BUNGA DESEMBER : TOO EARLY ?

A very surprise spot that I found this morning...
The 'Bunga Desember' or Blood lily (Haemanthus multiflorus
This is a view from our kitchen door.

This raised bed looks beautiful, both of Impatient and Bunga Desember are making this patch so interesting.

Bunga Desember should be blooming in December matched to its name.
But now is still in October.
Is it too early...?

It's popping up among the sweet potato and Daun Katu (Saorophus androgenus).
We can see our Bunga Desember last year here.

It haven't totally bloomed yet.

I love it...
Thanks GOD.

BUNGA DESEMBER : IT'S TOO LATE...

This is a view from our kitchen window this morning.

A long narrow raised bed next to the stone wall on our eastern backyard.
A striking color appear from this bed.
Aha... a lovely flower... Bunga Desember!

This flower is emerging from the ground among the Turmeric, Hibiscus and little citrus tree.
So beautiful!

Bunga Desember (Haemonthus multiflorus)  or December flower usually blooms on the early of rainy season, especially November and December.
You can see our December flower here.
But right now is January.
Actually, it's too late to be a December flower.

But I like it so much, thanks GOD!

IT'S THE REAL DECEMBER FLOWER

What a surprise...
When I was cooking in our kitchen, my eyes find a red tinge on the raised bed next to the kitchen.

A very interesting object, aha... it was a December flower.

A hidden beauty among the bitter gourd vines and zingiberaceae.

This plant usually blooming in November, but this year looks so perfect...
Our December flower is blooming in December.
You can see our first December flower that in bloom last year here.

A red 'firework' is really awesome.

My son looks in and observes this beautiful flower almost everyday.
Lots of questions that I have to answer.
A very interesting object emerged from the ground, after long time sleep along the dry season.

At least we can enjoy this red firework for more than a week.

A beautiful week...

BUNGA DESEMBER : FIRST BLOOMING

As a nice surprise...
Last Sunday, when I did weeding my raised beds on my eastern backyard, I found something interesting!

Yes... my 'Bunga Desember' or Blood Lily (Haemanthus multiflorus) was showing me its flower bud.
Bunga means flower, and Desember means December.

This flower usually bloom on the beginning of the rainy season, it happens during November until December every year.
But this is for the first time my Bunga Desember is blooming.

I grew three little bulbs about three years ago.
I guess, the bulb have already mature enough to produce the flower.
During the dry season this plant get dormancy, and start to grow on the beginning of rainy season.
On the mature bulbs, the flowers usually pop up first, then followed by the leaves.

Look my flower this morning...

The red ball among the ginger plant, so striking!

So beautiful...
I really love it!

What a shame that I only use phone camera, because my Android camera get trouble.

Whatever... please enjoy the beauty.
