Now onto the fun stuff. The giveaway. As promised 30 days ago, I am going to have a teacosy made by 'moi' as a giveaway. All you have to do is choose 10 words or more from the list of words below and create a crafty poem to win the prize. The winner will be drawn randomly from the pool of entries so there's no need to worry about whether you are in the same league as Shelley, Keats or Byron. I'm more like Shakespeare myself (husband would be cacking himself at the thought) so it's lucky I'm not entering...
I haven't posted a picture of the teacosy prize yet as it is not quite finished but if you want to get a bit of a feel for what it looks like then take a look at this post here... I will post a photo in a few days once it's finished. It's been so much fun to make!
Entries will be drawn on Sunday 8th of November and I will make allowances for international time differences. Leave your poems as comments on this post below. I'll put a direct link to it in my left side bar so you can find it later. I'm really, really looking forward to seeing what you all come up with!
A special thanks must go out to Tinniegirl too, for organising blogtoberfest. Thanks Cathy, it's been great and I've had a lot of fun!

I'm up for the challenge...I'm a bit of a Shelley actually ;)
The hardest butt dreams of vintage craft.
Give it to me, inspired seamstress,
dazzling angel, confused creativity.
Thanks for the great giveaway...that was fun!
Samantha
oh my goodness.
Lily sat under the beetroot tree
sipping her cup of pioneer tea
a seamstress of soul
wild dreams circle full
inspired she was to be
eh.
i like your tea cozy - it's wild :)
Oh no! I didn't see it had to be ten words!
Don't worry about it Elizabeth. I'm not fussed! Your Haiku is great
poverty circles

a history gone from your soul
dream angels instead

oh what a sweet cosy giveaway, please count me in..
'stitching, knitting, crochet i do..
love to recycle vintage too'
First of all I have to acknowledge that the writing of this poem has been a family process - my partner, my son & I all sitting in bed with the laptop in the middle of the night (15 minutes to midnight here in Perth) have all contributed... so here it is with just moments to spare:
To inspire the soul
On three hours sleep
Is the hardest thing
The poverty of creativity
The poet's craft eludes
Like a dream bird
In the tree of knowledge
Damning my junk
Also - my son (2yrs old) would like to know why the tea pot is wearing fancy dress?
the SEAMSTRESS sat under the tree to take her FRESH cup of TEA
and soon after fell asleep...
where she was INSPIRED by DREAMs of the PIONEERS of CREATIVITY who fed their SOULs with CRAFT and sang as ANGELs...
as she awoke, she still heard the song and it was a BIRD in a branch above
sorry for the late entry but thanks so much for offering this challenge! it was fun to string the words together =-)
