Hello Blogging Friends! Today, is going to have to busy another quick blog post. Maybe when I get back home I can do another post with more details on this project.

This is a Goddess wall hanging that I designed using one of the New Releases from Spellbinders, LF-013 Jewel Goddess.

Thank you so much for stopping by! I am sorry about the short and quick blog posts but things have been a little crazy with CHA the past couple of days--crazy in a good way--LOL!! I love being able to see friends and enjoy our time together.

Journey Tag

Good morning blogging friends!Today is the first day of CHA!! If I can get an pictures of the event I will try but most of my time is spent working in the Spellbinders booth so I don't have much of an opportunity to get out there and take pictures.

I have a quick project to share with you today. I made a tag using some of the New Releases from Spellbinders--Grand Calibur, S5-099 Jewel Keys, S5-086 Bitty Blossoms, S5-081 Damask Motifs. I think the S5-086 Bitty Blossoms are going to be a new favorite of mine!

For the background I very lightly inked the tag with Distress Inks and then I applied Liquid Laminate and added gold mica flakes. All of the coloring on the tag was done with inks.

Sorry for such a quick post but thank you so much for stopping by today! I hope you have a wonderful and creative day!!

Hugs & Smiles,
Heidi

Get Well Soon Card

Hello blogging friends! I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving with your family and friends!! Did you go out and do some shopping on Black Friday or did you just stay home? We didn't go out to do any shopping but we did get some great deals on a few online purchases.

Today, I have a Get Well card to share with you. The card is for the wife of one of Eric's co-workers. She has been in the hospital. I hope she will have a speedy recovery and feel up to coming the the company Christmas party in a few weeks.

I used one of the images from the new Crafty Secrets CD #2 Creating With Vintage Illustrations. I think the image of the little bird and flowers is so pretty.

I wanted the bird and the flowers to really pop so I added a little more color to the image with Prismacolor Colored Pencils. I also added a little Pralines & Cream Fairy Dust Glitter from Clearsnap to the flourishes.

I printed the sentiment onto Simply Smooth Ivory cardstock and used S5-030 Fancy Tags Two to cut/emboss the die cut shape. Then I layered the diecut, Fancy Tags Two Nestaboard and Fancy Tags Two White Pearl Nestabling from Want2Scrap. I used 3D Foam Squares from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L to pop up the tag.

I added a seam binding bow and some paper flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts. Then I added a little glitter to the flowers.

To create the shape card I used LF-127 Grand Scalloped Squares and for the image of the bird I used LF-161 Grand Labels One die templates from Spellbinders™.

Thank you so much for stopping by today! I hope everyone is enjoying the holiday weekend. How many of you already have your trees up and house decorated? We still need to do ours but hopefully we will get the tree put up and all of the decorating done this week.

Hugs & Smiles,
Heidi

Thank You!! - Crafty Secrets CD #2 - Little Birdie Tag

Good morning blogging friends! Before I get started with my projects today (yes, I have some artwork to share!) I want to say a HUGE Thank You to all of you for all of the wonderful comments, emails and phone calls!! Thank you for all of your thoughts, prayers, links, information about books, home remedies and all of your support!!! It means SO much to me!!! I haven't been on the computer much the past several days, I have just been taking it easy and trying to relax and feel better but I have been reading through all of your wonderful emails. Thank You!! Thank You!! THANK YOU!!!!!

I also want to say I guess I was kind of surprised with all the emails from people who also have RA (in the crafting industry), or friends and family who suffer from RA and other diseases that are similar. I want you to know that I am keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers.

Yesterday, I was feeling a little better so last night I sat down to do a little creating. Luckily the past few weeks I was working ahead on several projects so I will still be able to have artwork to post while I am working on feeling better and getting my medication regulated.

Sandy from Crafty Secrets made some Big Announcements yesterday on the Heartwarming Vintage Blog! She is releasing a second CD, Creating With Vintage Illustrations. You can pre-order the CD or it will be available for Black Friday.

