31 Day Challenge: Day 18

Hey guys =) Here is a quick post of Day 18, HALF MOON nails. For this manicure I used Konad Pastel Purple as my base color, then I painted the moons using Flor Mar Miracle Colors U33. I used Flor Mar Supermatte m120 & Pastel #82 for the roses, and Essence Trust In Fashion & P2 Artful for the leaves. I also used white acrylic paint for the stripes.

From The Vault: Sephora Diving In Malaysia

I obtained this polish about two months ago, on my birthday; but I never got around to sit down and take pictures.
Sephora Diving In Malaysia has become famous day by day for being a cheaper alternative for Chanel's Peridot. I don't own Peridot, but from the comparison pictures I've seen online, I can say that they're really close. Peridot might have more green around the edges though, plus it's rather chrome than metallic.

Here I'm wearing two coats of Diving In Malaysia. It's not exactly what I expected, most of the time it looks old gold, the duochrome effect barely shows up. I expected more of a pale gold-green shift, which is always visible. The consistency is great, though; you're good to go after two coats. There are minimal brushstrokes, most of them disappear when the nails are dry.

Bu ojeyi iki ay kadar önce, doğumgünümde almıştım; fakat bir türlü sürüp resmini çekmeye fırsat bulamadım. Sephora Diving In Malaysia Chanel Peridot'un ucuz bir alternatifi olarak günden güne ün kazandı. Peridot bende yok, ama internette gördüğüm karşılaştırma resimlerine bakacak olursam, çok yakın olduklarını söyleyebilirim. Ama sanki Peridot'un kenarlarında biraz daha yeşil yanardöner etki var, bir de yapısı metalikten çok krom gibi geldi bana. Bu resimlerde tırnaklarımda 2 kat var. Tam olarak resimlerde görüp beğendiğim gibi olmadı tırnağımda; ben daha açık, daha soluk bir altın rengi beklemiştim, ayrıca kenarlardaki yeşil yanardöner etkinin her an görünür olacağını düşünmüştüm. Fakat öyle değil, yanardöner etki mevcut ama oje çoğu ışıkta yeşilimsi altın rengi gözüküyor. Kedi gözü rengi de diyebiliriz. Aslında çok güzel bir oje ama sanırım Peridot'un bazı resimleri beklentimi biraz yükseltti. Kıvamı çok güzel yalnız, tek katta bile opak oluyor. İki kat sürünce daha iyi oldu ama. Fırça izlerinin çoğu ise oje kuruyunca kayboldu. Sephora Diving In Malaysia sadece Avrupa'daki Sephora mağazalarında var bildiğim kadarıyla, ben 5 ml'lik şişesini 11 TL'ye aldım. Eğer Avrupa dışında bir ülkeye gönderim yapan bu ojenin satıldığı bir site biliyorsanız yorumlara yazabilirsiniz, ben de yazıya eklerim bu bilgiyi. Pazartesi günü işe başlayacağım için odamda büyük bir temizlik harekatı başlattım, 3 gündür bununla uğraşıyorum, canım çıktı! NOTD: Blue Garnet

Hello everyone =) Today I discovered these new Flor Mar Supershine Miracle Colors polishes at a Flor Mar kiosk. There were four of them, but one of them was purple and I'm a bit tired of dark purple sparkle polishes. I got the other three, but maybe I will get that one, too, since I like these so much.
I couldn't believe my eyes when I was holding U33 in my hands. It's a mind blowing polish, strong teal/purple duochrome sparkle. And on top of that, it's not only visible in the bottle, but also on the nail. It makes me think of a Sally Hansen Garnet Lapis with sparkle formula.

Please note that my Full HD camera, Sanyo Xacti, makes the hands look very funny, I mean funny as in "inhumanly bright and saturated". But it's the only camera I own that captures the colors & duochrome effect accurately. The following pictures are all of the same polish, U33:

The other polishes are not this interesting, but they're beautiful nevertheless. U30 is the darker version of Orly It's Not Rocket Science, think about China Glaze Wagon Trail with sparkle formula. The other polish, U32 is a dark fox red sparkle, it's very spicy and fall-appropriate.

