NUSAINDAH : NEW YEAR, NEW LOOK

This is the look of our home garden this season.
Finally not so bare than before, or not too dense as usual.

A bit green after we cut down all high and slim tree on our front yard.
You can check our 'cutting time' here.

Our white Nusaindah or (Mussaenda phillipica) is growing so lush after cut down in the beginning of rainy season.

Both of flower and leaves are so dense.
Lovely...

We really like it...

Please enjoy this beautiful tropical plant from our tiny garden...

SAVE THE BEAUTY Of NUSAINDAH

We have two tiring day this week...
Yes ... the days to tidy up our garden.
Cutting, trimming...

It's really hard for me to see lots of beautiful plants are moved into compost bins.
They are too cute to be a compost heap soon.

So... I took both of Pink and White Nusaindah (Mussaenda phillipica), and then put them on a vase.
Just simple arrangement to decorate our living room.

Two different arrangement for two different day with the same flowers.
Just save the beauty...

My peach Nusaindah (Mussaenda erythrophylla) is full blooming.

This yellow flower is the true flower.

Look the true flower buds.
All parts are covered by delicate hairs, like as a velvet.

Please enjoy the beauty.
Have a wonderful weekend with your lovely family.

NUSAINDAH : THE PEACH IS BLOOMING

After a long time we have been looking for this variety, finally we found this peach variety of Nusa Indah (Bangkok Rose).
The name is similar with mine (hmmm...)
My family, especially my husband, really love this flower.
Last year, we had five varieties.
But the red and yellow varieties were died.
Now we have three plants remains.

We planted it from cutting stem in the end of August 2013.
I cut the stem from a plant on country road side after we visited our big family.

I'm not sure about the variety before.
We planted stems three varieties on three pots on the same place.
I forgot to put marking on the pots, so we didn't know which one is the peach variety.

This variety is so rare.
This is an old fashion ornamental plant.

Last Monday I when I was checking my raised beds on my back yard, I found this Nusa Indah was starting the blossom.

The color was too pale.
Look the little bud in the center....
The colorful part is modification of the leaves.

Like a velvet...
I can't wait to see the progress forward.

SAVE THE BEAUTY

Sitting on the garden bench...
Enjoy the day...
Enjoy the beauty of flowers and so many fragrance.

All that I see are beautiful.
I have no idea about the other.

When I noticed my nusaindah or Bangkok Rose, I found something that was bothering my sight.
There were some damaged leaves on it.
What's happen with my lovely plant?

Who was the suspect?

I was checking the whole plant to know the who was damaging my nusaindah.
Finally I found the suspect.
A little  brown caterpillar looked so enjoy a leaf.

This caterpillar is about 5 cm long and the diameter is about 1.5 cm

This caterpillar moved here... there... so fast.

I took the leaf, and then buried in the ground.
I wish there are no caterpillar attack again.
And I can enjoy the beauty more and more.
Save the plant... save the beauty...
