I heard from one of the sisters, after my first George Maharis article appeared in the magazine! My RetroFan Magazine article with George is coming any day now! RetroFan Magazine issue #20
They forgot to mention....They told me they also saw Lon Chaney, Jr. out drinking at the pool of the O'Hare Inn with Martin Milner!

Dobie! Sorry to hear about Dwayne Hickman, fellow artist and star of one of the greatest comedy sitcoms! He passed at 87 on Maynard's (Bob Denver) birthday! He learned from the best during all of his early film and TV appearances, including The Bob Cummings show. He attributed his comedy delivery to his friend Jack Benny "Now cut that out!" I always enjoy his appearance in UPA's 1001 Arabian Nights (as Alladin), with Mr. Magoo. #rip #dwaynehickman

When you think of the late, great Roddy McDowell, you may not think of Rankin/Bass Productions, but did you know he has appeared in three of their productions? His first appearance was in Rankin/Bass' Cricket on the Hearth and then later in Rankin/Bass' The Return of the King and The Wind in the Willows.

I had a busy Tuesday night, interviewing my friend Ted "Teddy" Eccles (Thanks to his daughter Ashley!), for my RetroFan magazine article on The Little Drummer Boy for issue #24 (Out in December 2022!). Ted was the speaking voice for Aaron in the classic Rankin/Bass TV special and recorded his dialogue with my late friend Arthur Rankin, Jr.! We also discussed all of his great TV and film appearances, including his debut on the Shirley Temple Storybook hour, at age 5 as Christopher Robin in Bil and Cora Baird's Winnie the Pooh and his appearance as Milby Drysdale on the Beverly Hillbillies, which recently aired on Me TV. I also touched base with my friend Sid Krofft this morning and reconnected him with Ted, as he starred in Dr. Shrinker 😁 It's the most wonderful time of the year! 🦃 #thelittledrummerboy #teddyeccles www.miserbros.com