U30 is the darker sister of INRS. I can definitely see them combined in one manicure.
These new colors strongly reminded me of China Glaze Rodeo Diva polishes. Am I right or am I right?
I don't know about the availability of Flor Mar polishes in your country, but if you can find these, please get them! They are amazing, like Zoya Wicked & Sparkle collections extended =)
I'm sorry if you desperately need to get your hands on these polishes, I have big trouble smuggling polishes out of the country. I hope this meaningless law is changed soon.

Herkese merhaba arkadaşlar =) Bugün Maltepe Carrefour'da bu yeni Flor Mar Supershine Miracle Colors ojelerini farkettim. Sanırım 4 tane yeni oje gelmiş, bir tanesi mordu ve ben biraz bıktığım için mor olanı pas geçtim. Ama aldıklarım o kadar güzelmiş ki, belki bir sonraki sefere onu da alırım...
U33 ojesini gördüğümde gözlerime inanamadım, çenem resmen yere düştü. Flor Mar çok cesur işler yaptı son birkaç ayda, bu ojeyi ise kendilerinin ustalık eseri olarak addediyorum. Resmen aklım uçtu, yeşilimsi mavi ve mor, yanardöner, ışıltılı yapıda bir oje. Önce tırnağımda yanardöner etki gözükmez sandım ama gayet gözüküyor. Özellikle tırnak çemberindeki resme dikkat edin, aynen o şekilde duruyor tırnakta.
Bu tarz ojeleri Sanyo Xacti kameramla çekiyorum, o da ne yazık ki ten rengini çok feci gösteriyor, resmen sarı kırmızı. (Öykü'nün itiraz edeceğini sanmıyorum =) Ama renkler olabildiğince gerçekçi çıktı. İlk üç resim aynı ojeye ait. İlkinde teal hali, sonra aradaki hali ve en son olarak da mor hali gözüküyor.
Aldığım diğer iki renk bu derece ilginç değil, fakat yine de çok güzel. U30, Orly It's Not Rocket Science ile çok benziyor, fakat daha koyu renkli hali. Diğer oje olan U32 ise, bakırımsı bir kırmızı ama oldukça koyu, tam sonbaharlık.
Bunlar henüz her yerde yok sanırım, ama bulursanız mutlaka alın, özellikle U33'ün eşini benzerini görmedim, efsane =)

NOTD: Essence Out Of My Mind

Hey guys =) Today I'm wearing Essence Out Of My Mind, which is a strong teal-green duochrome with strong green shimmer. It's a bit sheer, I applied 3 coats to eliminate VNL.
I think this polish is pretty unique among the other teal-green metallic looking polishes. Most of those polishes are clearly teal, with a hint of green. But Out Of My Mind has such a strong green shimmer, it's actually green with a hint of teal. I showed you Inglot #644 a few months back, and they're similar in terms of hue, being more green than teal. But Inglot is darker, more metallic and less duochrome. I love the green shimmer of Out Of My Mind, makes it look metallic without showing any brush strokes.

I got this one when I was in Munich a month ago, and it's a perfect match for my Nintendo 3DS in Aqua Blue ^-^ While I was getting this polish, my brother said: "OK. Now you just got this one because it matches your 3DS, right?" And he rolled his eyes. And I was trying to justify myself like: "Oh no! Gorgeous color! Unique! Blah blah!" =D Well, we all know he's right.

