PICKING ROSELLE

We have four Roselas or Roselle <Hibiscus sabdarifa> above the  gutter area.
They looks so productive, although they're grown in small pots.
Love their beautiful flowers and also red calyx looks so vibrant.
We use the calyx as syrup, tea or jam.
Lovely...
Thanks God...

GROWING ANNUAL HISBISCUS

First time growing this Hibiscus...

I got some seedlings and seeds from a health center several months ago.
Almost of the seeds have already sprouted and grew, but they were died caused by white flies.

Two seedlings that I planted looks grow so happy, but this one looks so lush.

We find the first bloom  several days ago.

So beautiful...

Lots of flower buds...

Hoping this plant will grow healthy and safe from bugs...

Thanks GOD...

RED BASIL : THE SECOND BATCH

This is my red basil, the one and only...

About two months ago I bought some vegetable and herb seeds from online nursery.
I bought a small pack of red basil 'Red Rubin'.
I sowed about five seeds, but only three seeds were sprouted.
From three seedlings, only two have established.

The seedlings have moved into individual pots.

A seedling is growing so healthy with reddish leaves, and another has spotted red green leaves.
The spotted leaves is almost similar to my old red basil that grown several years ago, we can check it here.

Hoping all will grow well here... and produce healthy seeds for the next season.

PICK THE HONEY...

The red color is so striking!
Kembang anting or sleepy hibiscus (Malvaviscus arboreus) on my eastern back yard finally blooming.

More sunshine, more flower...

Kembang means flower, and anting means ear-ring.

It's an old fashion plant, that usually grown as a flowering hedge on village.

When I was a young girl, I used to play bubble that made from the leaves that crushed and diluted on the water.

And this flower also has sweet 'honey'.
We really love to suck the honey from the base of the petal.
Back to the childhood...
