The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store - Farmhouse Christmas 4 x 4 Note Card Set

Hello everyone!  I am really excited to share a mini release with all of you from The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.  It's  just two stamp sets but they are a wonderful addition to the already very popular Farmhouse Series.  We are introducing Farmhouse Christmas and Farmhouse All Occasion Greetings.  Today I have a set of four Christmas note cards using the Farmhouse Christmas Stamp Set.

Here is a look at the Christmas note cards I made.  These are quick and easy note cards to create and they are perfect to send to someone or tuck in with a gift.  I used Kaisercraft Christmas Edition for the pattern paper.  Then I stamped the images and sentiments from the Stamp Simply Clear Stamps - Farmhouse Christmas SS-035 with VersaMark and heat embossed with Ranger Super Fine Detail Silver Embossing Powder.  I used a white 4 x 4 top folding card base and layered it with a deep red and wood grain pattern paper and then adhered the main stamped panel.  To finish off the cards I added a few red Prima Sugardot Stickers.  Now, I will say it was a little hard to photograph the cards with the silver embossing on the black and white pattern paper but in real life the silver embossing is so pretty on these little note cards.

All of the supplies to create the note cards are listed and linked below and can also be found at The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.  I encourage you to check out the Stamp Simply Blog to see more beautiful card designs using the NEW stamps from the Farmhouse collection.

Thanks so much for joining me today and I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Much love, hugs, and blessings,
Heidi

The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store - We Wish You A Merry Christmas Card

Hello everyone and happy Friday!  I can't believe Christmas is this weekend?  Do you have all of your shopping and gift wrapping done?  I wish I could say yes to that question but unfortunately the answer is no.  I've been a bit under the weather so we are a little behind with our shopping and gift wrapping.  But I'm not going to stress about it because somehow everything that needs to get done always does. :) So today, I have my last Christmas card to share with you.

I know it's getting down to the wire for making Christmas cards so I wanted to keep it CAS (Clean And Simple).  I love using paper collections that have lots of cut aparts for CAS cards.  The Doodlebug - Milk and Cookies collection has several cut aparts that are perfect for CAS cards.  I used the cute image of the Santa and then I backed it with a piece of white cardstock and added some Foam Tape to the back side for some added dimension.  Then I used another piece of the pattern paper for a mat on the card base.  I added the image of the Santa and then I cut one of the sentiment strips from the same paper collection.  I fussy cut banner ends on the sentiment strip.  Then I added some more Foam Tape to one side of the banner and EZ Runner to the other side.  Doing this pops up the sentiment strip to match the Santa image.  Next, I added some  May Arts - Red Wrinkled Edge Sheer Ribbon around the bottom of the card and tied it in a simple knot.

Here is a close up of the cute little Santa image.  Cut aparts like this make for very quick CAS cards.

I love the pattern paper in the background with all of the candy.  Especially the ribbon candy--it reminds me of Christmas when I was little.  I added Ranger - Glossy Accents to the candy cane Santa is holding on to and all of the candy canes on the pattern paper.  Doing this adds a fun texture element to the card.

For this card I used a piece of red cardstock to create a A2 top folding card base.  I hope you enjoyed this CAS card for today.

You can click on the image below to enlarge it and see all of the details.  The Sales and Specials at The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store are good through the end of the year.

If you would like to see more card inspiration I encourage you to check out the Stamp Simply Blog.  All of the supplies used to create this card are listed and linked below and can be found at

I'm not sure if I will be doing another blog post before Christmas or not.  If not I want to wish you all a very Merry Christmas!!!
I hope you have a wonderful time with your family and friends.  Good times creating beautiful memories but most important of all remembering the true meaning of Christmas.

Much love and blessing,
Heidi

Here is a look at the card I designed using the NEW Stamp Simply Clear Stamps - Coffee or Tea? SS-023 stamp set and coordinating Stamp Simply Steel Dies - Coffee or Tea? SS-DIE011.  I also used some of the beautiful papers from Kaisercraft Letters to Santa.