Selam =) Bugün tırnaklarımda Essence Out Of My Mind var. Turkuaz-yeşil arası, güçlü yeşil ışıltıya sahip bir oje. Biraz şeffaf olduğu için 3 kat sürdüm.
Bu ojenin benzer renkte ojelerden oldukça farklı olduğunu düşünüyorum. Diğer turkuaz-yeşil arası metalik ojelerin çoğu aslında turkuaz olup çok az bir yeşil içeriyor. Out Of My Mind ise oldukça yeşil ağırlıklı, hatta bariz bir yeşil ışıltıya sahip. Yani hafif turkuaza bakan yeşil diyebiliriz. Birkaç ay önce Inglot #644 ojesini göstermiştim, renk tonları çok yakın, ikisi de turkuazdan çok yeşile bakıyor. Ama Inglot biraz daha koyu, daha metalik ve daha az yanardöner etkiye sahip. Out Of My Mind içindeki yeşil ışıltı çok güzel, ojenin metalik gibi gözükmesini sağlıyor. Ama gerçek bir metalik oje gibi fırça izi de göstermiyor.
Bu ojeyi geçtiğimiz ay Münih'deyken almıştım. Nintendo 3DS Aqua Blue ile inanılmaz uydular birbirlerine =) Ben bu ojeyi alırken kardeşim: "Şimdi bunu sırf Nintendo'ya uyuyor diye almıyorsan ne olayım." dedi, tabi gözlerini devirerek. Ben de "Ehe yok canım ne alakası var renk ne kadar mükemmel baksana kem küm..." gibi bir yorum yaptım. Ama hepimiz biliyoruz ki asıl neden gerçekten gizli gizli "Hehe elimdeki konsolla aynı renkte tırnaklarım olsa ne güzel olur" diye düşünmemdi =)

NOTD: Shattered Chameleon

Today I have some awesome polishes to show you =) Too bad my nails are ridiculously short. After taking these pictures, I've shortened them even more to make them square & even. My left middle nail was torn so badly, that it had 2 different layers on the tip. It finally past the free edge, so I could shorten it without there is blood =)


Turkish brand Alix Avien has recently released Nail Deco polishes, which crackle like OPI Black Shatter =) I would call them dupes, because they crackle the exact same way. There are four colors; black, pink, dark blue and white.
I've also discovered a local brand polish, called Elite. I got #407, which looked like a regular sheer polish with pink flash at first sight. But then I discovered it's a gorgeous blue/purple/pink multichrome, a true chameleon. I layered 2 coats over black and here is what I got:


Awesomeness. This camera captured the pink and purple better, but the other cam captured mostly the blue in it. I'm thinking about layering it over Orly Lunar Eclipse, to get the bottle look.

Finally I layered a moderately thick coat of Alix Avien Nail Deco in Black.


I know the picture quality is bad, but you get the idea. I love how blue/purple/pink multichrome shows through the shattered black polish!

Bugün sizlere göstereceğim iki muhteşem ojem var =) Tırnaklarımın komik derecede kısa olması çok kötü oldu tabi. Bu resimleri çektikten sonra daha da kısalttım tırnaklarımı, en azından aynı boya gelmiş oldular. Sol elimin orta tırnağı öyle bir kırılmıştı ki, iki farklı tabaka vardı bir haftadır tırnağımda. En sonunda ucundan biraz uzadı da törpüleyebildim =)
Alix Avien Nail Deco ojeleri sürdü piyasaya, bilmeyen kaldı mı bilmiyorum. OPI Black Shatter'ın aynısı diyebilirim siyah için, çünkü tamamen aynı görünümde oluyorlar çatlayınca. Dört renk var; siyah, lacivert, pembe ve beyaz. İlginizi çekiyorsa Taksim Erkul Kozmetik'ten alabilirsiniz.
Ayrıca Elite diye bir oje markasının #407 no'lu ojesini keşfettim. Şişede pembe sedefli şeffaf oje gibi duruyordu, ama iyi ki kapağını açıp bir bakmışım. Mavi/mor/pembe yanardöner renklere sahip bir oje, başka bir rengin üzerine sürdüğünüzde bakmaya doyamıyorsunuz. Siyah üzerine 2 kat sürdüm ben de, bakın nasıl oldu:
Muhteşem bir oje. Bu kamera daha çok mavi ve moru yakaladı, diğer kamera ise çoğunlukla maviyi. Bunu Orly Lunar Eclipse üzerine sürmeyi düşünüyorum, şişede gözüken rengi tam olarak yakalayabilmek için.
Bu da baş parmağım, başka bir açıdan. Mavi burada daha belirgin.
Son olarak, bu rengin üzerine orta kalınlıkta Alix Avien Nail Deco Siyah sürdüm.
Biliyorum resim kalitesi pek iyi değil, ama bir fikir veriyor. Yanardöner mavi/mor/pembe siyah ojenin çatlakları arasından çok güzel gözüküyor, beğendim!

