リビアばかりか、フランスはやはりシリアでも積極的に軍事支援を反政府勢力に対して行ってきている、ということが明らかになってきた。

その捕虜をやはり隠密にフランスに戻してもらうため、こともあろうに対シリア制裁を決める国連安保理決議で拒否権を行使したロシアなどに仲介を願い出ているそうだ。果たしてロシア、あるいはシリアがすんなりとこの捕虜をフランスに返すものであろうか？　この問題に対処するためであろうか、フランス大使が急遽、ダマスカスへ23日に戻っているという。

フランスがなぜこのような羽目に陥ることになったのかと考えると、これはリビアの時にうまくいったことが、シリアでもうまくいく、と判断したことからくる間違いだったと思われる。

リビアでもやはり反体制派に武器や資金を供給したが、そこには更にロシアなどが棄権したため安保理で可決された反体制派に対する支援が可能となった事実があり、そのためNATO軍機が爆撃までして応援したことが大きかったが、シリアではロシア・中国が拒否権を行使し、さらにシリア内では、アサド政権に対する信頼があり、少数の不満分子はいても、大方のシリア人は外国勢力がシリア問題に介入し、リビアのような血みどろの紛争に発展することは反対、という意見でまとまっていたからであろう。

もしも3月4日のロシアの大統領選挙でプーチンが大統領に選出されたら、プーチンはこのフランスの要請を受け入れるとは思えない（と思いたい）。サルコジのようなユ○ヤ人が何を約束しても、それを平気で裏切ることは目に見えているのだから、ここは断固としてフランス人兵士の捕虜を公開したらどうであろうか？