Here is a look at the new stamp and die set.  The stamp set is filled with so many great sentiments and verses.  The die set is really fun because it allows you to build your cups.  So if you want to use different colors or patterns for the cup and the handle you can.  I think the font is so pretty on the word dies and I love the tiny tag too.  Also some of the sentiments are just the perfect size to fit in the tiny tag.

To start, I picked out the pattern paper for the cup and the handle.  The image of Santa is a punch out that is included in the paper pad.  I also took two strips of the red paper with the polk-a-dots that were 1/2" x 6 1/2" and scored the paper every 1/4".  Then I folded the paper and adhered the two ends.  This is the base for the rosette.  Position the paper so the polk-a-dot side is face up and then push towards to the center to create the rosette shape.  Add a bit of hot glue to hold in place.

Here you can see the coffee cup once it is assembled.  I used Delicata Golden Glitz Ink to ink all the edges of the coffee cup, handle, rosette, and image of Santa.

Next, I wanted to stamp the sentiment in the upper corner of the pattern paper.  I used the EK Success powder tool the prep the area before doing the heat embossing.  Doing this assures you only end up with the embossing powder in the areas you want it.  I used the Tim Holtz Tonic Stamp Platform to stamp my sentiment and have perfect placement.

I added Ranger Super Fine Detail Gold Embossing Powder to the stamp sentiment and used a heat tool to melt and heat set the powder.

Here is a close up of the embossed sentiment on the card.  For the tiny little gold beaded pearls I added some Zig Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush Pen for some sparkle and then I added a drop of Ranger Glossy Accents on each of them.  I also used some of the My Mind's Eye Charmed Enamel Dots in gold for embellishments on the card.

Here is a look at the cup on the front of the card.  I also added some on the enamel dots along the bottom under the cup.

To finish off the card I added the card front to a white A2 top folding card base.

I hope you enjoyed today's card share and tutorial!  If you would like to see more card inspiration I encourage you to check out the Stamp Simply Blog.  All of the supplies to create the card are listed and linked below and can be found at The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.  Also, just as a friendly reminder there is still a sale in the store.

The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store - Baby It's Cold Outside Christmas Card

Hello everyone and happy December 1st!  Gosh, it just doesn't seem like December at all lol.  The weather has been so beautiful here in southern Minnesota the past few weeks.  Today, I have a fun Christmas card to share with you.

I didn't think about the sentiment on the card until after the card was made.  Kind of funny since it's been unusually warm here lol.  But I know the cold it coming!  Isn't this paper darling?  The collection is from Simple Stories - Winter Wonderland 6 x 6 paper pad.  I love that so many companies have paper collections with sentiments and cutouts.  It makes card creating so quick and easy.  If you are a beginner or have been paper crafting for years I think we can all appreciate being able to whip up some cards easy peasy.

Here is a close up of one of the corner clusters.  For each corner I used a snowflake from the May Arts Satin Jumbo Silver Snowflakes - By the Yard ribbon.  This is a fun ribbon but the snowflakes are also great to cut apart and use as embellishments.  I added a Petaloo Botanica Minis Teal Flower in the center of the snow flake.  Then, I applied Ranger Glossy Accents on the flower and sprinkled on some Ranger Distress Stickles Clear Rock Candy for some sparkle.  I love the clear rock candy on flowers!  Next, I added a few sequins.  I used the 5mm Silver Sequins and 5mm Iridescent White.  If you look close at the white sequins even though they are the iridescent ones they appear to be just white.  I wanted to add some white sequins but didn't really want the iridescent look for this card and I noticed these sequins are an opaque white on the backside.  So why not run with that--I flipped them over and glued them down.  They still look great and more bang for your buck--gotta love that!

