Hope you Hugged a Veteran Yesterday! 8-)

Hi All! And a Very Happy Tuesday to you! I am back today with a Super Quick Post hat I meant to put it up Yesterday!! But have been a bit under the weather, and ended up bundled up on the couch with a big bowl of Home made chili and watched all kinds of military movies with my Darling Hubby, a retired Marine.. And as the saying goes, "Once a Marine, Always a Marine!" lol And completely forgot to do my post for the Card I made for him For Veteran's Day.. 8-)
I kept it pretty simple, more so than I usually do, but My DH has always advised me that when it comes to cards for Guys, less is more.. lol 8-) And even though I still feel like I need to add something more to this card, He absolutely Loved it.. So as long as it made his day, I am a happy camper! lol 8-)
For my Hubby's card I dug out my Verve American Hero set  and stamped my sentiment focal panel with Memento Tuxedo Black. I cut it out with the help of my Classic Squares Nesties set and added a touch of shading with Antique Linen Distress ink while the die was still in place, colored in the stars with a gold metallic gel pen, ( It actually looks more like gold IRL..lol.) and popped it up with a bit of foam tape.  My mats and BG layers were created with kraft CS from my stash and some Fun Patriotic dp's from K&Co's Americana Stack.  And to finish it all up, I added some hemp twine and a Marine appropriate dimensional sticker from K& Co.  Pretty easy peasy, huh?... 8-)

Hope you all had Terrific Veteran's Day and are having a Super Tuesday! Thanks for stopping by! 8-)

American Hero.. 8-)

Hi All! And a Very Happy Friday to you! Just one Question, Have you hugged a Veteran today? 8-) I sure have! Of course I have it pretty easy as My DH is what one might call a "retired" Marine..But, I don't actually think there is such a thing, since the saying goes," Once a Marine, Always a Marine! Semper Fi!"  8-)
Well, I made this card for My DH to first off, wish him Happy 236th Marine Corps Birthday and second,  to thank him for all he has done in service to our Country. And I sure hope you all will go out and Hug a Veteran today too and thank them for all they have done as well... I know they would greatly appreciate being remembered.

I actually got a lot of help on my card today from K&Co. They have some really great Armed forces type embellies.. So glad I picked up a couple of their Marines sets.. 8-) My mats and BG panels were made with a combo of kraft and red CS from my stash, my CB and Stars EF and dp's from K&Co's Americana Stack a well. My Eagle Globe and Anchor is a dimensional CS sticker also from K&Co that I matted up on a few more layers to give it that nice looking Award status and then popped it up with some foam tape. And to finish it all up I matted up a K& Co Marines embossed sentiment sticker and popped that up as well with a bit more foam tape.  Well, I sure hope he likes it, I hid it in his bag for work as a surprise.. Bethcha he thought I forgot.. lol  Can't wait to hear from him when he finds it.. 8-)

Hope you all have a Fabulous Day & Thanks so much for dropping by! 8-)

And my second card was created with the newly released Rhubarb's Stocking digi. Isn't he just the Sweetest little fella ever?.. Just so Cute with his Darling Christmas Stocking... Hmmm seems I have a theme going here.. lol.. Well I printed out my Sweet Rhubarb onto Flourishes Classic White and colored him up with my trusty Copics, of course..  cut out and matted him up and added a bit of shading to the edges with some Antique Linen Distress Ink and then embossed them for a nice clean look with my Score Pal. For my mats and BG pieces I used a combination of Kraft CS from my stash, a fun MS border punch and Signature Christmas dp's from MME. To finish it all up, I stamped my Sweet 'n Sassy Sentiment with Memento Tuxedo black onto a little hand cut tag, popped up my Darling image panel with a bit of foam tape, added some seam binding ribbon, a couple Die-namic Snowflakes and a few Sweet adhesive pearls.Pretty easy peasy, huh... 8-)

For You! 8-)

Hi All! Happy Friday to you! Can't believe I haven't posted a single thing since this past Monday! Just Terrible, I tell ya! 8-) Well, I think since I posted almost every day of last week that I thought I would slow down the pace just a bit this week to balance it out some.. Lol... Today I just have Super quick post to share one of my latest creations and play along with the 2nd week of Cupcake's Creations CR84FN #39, while I was at it....

I created this fun little Fall card for my Mom's Birthday, sure hope she has received it by now.. I usually make her some type of floral card, and thought I would do something a bit more whimsical this time for a change.. She's not really into anything frilly or super girly, so I kept it pretty simple and I kept the Fall colors that she loves so much. I hope she likes it.

I stamped my Fun little I/O Spooky Cupcake image by Leigh Hannan onto Flourishes Classic White with Memento Tuxedo Black and colored it up with my trusty Copics. I cut out and layered my cupcake with the help of my Classic Circles and Scalloped Circles Nesties sets. I shaded my image with a touch of Antique Linen Distress Ink while my die was still in place and then popped my matted Cupcake up with a few dimensionals.  For my Mats and BG layers I chose a combination of some fun dp's from K & Co., Bo Bunny, and a small strip from MME as well. To finish it all up, I stamped my I/O sentiment directly onto my BG with Memento Tuxedo Black, added a few tiny gold gems, a touch of Stardust Stickles, some cheery yellow ribbon, and a cute little button all tied up with some Yummy bakers twine from  MAD Stamper Finds!.. Pretty easy peasy, huh... 8-)

Hope you all have a Fantastic day & thanks so much for dropping in!
