SAD ENDING STORY ....AGAIN

February 2... was a sad morning for us.

Our lovely fruit tree was collapsed.

After rain with the wind a long the night, we found our garden a bit mess.

But... we have never thought if our Ceremai tree (Phyllantus acidus) would fallen on to the ground.

This tree was about seven years old, the height was about six meters.
Grew on a 'tiny' pot ... of course... actually I should moved it on to bigger pot several years ago.

Look... the root have already came out from the pot and got in to the ground.

Some fruits still hanging on the branches.

Then we cut down this tree.

And let the base...

We will move it in to bigger pot soon...

The space looked a bit brighter.

We are lucky, we ... found some babies...

some new self grown trees have already for the 'next generation'.
Hoping they will grow well and being productive.

CEREMAI TIME...

This is our little ceremai tree (Phillanthus acidus) today.

Lots of little fruits hanging on the branches. So lovely.

Although the fresh fruit is sour, but great for candied fruit.

Thanks God.

CEREMAI... OH CEREMAI...

Our ceremai manis tree (Phyllantus acidus) is really lovely plant.

Look... it's growing so happy in a little pot.

Ah... a lazy gardener, it should be moved into a bigger pot.

Little fruits are hanging here and there.

So lovely...

This fruit is usually candied, cause the taste is so sour.

This is the sweet variety, but I'm not sure the taste is 'real' sweet.

A neglected plant with a bountiful fruits...

The fruit clusters are popping up from the bark.
The picture below was a cluster of fruits several weeks ago.

Its roots might be infiltrate into the ground.

Such a shame, lots of fruits fallen on to the ground.
I still have no idea with the fruits...
Thanks GOD

CEREMAI MANIS, TODAY

My little Ceremai Manis (Phyllanthus acidus) tree is growing well on the little pot.
When we notice the whole of the of tree, that's really unbalanced.
The tree looks so high and the pot looks so small.
But that's true...

I have to move the pot from the existing place into new place next to the wall.
This little tree collapsed almost every day, caused by overload.
Than I put this little pot into  a bigger pot as we can see on the picture above. The real pot is small like as the little pot beside.
I put some bricks and stones on this pot to keep the tree stand on.
I'm a real lazy gardener.
This plant should be moved into bigger pot soon.
I have not been adding more soil or compost in this since two years ago, so long.
How lovely, that this plant grows so well with all limitation.
You can see the plant before here.

Look the fruits also hanging on the leaf's stalk, under the leaves.

The fruits are becoming yellowish, looks so fresh.

Today, I found a fallen fruit.

Then I tasted the fruit, but I think it was unripen.
The taste was still too "astringent".

I should wait till the fruit get ripen, but I don't know when....

CEREMAI MANIS : A PROMISING SIGN

Such a lovely thing!
I get something that I really want it for a long time.
Yeah, I have been growing Ceremai manis (Phillanthus acidus) since four years ago.
Ceremai is well known as country gooseberry or star berry.
This is the second time the little tree fruiting.
The first fruiting time was about two years ago, but I haven't taste the fruit yet cause the down pour and fruit flies make the fruits have fallen before ripen.
I planted it on a medium pot, it might be too small, cause the tree is growing higher and higher.
These were the flower buds on September.

These were the flowers nearly blooming.

And here they are the little fruits today...

We only find the leaves on the top of the trunk, so high...
Looks like 'compete' with the pumpkin vine, passion fruit vine and also plumeria.

The slim and long trunk, with three little bunches of fruits.

This bunch is emerged from the bark.

A bunch of little fruits...

The size is so small, only 1-1,5 cm on diameter.
The common ceremai has sour taste, but this one is sweet variety.
I can't wait to see them get ripen and taste the unique fruits.
Mmmm... just imagine how the taste...
