The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store - Always Find Hope Card

Hello everyone!  I can't tell you how good it feel to be back to creating again.  I have missed it so much.  It's been so long and might take me a little while to get back in to the swing of things but I'm working on it.  Today, I have a card to share with you.

The beautiful hydrangea image is from the Altenew - Garden Hydrangea stamp set and the sentiment is from the Stamp Simply Clear Stamps - Farmhouse Scriptural Quotes SS-026 stamp set.  The image of the hydrangea is so beautiful and makes me think of Spring.  I know am hoping for some warmer weather and maybe I am trying to will Spring to get here.  We are supposed to get more snow this Sunday!

The stamp set is one of the great layering sets from Altenew and I used the Tim Holtz Stamp Platform to do all of the stamping. For the inks I used the Altenew 4 Cubes - Rose Petal (Rose Quartz, Puffy Heart, Purple Wine, Cosmic Berry), Green Fields (Frayed Leaf, Forest Glades, Evergreen).

After all of the stamping was done I used the Altenew - Garden Hydrangea Die set to die cut all of the pieces.

For the background I knew I wanted to do a simple watercolor with shades of blue.  I wanted to have a white edge around the paper so I used washi tape and applied it to the edges of the  Ranger -Watercolor Paper.  Then I started by adding water to the paper with the 1'' flat paint brush.  I used the #6 round paint brush to add in the color.  For the color I used three different shades of blue Distress Oxide Inks -  Peacock Feathers, Broken China, and Salty Ocean.

Once all of the color was added onto the background I used my heat tool to make sure the paper was good and dry.  Then I added a combination of water droplets and used the Zig Wink of  Stella Clear Glitter Brush Pen to add some very fine droplets for some shimmer.

I used 3D Foam Squares to add the hydrangea and leaf die cuts.  Then I added more shimmer with the  Zig Wink of  Stella Clear Glitter Brush Pen.  I also used Ranger Glossy Accents for the flower centers.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stamp Simply Clear Stamps - Farmhouse Scriptural Quotes SS-026 using Memento Tuxedo Black.  I love this verse!

I added the watercolor piece to the front of a white A2 top folding card base.  To add a little more sparkle to the card I added a few 5mm Crystal Cup Sequins.

All of the supplies to create the card are listed and linked below and can also be found on The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store site.  To see more card inspiration I encourage you to check out the Stamp Simply Blog.

Thank you so much for stopping by today!  I am so happy to be creating again.  Enjoy your weekend and if you are somewhere with this crazy cold weather stay warm!

love, hugs, and blessings,
Heidi

The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store - Farmhouse Signage Collection - Choose Joy Card

Good morning and happy Friday!  Today, I have a card to share with you using a couple of the NEW releases from The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store Farmhouse Signage Collection.  I love the decorating style and all of the home decor with the Farmhouse style so I was really excited to see this collection.  This style always seems so fresh and clean to me with a very slight vintage feel at times.

Here is the card I designed using the  Stamp Simply Clear Stamps - Farmhouse Simple Sentiments SS-024 and Farmhouse Signage SS-027.  The sentiments are fantastic in the new sets and I love the font.  I used a few different sheets of pattern paper from the  Kaisercraft - Sea Breeze collection.

I used a piece of the paper that has the look of white washed boards to stamp the sentiment on.  To make sure I had perfect placement I used the Tim Holtz Stamp Platform to stamp the sentiment.  I used Espresso Truffle ink.

I used the largest heart die from the Farmhouse Pierced Nested Hearts SS-DIE013 die set to cut the heart shape. Then I stamped the little leafy twigs using  Altenew Sea Shore (4 pack) - Lagoon ink.  To finish off the heart I inked the outer edges with Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Ink - Vintage Photo.  To get the nice smooth blend I used one of the  Mini Ink Blending Tools and the Craft Mat .

Here is a look at how I laid out the pattern papers for the card front.  I also added some fig beige seam binding around the middle of the card.

Here is a close up of the heart and sentiment.  I also used a piece of the pattern paper and one of the dies from the Farmhouse Signage SS-DIE012 set to die cut the arrow and added it above the sentiment.  I added a few  Melissa Frances White Pearls for embellishments.

Here is a close up of the bow and I added one of the Petaloo Botanica Collection Teal Minis to the center of the bow.

Here is another look at the finished card.  I used a white A2 top folding card base.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  I hope you enjoyed the card share.  All of the supplies to create the card are listed and linked below and can be found at The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.  If you would like to see more card inspiration using the New releases I encourage you to check out the Stamp Simply Blog.

I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store - There is Always Something to be Thankful For CAS Card

Hello and happy Friday!  Today, I have another CAS (Clean And Simple) Fall card to share with you using one of the new Stamp Simply Clear Stamps - Welcome Home SS-020.

