ENJOYING MARIGOLD ON THE ROADSIDE

KENIKIR KUNING AKA YELLOW MARIGOLD

Keep on eyes with this beautiful cheer color.

Love this multi beneficial plant in our garden.

We call this tagetes as Kenikir or Tai Kotok (Tagetes erecta).

A good plant for our organic garden.

Give benefit more than just its beauty.

One of the variety in our garden  that  blooming this current time.

THE LAST FRENCH MARIGOLD THIS SEASON

These  was the last french marigold patch in our tiny garden.

Actually we planted them as companion plant in cabbage and kale patch.

Just love the cheer color....

I should save the seeds for the next season.

Simply beauty...

We're so lucky there were no annoying snails that disturbing this patch

Finding this beautiful spot in front of the garage. 

Poor Marigold plants on the edge of the drive way.

But its beautiful flowers really cheering our messy front yard.

DRYING AREA : EXPANSION

Love to spend time here in our drying area.

We use to dry our wet clothes here.

We need more space to put some new plants, especially ornamental plants.

We moved here some plants from the backyard, after my husband reload the old fiber roof.

We also put four seedling tray on the corner to get best place for their growth.

Now... with the new fiber roof, the roof is much clear than before.

And we get more sun shine, great for the plants.

It seem like a green house... LOL

We also removed the old wooden chairs, and put a pair of chair here.

New atmosphere... 

Enjoy so many color of blooms here...

KENIKIR AKA MARIGOLD : INVITING BEE

I really love flowers...

Whatever it is... for me it's beautiful!

Marigold is one of my favorite flower plant.

I like both of the beauty and the benefit for our organic garden.

This year, I'm growing four varieties of marigold.

Here in Indonesia we call it as 'Kembang kenikir' or 'Tai kotok', caused by the smell of it crushed leaves.

Love to see the flowers in a row, on a mass planting.

The color is striking...

when we notice it, the flower is awesome...

All plant is grown from the seed.
Most of the seeds is collected from the roadside.

I like the simple flower...

 

I put  marigold plants here and there, in order to give more colors and cheering my tiny garden.

Front yard, back yard, raised bed, roof top... every single space is for marigold.

The flower is always inviting bees and butterflies

 

 

Last year, I bought eight varieties of marigold seeds from online  nursery.
Such a shame... there was no seed sprouted.

I want to collect more and more...

PREPARING FOR NEW 'FENCE'

Optimizing every single time and space for gardening...

Look... the planter 'box' on my front wall looks so poor.

 

The soil have less of nutrition, needs to be fertilized soon.

Pity plants...

Time to reload...

So messy...

I'm really lazy gardener

All plants should be handled earlier, before they all drought and died.

So... two weeks ago  I reload the planter.
Pulled out of the old plants

 

And planted the new plants here...

 

Marigold and coleus have planted here in the planter.

 

 Hoping they all will grow happy and healthy.