Here is a close up of the sentiment.  It was hard to get a picture of but this card is filled with tons of shimmer IRL.  I used the Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush Pen on the sentiment and all of the floral and leaf images on the pattern paper.

Here is a close up of the bottom part of the card.  You can click on the image to enlarge it and see some of the shimmer.  All the sparkle and shimmer from the Wink of Stella pen never gets old and I especially love it on Christmas cards.

I added some Foam Tape behind the sentiment and then the card front was added to a snow cone A2 top folding card base.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  I hope you enjoyed today's card share.  If you would like to see more card inspiration I encourage you to check out the Stamp Simply Blog.

The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store - Peace On Earth Christmas Card

Hello and Happy Black Friday!  I hope you all had a very Happy and Blessed Thanksgiving!  We had a wonderful and relaxing Thanksgiving with family and friends.  All of the food was so yummy!  Are you taking advantage of the Black Friday sales and braving the crowds?  My husband went out into the crowds and our oldest son and his girlfriend are hitting the sales at Mall of America--bright and early--5 am!  Not me, I stayed home lol.  Online shopping works for me--laptop, credit card, coffee and I'm good to go lol.  :)  Today, I have a Christmas card to share with you using some of the beautiful Wild Rose Studio pattern papers, embossing folder, and some inks.  Have you ever used a embossing folder with pattern paper?

Here is a look at the card I created.  The pattern paper is from the Wild Rose Studio - Birds & Berries collection.  The papers have so many pretty patterns and images.

I trimmed the paper down to fit the card front.  Then, I used the Darice Embossing Folder Pine Branches in Corner to emboss the pattern paper.  The paper and embossing folder are a perfect match!

I wanted to add some color to the embossed areas so it would really pop.  I picked out some of the Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Ink to match the paper.  I used the mini ink blending tools to apply the ink.  I used Lucky CloverPeeled PaintVintage Photo, and Salty Ocean.  I love how the inks match so perfectly and the embossed areas totally change the look of the paper.

The sentiment is from the Stamp Simply Clear Stamps - Merry Christmas SS-011 set.  I used VersaMark Ink to stamp onto black cardstock and then I heat embossed with Ranger Super Fine White Embossing Powder.  I added some foam tape on the backside of the sentiment.  I also went over the embossed areas and all of the images with the Zig Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush Pen for some shimmer.  I also squeezed out a little of the Wink of Stella and added some water to it and then tapped the brush over the paper adding more shimmer over the entire card from.  You click on the image to enlarge it and see more shimmer.

Here is a close up of the little bird and the embossed area.

To finish off the card I added a few drops of Ranger Glossy Accents and sprinkled on some Stampendous Crystal Glitter Multi Ultra Fine.  The card base is a white A2 top folding card.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  I hope you enjoyed the card and tutorial.  If you would like to see more card inspiration I encourage you to visit the Stamp Simply Blog.  All of the supplies to create the card are listed and linked below and can be found at The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.

If you braved the crowds for Black Friday I hope you found some amazing deals!

Happy Holiday!

The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store - Just Believe CAS Christmas Card

Hello and happy Friday!  I can't believe how fast this month has just flown by.  Next week it will be Thanksgiving here in the States.  Now is the time to be working on Christmas cards before all the hustle and bustle of the holiday season sets in.  Today, I have a very CAS (Clean And Simple) Christmas card to share with you using some of the beautiful papers from Kaisercraft.

Here is a look at the card I designed.  Now I have good news and bad news.  The bad new is that the Christmas Jewel Collection is sold out--I'm very sorry!  But the good news is all of the Kaisercraft Collections have such a beautiful assortment of papers, cut apart images, and sentiments you could very easily recreate this card with any of the other collections.  With a few layers of paper, a little foam tape and some Petaloo Baby Blooms Purple flowers this card came together in a matter of minutes.

Here is a close up of the sentiment and flowers.  You can also see the pretty foil detail on the paper.  A lot of the Kaisercraft Collections include foiling and sometimes embossed papers too.