Turkish Nail Bloggers Meeting

Hey guys =) Thursday evening, us four Turkish nail bloggers met and had so much fun. We ate, laughed and talked about so many things. I even painted some nails & drew things with acrylic paint!

I used acrylic paint from Born Pretty Store and drew the petals using a thin brush. Then she used glitter similar to China Glaze Techno to amp it up a bit =) This manicure was inspired of this manicure by Ophelie.

This is Zuzu's manicure, I drew random doodles on her nails with yellow acrylic paint:


Finally, here is my own manicure, Nubar Indigo Illusion with rhinestones on top.


By the way, one of my nails was torn so badly, (almost halfway across the nailbed) that I felt like I had to wear some artificial nails while it grows out a bit. I will post about my artificial nails very soon =)

Perşembe akşamı 4 Türk tırnak blog yazarı olarak buluştuk. Çok güzel bir akşamdı; bol bol yedik, güldük, konuştuk =) Oje sürüp desen bile yaptım üstelik!
Resimde saat yönünde yukarıdan aşağıya: Youknow, Zuzu, ben ve Nemo var. Youknow'un tırnaklarına siyah oje üzerine akrilikle pembe çiçekler çizdim. Ortalarında da taş var, birazcık da sim sürdük. Zuzu'nun tırnaklarında Flor Mar #398 var, bu resim çekildikten sonra sarı akrilik boya ile çeşitli şekiller yaptım. Öykü de fanatik Galatasaraylı olduğu için, yolu buralara düşerse ona sarı kırmızı yapacağım bundan =))) Benim tırnaklarımda Nubar Indigo Illusion üzerine çeşitli taşlar var, son olarak Nemo'da Essie Going Incognito var, desensiz. Vakit olsaydı da ona da birşeyler çizseydim keşke...
Bu arada inanılmaz kötü bir tırnak kazası yaşadım, bir tırnağım neredeyse yarısından itibaren yırtıldı yatay olarak =/ Bu yüzden o tırnak biraz kendine gelene kadar bari takma tırnak takayım dedim. Takma tırnaklarımı gösteren yazım çok yakında =)

NOTD: Stellare Notte

Sorry for the lack of updates lately. I feel uninspired, so I decided to give myself a little break & stop being harsh on myself. I hate those days, when none of the 450 polishes you own seems to be working out!
Today's manicure is Borghese Stellare Notte, which is a gift from my friend Elizabeth. Thank you so much for all the trouble you went through while collecting all the things I wanted from the States, you made me so happy =)
Borghese Stellare Notte is a duochrome metallic polish. It looks like oil slick in the bottle, but what transfers on the nail is a strong purple & teal duochrome. In most lights I saw blue and teal, but in my lightbox I could only capture the purple, sorry for that. My pictures are totally not doing any justice to this duochrome goodness, that's why I will dedicate another post to Stellare Notte in the future.



The design is from plate bm03, and the stamping polish is Golden Rose Nail Art #107. I also used lilac rhinestones.
I'm sorry this post is really short, it's because I have a headache. But I have very nice polishes to show you, stay tuned =)

Son günlerde biraz ihmal ettim burayı, farkındayım. Biraz ilham gerekiyor belki de. 450 tane ojem var ama öyle bir gün oluyor ki, bir şekilde sürdüğüm ojeyi yakıştıramıyorum ya da direk beceremiyorum =) Bu yüzden bir süre kendime acımasız davrranmamaya, mükemmeliyetçi olmamaya karar verdim.
Borghese Stellare Notte, bana arkadaşım Elizabeth'in hediyesi. Şişede sanki suyun üzerindeki petrol tabakası gibi, gökkuşağının tüm renkleri gözüküyor neredeyse. Tırnakta ise, mor/petrol mavisi arası duran, yanardöner, metalik bir oje. Bu ojenin internette gördüğüm çoğu resminde petrol mavisi baskın, ben de tırnakta çoğunlukta o rengi gördüm ama ne hikmetse kameramla sadece mor halini yakalayabildim.
Desen Bundle Monster bm03 diskinden, desen ojesi ise Golden Rose Nail Art #107. Ayrıca lila taşlar kullandım.
Bugün böyle kısa kısa yazdım çünkü başım ağrıyor. Ama sizlere gösterecek çok güzel ojelerim var, beklemede kalın =)

