Hero Arts Blooming Heart...

Hi All! And a Very Happy Friday to you! Hope you all have had a Fabulous week so far.  I took a bit of a break from stamping and posting this week, at least as compared to last week, lol.. I went and spent some time with my BFF up in San Jose, we had a blast as always.. 8-)  Well today I'm back with my latest creation... Does anyone out there in blogland keep a binder full of card ideas that you eventually want to create or make a variation of.. Well I have 2 of them, completely chocked full, lol.  I now however, keep these types of crafty ideas on my Pinterest boards.. So now I only print them out when I intend to actually sit down and create them! Gotta Love that! 8-) Well, this particular card is one of the ones I stashed away in one of my Binders and have completely CASED it! lol..
Well, maybe I did change up the ink, I used Aged Mahogany Distress ink instead of Red, lol.. But the entire design is from an example I saw in an old Hero Arts Catalog, that unfortunately I no longer see the pdf for on their site anymore.. But I can tell you that I used the Friend Definition and Blooming Heart stamps. I stamped the Blooming Heart image all over my card base with Aged Mahogany Distress ink and then stamped my main focal panel with the Friends Definition stamp also with Aged Mahogany. I inked and scored my edges for a nice clean look and then matted it up with some white CS from my stash. After my main focal panel had completely dried, I stamped my Blooming Heart image with frost white pigment ink over the friend definition and embossed it using white opaque EP. And to finish it all up, I just added a few sweet adhesive pearls. 8-)

Hope you all have a Wonderful Friday & thanks so much for dropping by!

Merry Christmas Everyone! 8-)

Hi All! And a Very Merry & Blessed Christmas to you! 8-) Today, I thought I would sneak one last post in with the last of my Christmas cards, real quick like though, cause I've  gotta pack up all my baked goodies to take to the Fire Station and continue with the Merry Making there..8-)
This one was pretty quick & easy to put together with the help of my Postage Stamp & Layered Poinsettia Nesties sets. The dp's are from MME's Holly Jolly set and I added a touch of Vintage photo distress ink to my edges. To finish it all up, I stamped my Hero Arts Sentiment, added a bit of ribbon from my stash and a few gold pearls for a bit of bling. 8-)

This one was Super Quick too and was inspired by Kristina Werner's Adorable Card Here from her Holiday Card Series. I tell ya, she has such Adorable ideas and quick too! But alas, I have run out of time for this year, will just have to save them for next year.. lol 8-). I used SU's Stocking Builder punch and Stamp Set with SU's Cherry Cobler , Old Olive, and Pool inks, a bit of Yummy bakers twine, a tiny little gem, a few dimensionals, and my white gel pen that kept trying to get away from me, lol and Voila! my card is finished.. Pretty easy peasy, huh?.. 8-)

Merry Christmas Everyone! & Thanks so much for dropping in! 8-)

I will be doing my Happy dance for sure once it's back on..lol  Okay, onto this weeks Fabulous Sweet Stop Sketch #137:

And here's my take on it.. I pretty much stayed spot on with Mis Korin's Awesome Sketch..8-)

I saw this little Cutie at Stitchy Bear Stamps and thought he was just way too Adorable to pass up.. all bundled up in his little snow suit. I could help but chuckle out loud, so I had to snatch him up. 8-)  Well, I printed him out onto Flourishes Classic White and did a little paper piecing for his snow suit and hat. I colored up the rest of him and added some shading too with my trusty Copics. I added a few emboss resist  Flourishes snowflakes.. First I embossed my snowflakes with White EP and then very lightly sponged on a bit of Tumbled Glass Distress inks over top and created my Sweet snowy scene. cut out and matted up my Sweet little fellow, with the help of my Classic Rectangles and Scalloped Rectangle Nesties sets and popped him up with a few dimensionals. For my Mats and BG layers I chose a combinations of kraft CS from my stash and dp's from MME's Holly Jolly collection. To finish it all up, Inked all my edges with Vintage Photo distress ink, I stamped my Hero Arts sentiment, which I can't seem to find in their store right now, with Memento Rich Cocoa onto a matted up die cut oval, added a bit of Ribbon from my stash, a touch of Stardust Stickles here and there,  a fun little die-namic snowflakes topped with a cute little button, all tied up with some Yummy Bakers twine from MAD Stamper Finds. 8-)
I hope you can play along with us at The Sweet Stop! Flying By to Say Hi!