Here is the card I designed.  Check out these beautiful papers from Bo Bunny - Dreams of Autumn!  All of the papers in this collection are so pretty and I love the little touches of turquoise and purple in the papers too.  The little foxes are so adorable!  I used a white A2 card base and added a piece of the pattern paper to the front of the card.  Then I used a couple more patterns of paper and layered them together.  I used the Tim Holtz Stamp Platform to stamp the sentiments from the Welcome Home stamp set.  I stamped the word Thankful three times going across the front to create a word border.  Then I added three colors of the May Arts Burlap String - Brown, Purple, Yellow and wrapped the center of the card.  I looped the ends of the burlap string and then added a Petaloo Botanical Collection Purple Baby Blooms flower to the center.

Here is a close up of the card.  I added a few Simple Stories Enchanted Enamel Dots for embellishments.  To finish off the card I added some Foam Tape in between the paper layers.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  I hope you enjoyed the CAS card.  If you would like to see more card inspiration I encourage you to check out the Stamp Simply Blog.  All supplies used to create the card can be found at

The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store - CAS Welcome Fall Card

Hello everyone and happy Friday!  Today, I have a CAS (Clean And Simple) Fall card to share with you using the New Welcome Fall SS-020 stamp set from Stamp Simply Clear Stamps.

For my card I used some of the beautiful papers from the Authentique Bountiful collection.

I used the Tim Holtz Stamp Platform to stamp the image of the pumpkin from the Welcome Fall SS-020 stamp set using Altenew - Warm and Cozy (Sunkissed) ink.  I used a piece of the pattern paper to stamp on.

Here you can see a better image of the pattern paper I used.  I lined up the sentiment across the image of the pumpkin and then I used Altenew Coffee Break (Espresso) ink to stamp it.

I added a lot of shimmer to the leaves on the pattern paper and the sentiment using the Zig Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush Pen.  The nice thing about this pen is that it doesn't leave harsh line so you can quickly go over images and don't have to worry about every little detail.

I used kraft paper to layer behind the sentiment.  I used Foam Tape in between a couple of the layers and then I added some really pretty Prima Crystals for embellishments.  I adhered the card front to the base of an A2 kraft top folding card.

Thank you so much for joining me today and I hope you like this card share.  If you would like to see more card inspiration form the design team I encourage you to check out the Stamp Simply Blog.  All of the supplies used to make this card can be found at

I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Hugs & Smiles,
Heidi

Here is a look at the card I designed for the 2017 FALL Coffee Lovers Blog Hop.  You are also getting a sneak peek of the NEW  Stamp Simply Clear Stamps - Welcome Fall SS-020 and  Stamp Simply Steel Dies - Welcome Fall Pumpkin SS-DIE009.  I also used a couple of the coffee cup images and part of a sentiment from the Altenew - Coffee Love stamp set.  I love being able to stretch my stamps or use multiple stamps to create something new and that is what I did for the sentiment on this card.

Using the Tim Holtz Stamp Platform makes it so easy to use multiple stamps and create your own unique images or sentiments.  To do this you can use a post-it note or even just a piece of paper.  Cover up the part of the stamp that you don't want to ink.  Then, ink up the other part of the stamp, remove the inky paper piece and stamp as usual.

You can see here I only inked up the part of the sentiment that says I love you more than with Memento Tuxedo Black.  This is a great sentiment because you can add so many different this after the word than to create unique and personalized sentiments.

Next I lined up the stamp from Welcome Fall SS-020.  I repeated the same process by covering part of the stamp, adding the ink, remove the paper and stamp.  On my card I used Altenew Warm and Cozy (Orange Cream) for the pumpkin spice part of the sentiment but in the photo I used black ink so it would show up better.  I repeated the same process for the word spice.

Here you can see a close up of the finished sentiment.  I inked the edges of the paper using a Ranger Mini Ink Blending Tool and Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Ink Vintage Photo.  I added My Mind's Eye Follow Your Heart Enamel Dots for embellishments and to pull in some of the aqua blue color from the pattern papers.

Here is a close up of the images.  I used Copic markers for all of the coloring.  I fussy cut the coffee cups and added some Foam Tape to the back.  I used the coordinating die for the pumpkin and I added two layers of foam tape to the pumpkin.

All of the pattern paper is from the  Bo Bunny Dreams of Autumn collection.  I used a white A2 top folding card base.  I hope you enjoyed today's card share!

Don't forget to check out The Stamp Simply Blog and 2017 FALL Coffee Lovers Blog Hop.  All of the supplies used to create my card can be found at The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.

The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store - Altenew Dahlia Birthday Wishes Watercolor with Distress Oxide Inks

Hello and happy Friday!  Today, is my day to post for The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.  I have a watercolor card to share with you using some of the Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Inks.

Here is the card I designed.  I also did the masking technique on my card.  The floral stamps I used are from Altenew Dahlia Blossoms and the sentiment is from Stamp Simply Clear Stamps Birthday Blessings SS-Sent003.

I know it's a little hard to see the stamping and right now it looks like a hot mess but I promise it will get better lol.  All of the stamping was done using a VersaMark Ink pad and then heat embossed using Ranger Super Fine Embossing Powder - White.  You can click on the picture to enlarge it and see more details.  I used Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Inks Broken China and Faded Jeans to watercolor the background.  I used a heat tool to dry the paper and then I added water droplets with the Tim Holtz Distress Sprayer.  You will see this in the photo below.