The CD is filled with over 200 files and let me tell you the images are Beautiful!! All this week the Crafty Secrets DT will be sharing projects made using the New CD on their blogs. Sandy also has another great announcement so be sure to click HERE for all of the details.

I think the best thing about having digital images is that you have so many choices--and we all LOVE to have choices, right? LOL! Here is one of the projects I made using an image from the New CD2 Creating With Vintage Illustrations.

This sweet little birdie image is in black and white and prefect for coloring. I tried something new, well it's not new but it is new to me. ;-) I have had a set of Prisma colored pencils for almost two and have never really used them. My dear sweet friend, Linda Duke has been telling me (Forever) that I really need to try the Prisma colored pencils. She told me I would love them, but I just kept putting if off. I guess I was thinking that it would be a lot like the watercolor pencils and even through I like the watercolor pencils it always seemed like I really, really had to work to get the colors to blend the way I wanted them. Well, yesterday I went to Linda's blog and she had the most Gorgeous card posted and she colored it with Prisma colored pencils so I thought I just have to give this a try--LOL! I think Linda is the queen of Prisma colored pencils!! Linda, if you read this I hope you are proud of me. ;-)

I printed the image on Simply Smooth Ivory from Discount Cardstock. Then I used a pointed q-tip and baby oil to do the blending and I was very happily surprised at how easy the colors blend. Now I am going to want all the colors!!

I layered the colored image on to a piece of Posh Milk Chocolate Felt from Discount Cardstock and then embellished the tag. The ribbon is from the Shimmer Satin Bright Assortment and I also used Penelope Natural Crochet Lace from Really Reasonable Ribbon. I also added a vintage button at the top.

Along the bottom I added Gold Leaf trim from RRR and 2-Tone Baby Pink Sweetheart Blossom, 5/8'' Baby Pink Open Roses, 1/8'' Burgundy Closed Rose Buds from Wild Orchid Crafts. I just received my first order from Wild Orchid Crafts and I LOVE their products!!

I also added a few tiny green leaves from I Am Roses to mix in with the gold leaf trim and paper flowers.

Thank you so much for stopping by today! I hope you have a wonderful day and things don't get too crazy for everyone trying to get ready for the Thanksgiving holiday.

Hugs & Smiles,
Heidi

Crafty Secrets Rose Music Note Cards

Hello Blogging Friends! Today, I have a set of four greeting cards using Crafty Secrets Creating with Vintage Patterns CD, Grand Greetings and Mini Frames Stamp Sets.

I just love the shabby chic look for this card set! I used the Creating with Vintage Patterns CD to design the pattern paper. I used the Music Notes and then layered Rose Clusters on the top.

I used the image of the postage stamp from the Mini Frames stamp set from Crafty Secrets and then I used S4-348 Postage Stamps die templates to create the die cut shapes.

I used Grand Greeting stamp set from Crafty Secrets for all of the sentiments.

Next I added a seam binding bow and some twine, punched a hole in the faux postage stamp and tied a bow.

For a finishing touch I added a charm, glitter and some pearls.

Using the Creating with Vintage Patterns CD allowed me to design my own pattern paper and these cards came together so quick and easy! Thank you so much for stopping by today and I hope you have a wonderful weekend!!

Hugs & Smiles,
Heidi

Crafty Secrets Design Team Gift Bag/Envelope Challenge

Good morning blogging friends! Today, is the Crafty Secrets Design Team monthly challenge. For this month Sandy and Vicki challenged us to make a gift bag using an envelope. Click HERE to watch a video on how to make the gift bags using an envelope! Each of the Design Team Members picked a theme for their project and I picked Halloween.

I made a Halloween treat bag and a matching Halloween Tag for my project.

I started with a 6 1/4'' x 6 1/4'' envelope. I sealed the envelope and then cut off the fold at the top allowing for the opening. Then I scored the three sides with the folds at 1/2''. To create the decorative edge I used E8-001 Classic Scallop Edgeabilities® from Spellbinders™ and then I inked all the edges with Old Paper Distress Ink.

The pattern paper is from the Creating with Vintage Patterns CD from Crafty Secrets and I inked the edges with Dusty Concord Distress Ink.