Hi all! And a very happy Friday to you! Today I have a real quick post to share a couple fun Halloween cards that I plan on sending out to some friends and family this year. They were super quick and easy, thanks to Taylor Usry's Fabulous design tip on how to create faux panels over at the Sweet 'N Sassy Connection!  Thanks so much Miss Taylor! 8-)

For my card I used my fun Whipper Snapper Witch from The Witch is In set and a Hero Arts sentiment.
The purple, black and white CS are all from my stash.  I stamped my little Witch using Memento Tuxedo black and shaded with a little Dusty Concord Distress ink and cut out and matted her up with the help of my Classic Ovals and Scalloped ovals Nesties sets. For my faux panel, I used Memento Tuxedo Black for both the shading and the stamped image and followed Taylor's Fabulous tutorial. to finish it all up I popped up my image with a few dimensionals, stamped my sentiment with Memento Tuxedo black, added some black gems and a fun little button all tied up with some yummy Bakers Twine from MAD Stamper Finds.  See, super easy peasy!  8-)
Here is another variation that I came up with while deciding which ink combo to use.. 8-)

Anyway, you can definitely use this technique for just about any occasion, and I 'm already thinking Thanksgiving, Christmas, Birthday's etc..lol.. Yay! Not to mention it's Super helpful to make up Terrific looking cards quickly and easily which is really helpful when creating multiples! 8-)

Hope you all have a Fabulous day & Thanks so much for dropping by!

Tropical Father's Day...

Hi all! Hope you are enjoying your weekend!  Well I got all my projects for the week finished! Hurray! And will start on the ones for next week tomorrow, one day ahead of schedule.. LOL  Yay! Little things make me happy.  I like being ahead of the game, even if it is only a day...8-)

For my last project of the week, I decided to play along with the fabulous ladies of Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge #121, to make a Father's Day card.  This one is for my Darling Hubby.  It's One of his favorite wishes to one day be able to just relax in a hammock on his own little tropical island.  So I figured, since getting him his own tropical island was a bit out of my budget this year, lol, this card would be just perfect for him...

I wanted to get a bit creative with this card, So I used regular old brown kraft CS from my stash to start with for both my image panel and my BG panel too.  For my BG I started off by stamping my brown kraft first with Hero Arts Envelope Pattern and Tea Dye Distress ink and then with Flourishes Antique Map and Memento Rich Coco and used my Pealed Paint and Tumbled Glass Distress inks to add some color and shading.  For my image panel I started off by stamping my brown kraft with Hero Arts Envelope pattern and Hero Arts La Lettre on top of it using Tea Dye Distress ink for both. Then I stamped my Flourishes Beach Life images with Memento Rich Coco and colored it up with my trusty Copics and the help of a white Prismacolor pencil. I inked all my edges with Tea Dye Distress ink and matted everything up with some forest green and teal blue CS from my stash and popped both panels up with dimensionals.  To finish it all up, I stamped my Flourishes sentiment with Memento Tuxedo Black directly on to my BG panel and added a bit of hemp twine and a fabulous shell button.  I sure hope he likes it. 8-)

Hope you all are enjoying  your weekend & thanks so much for dropping by!

Check out these beautiful colors they chose for us to play with this week.

Aren't these colors just super pretty or what!  8-)  Well, I sure thought so, and they just so perfectly reflected the beautiful sunny weather we've been having here the last few days that I just had to create something sunny and cheerful too.

My Hero Arts Sentiment was stamped with Memento Rich Coco onto layered Ovals and a Scalloped Oval that I made up with my Nesties sets and a bit of CS from my stash. I inked the edges up with Antique Linen Distress Ink and popped it up with some dimensionals.  for my BG Layers I chose a combination of  kraft CS from my stash and some beautiful digi DP from Sassy Designs' Heirloom collection. I added some texture & dimension with the help of my CB and the victorian embossing folder and then added a fun little corner details with my Corner Chomper.  My sweet butterflies were cut with my Cricut using the Bloom cartridge and then blinged up with a few adhesive pearls. To finish it all up, I added a bit of ivory seem binding ribbon, a fun little button, hemp twine and a few more pretty adhesive pearls for the corners. 8-)