Before I started to watercolor the flowers I used a paper towel to blot up the water droplets on the background and then I used a heat tool to dry the paper again.  I love the look the water droplets adds the the background.  For the flowers I used Distress Oxide Inks Worn Lipstick and Fossilized Amber.  Before I added the color I added clean water to each flower.  Doing this helps the color to blend and flow when it is put on the paper.

For the leaves I used three colors of the Distress Oxide Inks Cracked PistachioPeeled Paint and Broken China,  When the Peeled Paint ink was watered down it was a pretty yellow/green and then I mixed the Cracked Pistachio and Broken China to get a nice blue/green.

I used the Zig Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush Pen to add some shimmer to all of the flowers and leaves.  Be sure to scribble off the pen on some scratch paper in between colors and before you put it away to clean the brush tip.

To finish off the card I stamped the sentiment from the Stamp Simply Clear Stamps Birthday Blessings SS-Sent003 using VersaMark Ink.  Then I heat embossed it using Ranger Super Fine Embossing Powder - White and my heat tool.  Then I backed the card front with Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L Foam Tape.  I added the card front to a white A2 top folding card base.

Thank you so much for stopping by today!  I hope you enjoyed the card share and some pictures of the process.  If you would like to see more inspiration from the design team hop on over the Stamp Simply Blog.  Also, check out The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store for all of the supplies used on my card.  I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store - I Adore You Distress Watercolor Card

Hello blogging friends!  I hope you all had a very Happy 4th of July celebration and long holiday weekend.  For many years our town has had the parade on the 3rd of July and it comes right by our house.  We always have a big cookout and invite family and friends.  This year we had close to 40 people over.  It was a lot of fun to see everyone, celebrate, and have lots of yummy food.

Today, is my day to post for The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.  I have a Distress Watercolor card and tutorial to share with you.

Here is the card I designed.  I used the Altenew - Adore You Clear Stamp Set and the masking technique for my card.  I used Tim Holtz Distress Ink for all of the coloring.  I did a combination of ink blending and watercolor.

To do the masking technique I stamped out each of the images I was going to use on to a piece of full sticky post-it note paper.  You can also use masking paper.  I have some of the masking paper in my stash and it works great!  The post-it notes just happen to be on my desk and it was the first thing I grabbed.  Once I stamped all of the images then I fussy cut them.  For masking I like to cut the images just inside the outline.  This helps to prevent getting the white space in between the images.  I stamped each image with Versamark Ink and then heat embossed using Ranger Super Fine Detail Gold Embossing Powder.  For masking you want to stamp the image that you want in front first.  Then you add the mask on top of the image and then stamp another image.  Repeat.  When doing the masking technique you can stamp several images and once all of the masks are removed it will look like one larger image.

I wanted to do some ink blending for the background so I left all of the masks in place and I stamped and fussy cut a few more of the smallest flower.  I started with the ink blending right next to the flower cluster.  I started with Cracked Pistachio.  To do the ink blending I used the Ranger Mini Ink Blending Tools.  I used a lighter hand to ink blend the Cracked Pistachio.  I didn't want it to be too dark right next to the flowers.  Then, I added Peacock Feather, Mermaid Lagoon, and finished with Wilted Violet.  I used a heavier had for applying the Mermaid Lagoon and Wilted Violet.

For this next part I got a little bit ahead of myself.  I used the Distress Spray Bottle to add the water droplets and then a paper towel to blot the water.  If I was going to do this again I would remove the masks before adding the water.  But luckily it all worked out.  :)

Here is a look at the card front once I finished the watercolor.  I used Wilted Violet and Picked Raspberry for the flowers.  I used both colors for the smaller flowers.  I used Black Soot for the flower centers.  For the leaves I used Mowed Lawn and Peacock Feather,  Once the paper was dry I used a dry paper towel to go over the embossed areas and remove and excess color from the Distress Inks.  You can click on the image to enlarge and see more of the detail if you would like.

I wanted to stamp and emboss the sentiment on to a piece of black cardstock so I used the EK Success Powder Tool on the paper.  When you use the Powder Tool your embossing powder will only stick where you want it to.  I used Versamark Ink to stamp one of the sentiments from the Adore You Clear Stamp Set and then I added Ranger Super Fine Detail Gold Embossing Powder.  I used a heat tool to melt and heat set the powders.  Then I let the paper cool for a couple of seconds and wiped away the powder residue from the  Powder Tool.  I cut the sentiment into a strip and then fussy cut the end for a banner.

I love the bright and vibrant color from the Distress Inks.  For a little bit of sparkle I added a few Iridescent Sequins.

Here is a close up of the sentiment.  I used some Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L Foam Tape to pop up the sentiment.

Here is a close up of the flower cluster.

To finish off the card I added Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L Foam Tape to the back of the watercolor panel and then added that to a black A2 top folding card base.

I hope you enjoyed today's card and tutorial.  If you would like to see more inspiration from the design team check out the Stamp Simply Blog.  Also, check out The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store for all of your paper crafting needs.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Hugs & Smiles,
Heidi
