Rammstein though, nor whoever they hire to do their videos, I still have to see a bad Rammstein video! Yes, I know, a grumpy post, ha ha. My leg's getting better so everything is dandy. Oh except I got laid off today which is kinda interesting as that's never happened to me before. Oh well. It's not like I give a rat's ass, it was a crappy job anyway. Crappy pay, crappy work hours, crappy transportation back and forth, and crappy food. In total: Crappy! LOL. And then I haven't even mentioned all the times they tried to get away with not paying me what they owed me. Oh, well. What else is new in the world of Jack J?? Oh, yeah, I'm also so annoyed that I haven't got my stuff from DDDhouse yet. The good people, Johnny and Zse (I'm sure I misspelt that) sent if off three weeks ago but I still haven't received it which is a bummer!! I'm dead certain it's those fuck-faces at customs that are sitting on it. Or are spending time fondling each other's bottoms. Or something.