I used some of the images and chipboard pieces from Crafty Secrets Halloween Vintage Postcard Kits to embellish the treat bag.

I layered the papers, chipboard pieces and a few Halloween die cuts as shown. Then I added green trim and black lace to the top of the treat bag. I added some Purple Rhinestones along the scalloped border and then I added some glitter for a little sparkle and filled the treat bag with some yummy chocolate!

To create the tag I started with a piece of Simply Smooth Ivory and stamped several images from the Costume Cuties Stamp Set from Crafty Secrets. Then I inked the edges with Old Paper Distress Ink.

I used Copic markers to color the images.

I layered the papers, added glitter and rhinestones as shown and then I added green trim and black lace to the top and bottom of the tag.

In this picture you can see some of the sparkle from the glitter.

Please be sure to visit each of the Design Team Member to see what they have to share with you. With all of the different themes I know I can't wait to see what they created!!

Thank you so much for stopping by today and I hope you have a Fantastic Day!!

Hugs & Smiles,
Heidi

Witching Hour Card

Good morning blogging friends! I can't believe how fast October is flying by! It seems like it was just the first of the month and now it's almost Halloween!!

I designed a fun little Halloween card using Costume Cuties from Crafty Secrets. Costume Cuties is a fantastic stamp set with 21 stamps including 8 sentiments and it's perfect for all of your Halloween crafting!

Here is a close up of the sweet little witch image and the sentiment. I just love the little witch--she so adorable! I used Simply Smooth White cardstock with S5-072 Blossom Tags and Accents and cut/embossed the scalloped circle shape. Then I stamped the sentiment and image using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I added the color using Copic markers (listed below). Then I inked the edges to make the embossing around the edges pop.

Here is a close up of the background paper and the little boot. I used Orange Vellum and Grand Impressabilities® GI-001 Fall Splendor to emboss the background. To create the little boots I used S4-282 Witches Brew and added 72 Count Purple Rhinestones from Want2Scrap™.

To create the bats I used S4-277 Nested Bats and Midnight Black cardstock. I used 3D Foam Squares to pop up the bats.

I also added a black bow and purple rhinestone to the side for a finishing touch.

Thank you so much for stopping by today! I hope you have a wonderful and creative day!!

Sweet Puppy Kerra Layout

Hello blogging friends! Today, I have a layout of our sweet puppy to share with you. Well, I guess she's not exactly a puppy anymore but she is just as playful as one LOL. ;-)

I love adding dimension to my layouts and I know that doesn't always work the best when putting them into an album but this one is going on an easel and I am going to use it as a home decor piece. I love to have layout out around the house for display and to enjoy them. I started out with a piece of Kraft paper and then I used one of the lace borders from Crafty Secrets Antique Trims stamp set. Next I stamped flourishes around the outer edges using Crafty Secrets Flourishes stamp set. I used Rich Cocoa ink to stamp the images. Then I inked the edges of the paper with Ranger Rusty Hinge Distress Ink and inked the outer edges with Rich Cocoa.

To create the letters for the title I used the Grand Calibur, LF-003 Donna's Alphas die templates and Premium Craft Foils Jewel Tones from Spellbinders. First I cut the letters and then I used the Grand Impressabilities GI-001 Fall Splendor to emboss the leaf print into the foil and then I sanded the foil. I added some Baby Bling Black Rhinestones to the side of each letter. You can also see a close up of the Flourish stamps along the edge of the paper.

Here is a close up of the flourishes and leaves. I used Premium Craft Foils Precious Metals and Jewel Tones and S5-071 Twisted Metal Tags and Accents, S5-073 Orchard Harvest Tags & Accents to make the flourishes and leaves. After I cut/embossed the foil then I sanded it. I also added a piece of lace trim and Finesse Swirls Black Rhinestones and 72 Counts Brown Rhinestones from Want2Scrap™.

Here is a close up of the Antique Trims lace stamp from Crafty Secrets.

Thank you so much for stopping by today! I hope you are enjoying your weekend!!