NOTD: Bad Fairy

Today I'm going to show you MAC Bad Fairy.
MAC Bad Fairy is a red/magenta/copper duochrome polish with shimmery, flake-like particles; think about Orly Cosmic and Zoya Sparkle polishes, the finish is very similar to them.
Application was 4 coats. I could probably get away with 3, but I did 4 to cover the mistakes, because this polish is very unforgiving.
I respect MAC as a brand, but I totally hate their polishes. The price is too high for this quality. The brushes are bad, the consistency is, well, inconsistent; I threw away On The Prowl after trying to apply it for a third time. Light Affair had a better formula, but still very, very chalky and thick; I hated to apply it. And now Bad Fairy is so runny, it pools on the sides of the nail right away. The first coat went on so sheer, but I was ready for that. What I wasn't expecting was that the polish simply dragged itself. The third stroke on the first coat wiped everything away. And it's already sheer! Plus, if the coat before is not dry to touch, you can't apply a second coat. My right thumb never dried throughly, and I had to reapply for like 3 times. Plus, if you touch the polish by accident, you will most likely wipe every coat off from that area that lies underneath. Like I said, the polish is unforgiving and doesn't let me fix any mistake.
I'm going to stop ranting and leave you with the pictures. At least the color is nice.

I'm sure many people couldn't get their hands on this polish, but the formula is really troublesome and if you're not that patient with your application, maybe you're better off without it. I suggest you to get OPI Show Must Go On!, as it's a nice alternative, even if not a dupe. And I'm sure it has better formula.

Bugün MAC Bad Fairy'i göstereceğim.
MAC Bad Fairy kırmızı/pembe/bakır arasında renk değiştiren yanardöner bir oje. Yapısı Orly Cosmic koleksiyonuna ve Zoya Sparkle koleksiyonuna benziyor, yani içinde küçük, cam kırığı gibi ışıltılar var.
Şu an 4 kat sürülmüş halini görüyorsunuz. Aslında 3 katta opak oluyor ama sürümü o kadar yorucu ve zor ki, bazı hataları düzeltmek için 4 kat sürmek zorunda kaldım.
MAC'e marka olarak saygım olsa da; fiyatları o kadar uçuk ki, özellikle ojelerinin. 25 Lira verilen bir ojenin formülü, fırçası bu kadar kötü olmamalı. Daha önce Hello Kitty koleksiyonundan On The Prowl isimli ojesini almıştım, o kadar berbat bir ojeydi ki resmen üçüncü denemeden sonra acımadan çöpe attım. İnceltici bile döktüğüm halde üstelik, o kadar kötüydü yani. Sonra Light Affair, sözde düzeltilmiş formülüyle beni hayal kırıklığına uğrattı. Kireç gibiydi ve sürümü beni delirtti. Şimdi de Bad Fairy, o kadar ince ve akışkan ki tırnağın yan taraflarında toplanıyor, hem de daha ilk katta. Üstelik aşırı derecede şeffaf olduğu halde bunu yapıyor. Ayrıca kendi fırçası resmen ojeyi sürüklüyor, böylece boşluklar oluşuyor. Bir önceki kat tamamen kurumadan ikinci katı sürerseniz yandınız, alttaki katı acımadan bozuyor. Sağ elimin baş parmağını bu yüzden 3 kez sürmek zorunda kaldım. Zaten kazayla falan değerseniz ojeye, kırışmak yerine o bölgedeki tüm oje silinip gidiyor. Hata düzeltmeye kesinlikle izin vermeyen bir oje özetle.

Bu ojeyi bulamadıysanız çok büyük birşey kaçırmış sayılmazsınız. OPI Burlesque koleksiyonundan Show Must Go On!, renk olarak iyi bir alternatif, formülü de büyük ihtimalle bundan çok daha iyi. Bildiğim kadarıyla Gittigidiyor'dan Rio55 Burlesque koleksiyonundan istediğiniz ojeleri sipariş ediyor, temasa geçin derim.