To finish the card I added the layered card front panel to a white A2 top folding card base.

Thank you so much for joining me today and I hope you enjoyed this CAS Christmas card.  If you would like to see more card inspiration I encourage you to visit the Stamp Simply Blog.  All of the supplies to create the card are listed and linked below and can be found at The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.  I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Happy creating!
Heidi

The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store - Peace On Earth Christmas Card with Ink Smooshing.

Hello everyone and happy Friday!  Today, I have a beautiful Christmas card to share with you using one of the stamp sets and die sets from The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.

Here is a look at the card I designed.  Don't you just love the soft colors in the background?  I had some fun playing with the Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Inks.  But you might be surprised to know I did the ink smooshing technique and achieved such light colors.  Actually I didn't lol.  The secret is to use a vellum overlay.

Here is a look at the paper with the smooshing technique.  The vellum makes such a huge difference.  I used im Holtz Distress Oxide Inks - Wilted VioletSalty Ocean, and Faded Jeans.

I stamped the sentiment on to the Vellum and the star on to a piece of white cardstock using VersaMark Ink and then heat embossing with Ranger Super Fine Detail Embossing Powder.  I used the Stamp Simply Steel Dies - Merry Christmas Star SS-DIE008 to die cut the star.

Here is a close up of the star.  I added some imply Stories Record It Enamel Dots for embellishments and added Foam Tape to pop up the star.  I applied adhesive to the backside of the vellum where the star and enamel dots are to hold the vellum in place on the card front.

Here is a close of the sentiment and the background.

To finish off the card I trimmed down the watercolor and vellum and added foam tape to the back and then added the card front to a white A2 top folding card base.  This card came together pretty quick and easy and would be a great one to make multiples of if you don't mind your fingers getting a little inky.

Thank you so much for stopping by today!  If you would like to see more card inspiration I encourage you to check out the Stamp Simply Blog.  All supplies used for the card are listed and linked below and can be found at The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.

Happy Crafting!

The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store - Letters to Santa CAS Christmas Card

Hello everyone and happy Friday!  Today, I have a beautiful but CAS (Clean And Simple) Christmas card to share with you.  If you have followed me for any length of time you know I love KaiserCraft paper pads.  They always have so many gorgeous papers and in the back of each paper pad they have a few pages of cut apart images and sentiments.  These work great for CAS card!

Here is a look at the card I designed.  Check out those papers and the beautiful image of Santa!  The Letters To Santa paper pad does NOT disappoint!  When you have such wonderful papers to work with the cards come together so quickly.  I used three sheet of pattern paper from the collection and one of the cut apart images.  I layered the paper adding some Foam Tape in between for some extra dimension.  Then I added some beautiful May Arts Red 1.5" Sheer Wrinkled Edge ribbon and a few Petaloo Bontanica Collection Red Mini FlowersNOTE:  We are nearly sold out of the Red Minis. (1 pack left at the time of this edit) A good alternative are the Red Baby Blooms. They are the exact color and size, just a tad bit different in style.  They’ll work perfectly on a card such as this.I used my Zig Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush Pen to add some sparkle to Santa's hat, the flowers, and also the poinsettias and holly leaves on the paper.

Here is a close up to see some of the sparkle.  You can click on any of the images to enlarge them and see more detail.

Here is another close up picture.  I just love this image of Santa!

I added the card front to a ivory A2 top folding card base.  Like I said the KaiserCraft paper pads are filled with so many beautiful papers, cut apart images and sentiments you would be able to create several Christmas cards.  If you are wanting to mail Christmas cards and don't want the bulk of the flowers you could always add some sequins, pearls, or rhinestones in place of the flowers.

Thank you so much for stopping by today!  I hope you enjoyed today's card share.  If you would like to see more card inspiration I encourage you to check out the Stamp Simply Blog.  All of the supplies used for the card are listed and linked below and they can be found at The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.

Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Heidi
